Guy is told bike doesn't run. Drives 3 hours with no trailer. Plans to ride it home. I'd say it's the guys responsibility yet you hauled it for free. That's great customer service.
*this (MC) purchase should have been ready to go before its presentation.. the sale went on because the costumer was desperate...
@@DTO.. the guy saw it in the background of another vehicle. He was told it wasnt ready, but he still wanted it as is.
Shit he paid 4800 for a hike that don't start. Hauling don't cost homie nothing🤣 he didn't want that bike coming back🤣
KBBF3 I wouldn’t trust driving that bike around the block. Hot mess
You don’t “ drive “ a bike you RIDE a bike gawd
Pro Tip: when a mechanic sells his bike which doesn't run, then that's a bad sign.
I bought a bike that didn't run from a coworker in 2007. I still have it today. 96k miles on the clock and counting.
It only needs better battery and starter.
i was thinking the same thing. a mechanic put $20k into this bike, it doesnt run, and he sold it for 3k to b&b? sounds sketchy to me
@@YoungJay5597 most times the mechanic won't work to much on his own things and just is tired of it. I did bought a car before 1/4 of the normal price becouse it was broken and he did not care and did not know what was wrong. Spent 1 and a half day in the garage and only spent 30 dollars in parts going trou everything and fixed it. Mechanics will just lose intrest in things they worked to much whit.
Yeah, they saw THAT dude comin’.
The most memorable ride was with my wife 50 years ago, we went for a Sunday ride along the Pacific Coast Hwy From Santa Monica CA to Oxnard CA and coming home on the Freeway to the San Diego Fwy from the San Fernando Valley, it was great along the coast but when we went inland to go home it was so hot about 105-110. We were both dying from the heat and came upon a Semi Truck and Trailer that was dripping what had to be ice water from the back of the trailer, so we stayed behind it for at least an hour before we got off the Freeway to make a pit stop at McDonalds, as we got off the bike we realized that the truck we had followed was indeed dripping ice water the other realization was that it had been a fish truck, as long as we were moving we couldn’t smell it but once we stopped OH Brother. 😂😂😂😂
Same exact thing for me. Dude in the dealership sold it to me THEN asked if i knew how to ride. i told him nope and he took me to the parking lot and gave me a10 min tutorial. I rode it all the way home in 1st lol
That’s is a very heart warming story
Lol😆 good story👍
Good idea to not follow a semi. A reefer trailer sometimes has produce and fresh fish covered in ice. Also, if a trailer tire blows it can be deadly for riders behind it.
“ The Californians” SNL.
Craziest motorcycle trip? In 2008 I gave away almost all of my stuff, sold my truck, and rode a 2006 Triumph Speed Triple from Lawrence, KS (right by KC) to Eugene, OR to move there. I rode just under 2000 miles in late September over 4 days with a backpack on that easily weighed 90 lbs. I adjusted the straps so the "passenger seat" held most of the weight of the pack and just made it happen. Never saw any rain, and had warm beautiful weather the whole way. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever done. Being from KS I had never had a chance to ride any truly amazing places like that. Through Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, and Oregon. I took a bunch of two lane highways. Truly epic...
That sounds so good man, I'm an Aussie, and ride everyday for the last 26 yrs, I'd really like to finish up riding in America, you know.. the classic cross country gig..
Sounds very cool. Reminds me of the trip I took through Virginia several years ago.
That's my kinda trip right there.
I'm in Springfield or, super soon I'm buying 2 bikes, one for me and one for my uncle, and giving myself about a year to get comfortable on it and were going to hit 3 corners to see family, my cousins, his daughters, live in Connecticut and florida.. If we can I hope to talk him into leaving FL to the 101 and taking it up to oregon, that way we hit all 4 corners.. I know its a big challenge, but its a once in a lifetime chance and I plan on riding every day until its time
Sounds rad. Do it again, leave Saturday 6am 🤙🏼
That bike will be loved by that gentlemen for the rest of its life. He was so excited to pick it up for under $5000. You guys rock
When I was a senior in highschool me and two buddies rode our scooters(two zuma 125’s and a zuma 50) about 1,000 miles over spring break through Oregon and wa state. Greatest trip of my life so far

