Billy Lane, Indian Larry, and Jessie James represented the very peak of Chopper building. What they accomplished as a group can of course never be duplicated now that Larry is gone. We shouldn’t morn that this golden age is over but be thankful that it happened at all.
You describe yourself so humbly … as a bike builder. But you are an engineer and an artist. Every aspect of a bike is not a mystery for you. It really is exceptional. Much respect.
Hey Billy, Doc here of Doc’s Old School Choppers. No disrespect to any of our brother builders, but you have always built the most innovative bikes with that classic chopper look. You were the inspiration for the style after which I design and build my bikes. The King of New York is the latest example of a long line of your builds that stimulate new concepts. The hubless scooters are a breed that stands apart. I’m working on two hubless projects now “Black Gold” and “Born in Blood”…both inspired by your legendary builds brother. Say hello to your Sis.

It's difficult to make a custom bike that "stands out" when you only have two wheels to work with. So you changed how the rear wheel looks and works and there you go, now we all recognize you as a master builder.