That sounds like it must of been an epic trip.🤙
Way cool brother rode a 78 Yamaha dt175 200mi to see my grandpa once it was really fun
3 years later and I'm still obsessed with this bike.
Seems like a great buy and the price was right!!
Sean: “ do you want it?”
Customer: “ i want it”
Sean: looks at camera 😎
Ok
Ok
Ok
i gotta say, these guys keep proving how much they care about the customer. they told him the bike wasn't ready, and he knew it was a custom build (always other peoples problems) and they got it right and shipped to him for nothing, just because they wanted to do right by him. a lot of shops won't even touch cutom builds, and i think they learned why... lol
First thing I noticed about the guy trying to bump-start it...
He is throwing it into first. This is something you NEVER do.
Bump it in second.... Also as another tip, have it in second and have the clutch held, when you are running it, and then just let go of the clutch.
Its easy as pie - its something I have had to do many times over the years.
I’m with you but I will say the clutch ads drag so if you are quick you can kick it into second and hop your ass in the seat at the same time. You will never get it to start in first period.
I had a bad starter in my beemer for a year before I had it rebuilt. Lol second gear and downhill when ever possible.
That's what I like riding old bikes pans flatheads Knuckles shovels even a shity little iron if it's got a kick start then I ain't got to worry about looking like a dummy when I got to push start it hahaha one time my ex was tweaking and she wanted to steal my bike it was a 72 Shovelhead she went to kick start it but through her over the handlebars hahaha
Why second and not first?
@@Thrillowatt the 2nd gear can turn better with the high compression

That bike shouldn't be sold to anyone who doesn't know what they're doing.
Nobody who knows what they're doing should buy that bike.
Maybe if they _really_ know what they're doing? Like, putting decompression valves on it...

I took my 2006 Klx250 from Texas all around New Mexico, then to Colorado. In November. Doubled up blue jeans and my heaviest coat. Learned what actual gear was later. Rode 21 hours straight. Was pure fun. Ran out of gas 5 times. New Mexico doesn't sell gas. Spent a week in Colorado. Rode home. Reached 14,000 altitude on a bike tuned for 800 - sea level. Good times. Hang lose out there
I looked up the definition of “sketchy” in the dictionary it directed me here...
A friend had a '65 Pan, '49 rigid frame, ape hangers a 6" extended fork. Engine had 80' Flathead bottom end. typically started with one kick. He just kept it properly timed and tuned.
His energy is contagious he's so happy. Good counter offer too that's what I had in my head too knowing nothing about the bike it just seemed right
Edit above and beyond that gesture of delivering the bike undoubtedly gave you more possible customers. I'm never even rode a street motorcycle and I want to buy one if it comes from you. Impressive.
This is so wonderfully wholesome. Love it.

She's got him by the balls for sure but when bills are due, the toys go first.
@@barklordofthesith2997 $3000 is $50 a month on a car payment. If you are in a situation where $50 a month is the difference between getting a new car or not... Plus you have a bike with $10-20k invested in custom work... You are making some really bad financial decisions. However, if that's the case, HE should be the one selling the bike not the wife

Here is a hint, When you pop start a bike like that, do it is 2nd or 3rd gear, that way you are turning motor slower and decreasing your effort.

In 2016 my V-reg on my 2000 ultra classic crapped out in Kansas, heading to Sturgis from South Texas. So I speak from experience. Had to do that a couple times. Had to pull every fuse except computer to save battery. buy a car battery and ride to Nebraska to get the part.. 200 miles out of my way. So I learned quick 2nd gear or 3rd is best.
i tried that with an '83 kawasaki gpz 750 and the bike would not go into 2nd gear. they have this positive neutral finder that makes it impossible to up shift with it standing still. i might could have got it into a higher gear had i had some help pushing but you cannot up shift with it standing still or barely moving.
If any of you were here you would just carry a spare kick-start peg or build yourself an automatic gearbox so you don't have to jumping bump start it.
Couple of thoughts:
1 Next time you're trying to bump-start a bike with a known history of not running for a significant time and/or knows for being a fussy cold-starting bike, spray a generous blast of ether (quick-start) into air intake. Works almost every time.
2 I guess this bobber has an aftermarket engine (Victory? Harmon?) with seriously high compression and/or displacement which demands major CCAs (cold cranking amps) at start-up. If this was MY bike I would run 2 batteries on it, in series. Way more reliability. (Obviously they won't both fit under the seat. I'd find a really cool, creative spot for the 2nd batt.)
Hey you seem to know your stuff so let me ask you. When you jump start the bike do you pop it into 1st gear or 2nd gear?
I don`t always watch your channel videos, but this one`s title made me feel like i needed to watch. I bought a custom little cafe racer made by a friend, with a 2 stroke bicycle motor that was not working. I still felt like the buyer, with the emotion of acquiring the thing i wished for. My bike worked and stopped working again, but i still will put some elbow grease on it, and enjoy the happiness of owning a one of a kind. And watching the video filled me up with hope for this moment to arrive.
Until now, my craziest trip on this bike was going to the bike seller`s home, some wild 22 miles
You guys need a real mechanic in the shop.

You guys give me hope on good motorcycle dealers man. God bless bro
a good salesman will convince you he's trustworthy.
I think these guys are normal people who had enough of dealership’s bullllllshit throughout the years and scroungy/sceevy tactics and opened their own place. The proof is in the customers, if you have great service/great people, you advertise for them anything I’ve personally read that was less than stellar, these guys went above and beyond makin things right. Sad that this is so few and far between these days =(
God? Now I’ve lost all hope.

True biker right there. Anyone who's ever started from dreaming to owning knows this feeling. When something screams to you, it doesnt matter about anything else...you get it. Count change out. Drain savings. Put in overtime. Sell some jewelry what ever it is that gets you your dream. Its soo worth it. I know hell spend probably at least another 500 to 1000 to get the bike starting proper. Its soo worth it for that experience and smile you get.

Why not check if the battery is actually dead with a multimeter?! And why was he trying to push start it in first?! I'm no expert, but these guys seem like they have no idea how to diagnose and fix a problem.
Yea, I was kind of wondering that too. They needed to jump a van to the bike, why don't they have a high amp charger to use to start things?
Multimeter wont tell you if the battery is good. You need to load test it.
Hipsters, should answer all your question as to why did they do that.
@@biaggiwins it will. Discharged batteries have less Volts aswell. Also when it finally runs you can check the alternator if the battery even gets charged.
@@rhythmandmoose a multimeter WILL NOT tell you the condition of battery. You can have a battery that reads 12.5v and be complete junk. Amps are needed to start a vehicle, not volts. $4800 they should have at least changed the starter and gave him a battery. $1800 profit they could’ve spared a couple of parts and labor to make sure a fan and customer made it home safely.
And put a stater on it cause the dumb ass jump started it with a running vehicle and fried the charging system.
WHATS YOURSOC not sure what kind of business model that is but I assure you it’s only used by shady businesses. Anytime you’re spending YOUR MONEY, it should be implied that you get good service with a reasonable expectation that your product is backed by some sort of guarantee that it won’t fail prematurely. Not sure who you’ve been dealing with but you need to protect your dollars. And, if you treat your customers like that shame on you.
@WHATS YOURSOC Dude, stick to one thought for just a second, that was impossible to read. All I can tell is you bought a used bike without checking it's condition, then where surprised to find it had no oil. A knockoff russian car seizing? No shit, they're built terribly. Also lastly, when buying something you do have a reasonable expectation of quality

I spent a lot of years riding a fully chopped 52 panhead hardtail. I dearly loved that bike. I used to ride it all over the country. I was in the service then and they would not let me on base with it because it was chopped. I would drive it to the main gate and park it in a lot they had there and walk to the flightline to work. 3 years in a combat zone and I can not bring my bike on base because "custom bikes are very dangerous". The reality of riding a bike like that is you better know how to work on one because they will break down. The bikes today are so reliable. I put close to 80,000 miles on my sportster with my wife on back, we did not even own a car, and it has never been in a shop. I had to store it because of health reasons. But things are looking up and I am getting both of my bikes out and getting them cleaned up and running. My cruiser is a 1996 vulcan 1500D. Keep up the good work with your channels. God bless.

So you want to know about craziest motorcycle trip?
I went 1.5 hours approx 120 miles round trip on a bike with a bad stator. Jumped it at the Army recruiters office and had to fill up half way home. Had to jump again at the gas station luckily someone had cables. It was cold 35-40 degrees and raining most of the way. Was dark by the time I made it home.
I know its a older video but hopefully you guys read this. I've built many a bike and high compression cars. Yes a good high torque starter helps big time but this is a good fix for this bikes concern. Install a kill switch. That way you can get the engine up to cranking speed before giving it ignition, This way the high compression and ignition fire isn't working against the battery and starter. Cool thing it makes for a real lowed first start.
Learned this the hard and expensive way. But lots of equity and learning while rebuilding
Throw the battery away.
Get a mag and a kicker.
Ride and smile.
Might want to get some new boots to LOL that's a lot of compression to be kicking over everything's probably 13 and 1/2 to 1
This is why guys used to build choppers with smaller powerplants, like the ironhead. Adding power isn't the point...stripping off weight and making it more reliable is supposed to be the point. The point of a kick-only bike is to eliminate the battery, and cutting back the pipes and fenders was to cut weight. That's what makes it quick, adding power adds weight and instability.
Yes yes great perspective
I realise it an older video but this episode was awesome - love the guys enthusiasm for his new bike :-) Hope he is still enjoying the bike 3 years on.
There is different kind of solution for the starting problem…
1) Get a stronger starter motor…
2) change the gearing of the starter mechanism…
3) make it 2 starter motor
And put a Push-Button Compression Release in each cylinder head! Push the button on top of each compression release before you hit the starter, and it will make it easier for the starter to crank the engine and as soon as the engine fires up, the compression releases will immediately pop closed! And it will save your starter too!
I have them on my souped up Harley engine and they’ve been working great for years! Easy install, just drill & tap the hole, screw them in, torque them to spec and you’re done!
Marc Liebhold I was gonna comment the same thing . Why you would build a big inch motor without compression releases is plain stupid. Gonna go through high torque starters every couple months without them. Nothing like over amping your starter and battery...melting wiring... oh the joys of buying someone’s abandoned build.
Exactly, comp. releases were the first thing to cross my mind when he mentioned the jump box and van barely cranked it over. And such a relatively easy thing for a good shop to install.
.Face it dude, you're dealing with a ''REAL BIKER''. Not A suit in leathers an cut. One more thing, there is no way in hell he'll get 80 miles to the tank. I own a 51 pan-shovel , 3 1/2 gal king tank, and I only get 52 miles to the tank.
My most memorable ride was back in 1981 after I got out of the Navy. Had a stock 1977 Triumph Bonneville 750 I rode from Pensacola Fl to Birmingham to St Louis, to Chicago, to Eau Claire Wisconsin and down to Iowa my home. Stayed a few days in all but B'ham and visited friends. Took total of 10 days and maybe $50.
Initially moved to Las Vegas leaving my truck behind in Ohio. Had my 06' Honda vtx loaded with my old navy issue duffle bag of clothes, saddle bags and a backpack attached to the sissy bar. Was an epic ride for me. The first of many trips between Ohio and Vegas, but always remember the sunburns from the first trip... and nearly running out of gas a couple times through Utah.
My key broke off somewhere in new Mexico..... had to drive to south Texas. Half the key was in the ignition switch ..used my multi tool to turn off/on. It was awesome. Still havent fixed it. Highly steabale.
Also easy to steal.
*stealable (soz-couldn't stop myself! Lol)
I'm so happy for this guy it's crazy... I remember when I spotted my dream bike an bought it that day
Every boss I've ever had uttered those same words. Even when he just showed up. "We did it" & my favorite reply was
"Who did it?"
"You got a mouse in your pocket?"
The flat black S&S filter is looking good, could be a super E carb, got 1 on my Sporty1200, never
had a problem with it. If the battery is not fully charged you will not get the current for the
spark. two thumbs up that the guy is really happy with the bike.
That's why I like decompression release levers, Man, so you don't have to work so hard starting the damn thing. My last choppers compression was so high this is what I did and it worked excellent after that.
Road trip from San Diego to the Arctic Ocean on my Yamaha Super Ténéré.
i love that 97 viper gts in the back
Met you at vid summit. Can’t tell you how many times I pop started my dirt bikes!! This was great. Next time use ether !! Much love ❤️
Took my HD VROD Muscle from MN down to Paris, TX. It was crazy and I enjoyed every hour of it 🤘🏻
Whenever I had to bump start a bike I always leapt onto it side saddle to avoid losing momentum.Always had it in second gear at compression part of stroke too.Rarely failed. Of course high handle bars might make side saddle position awkward . Never personally owned a cruiser style machine.
Wow side saddle bold move. I guess if it works then your ok. But if it didn’t work you might be in trouble
In the end...that was super nice of you to deliver.....He'da been stuck out there for sure....and that sux...
When starting a bike by pushing and popping the clutch, remember to put the bike in 2nd gear, not 1st if the bike allows you to do so. It greatly reduces the engine's resistance. Remember to put some Sea Foam or other fuel preservative and run it around to get it good and blended before fall sets in when people tend to ride far less through the winter. Make sure you ride it enough to work the Sea Foam through the whole fuel system and it will greatly reduce issues with the carburetor or fuel injectors.
DUHHHH
@Random-user you’re correct
I just figured most people looking at this video already made that mistake
My bad for the accidental insult
