Man it’s great to see a new video brother. I start to withdraw without any Billy Lane videos after a little bit. I wish you had someone to help with production so we could see one a week. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for this one. You take care and stay safe.
Billy, I was 16 when I first saw you and Indian Larry on tv and I always admired you guys. short story I become a lighting guy for rock shows aka a roadie and I toured with Motörhead, and I miss lemmy man and if you would of ever met lemmy he would of loved you bro and been proud you wore a Motörhead shirt!
It's been my dream since I first watched the great biker build offs as a kid to build my own chopper. I built my own mini bike a couple years back and it turned out pretty good for having absolutely no clue what I was doing.
When I first started watching Biker Build Off, I couldn't stand Billy. All those people seemed to have egos. Looking back on that show, he seemed to get a kick out of explaining everything like he is giving a lesson. And this channel is more of that. Favorite bike channel now!
Old jammers handbook had a page explaining raking, trail and how to figure how much over the fork needs to be to get the look desired. Bought that parts catalog new . Wish I still had it . Anyone remember jammers handbooks? 70’s I believe
Great Stuff , always great information watching your Videos . Using a D. PEREWITZ video my wife got me for Christmas about a decade back I raked a Stock Springer Softail in my garage using the same type degree finder to kick the Stock Springer out just enough to make it look Cool . Skipped the Front Fender and I added a 240 rear tire Small Tank &Seat and not much else and it looked the nuts ,amazing what a proper Rake can do . Keep up the great education ! Thanks Again
Been a big fan of yours since I first saw you in the build off days, always watch your shows as you are a very good teacher and bad ass builder 👍🏻 love everything you do from parts to complete builds. Shame you haven't got a more in-depth show. But we will take whatever you can give us, bud. Keep it up! Thanks 😊
Hey Billy, when I saw Blue pull onto the screen my heart lept, good to see you still have George's bike. I sent you a kite when you were away, and you gave me some good advice. Glad you are back at it and seem well. This bike was always my favorite of them all, and the only bike I still ride of all my builds is based on her, and your response to my letter. Seeing that psycho cycles sticker blew my mind again, bet you still have question mark rotors from that batch IL made too.
Hell yeah bro looking forward to the work you put out been a fan since the build off days and been following ever since really love the work and love bro
@@BillyLaneChoppers Thanks very much Billy, that means a lot to me. I'm 50yrs old and retired, so I'm excited to whip up some metal creations, Sincerely ⚡👁️⚡.
Good luck with your new education , I’m 68 and took a basic night class when I was 19 and have use my Welding abilities for my Bike and Hot Rod Hobbies over the years. Your never too old to learn a new skill ,especially Welding ! My Best to you Sir .
Good to see old Blue still running and looking good. I prefer the look of the Denver springer over the Paughco, sleeker lines. Looks like this will be a nice build!
I really enjoy your video's. I grew up in NSB and always wanted to meet up with you. I've always appreciated the work you have done, keep it up. One day we cross paths at the old speedway or somewhere.
I always love how you do the big buell style rear brakes. Beautiful pieces of artwork. Hey do you still have that crazy hubless bike? That thing was insane. All your bikes are so sick.
Takes me back to when I first saw your work on biker build off, thank you for showing us your tricks of the trade. Would this be considered a mild stretch and rake or more on the wild side?
Hey billy. Trying to figure out a frame geometry question, which I think I know the answer to but want to confirm. If I want to add 2” of stretch to the down tubes of a frame, but want to maintain the same rake angle of the neck, won’t I still need to add stretch to the top tube as well? So that it just projects the front end out more in the same angle. Been researching this for a little bit but no cold hard answer as there’s a million ways to do this. New to chopping. Thank you!
Billy, how do you determine the height of where the neck goes relative to the backbone and down tubes? Is it just centered between them or do you leave more space at the top or bottom?
Great to see you building and sharing the builds here Billy, Keep it up mate 👍
Love the way he holds his breath when he’s welding, complete concentration😊
Good to see ya still building old school bad ass chops! Love the mix between the vintage racers and bare bone choppers.
Finally! One of the only YT channels that puts out consistent quality videos! Thank you!

Thank you Billy, I love your bikes and you. You are very good at educating us on "how to" build bikes!!!!!

Nobody had more of an ego than that producer who was called “the chopper god” ….discovery went full tard with that
Thanks for coming back around. I like it a lot more here than I did on Discovery
I love showing people the hubless bike and how you showed how it works.
Billy great to see your content so happy to see you out there helping out the biker community. You are an inspiration to others keep the faith brother
Billy, I like how you've used the milling machine clamps on your jig setup! TRUE MACHINIST TRICKS!
Another great video Billy you should do a lot more videos.

Thank you for taking the time to share your craft and talent with us.
Billy Lane is back!! Bad ass, Billy.

That jig is so sick. I don’t need one but I definitely want one. Thank you for sharing your awesome knowledge Billy!

That's awesome news about you having more choppers to build and knowledge to share..
Very happy to see the Choppers Inc logo in action again. I still sport the 44 revolver cylinder oil cap from the day on my ride...
What a cool video. Love the table rig you have set up.
Thank you. The table is a must, it’s actually two milling machine t-slot tables that I welded together years ago
Oh man, wish I could afford to have you build me a custom chopper. Love your work man! Keep these build videos coming
Thank you. Was like sitting on a milk crate in the corner watching a wizard work his magic on steel. Yeah, I'm a gear head geek....keep it coming!

Awesome video. I'm starting welding school at the end of this month, and always wondered what the correct way to rake a frame was, thank you.
Knowing how to weld is one of the things I value most. Good for you, I wish you the kind of success welding has brought me.

Dropping knowledge!
The chopper craze is over, and only the true builders are still building choppers.😊
The posers have left the scene.
.
So true. But I’ve seen the chopper craze come & go four times in 36 years. It ALWAYS comes back
Hell yeah, nice wheelie
That Harley is sweet!!!
I love the bikes bro! I wish I could putta set of rims likes those on my Sikk frame. 🤘😁
I always love how you do the big buell style rear brakes. Beautiful pieces of artwork. Hey do you still have that crazy hubless bike? That thing was insane. All your bikes are so sick.

Pretty sweet
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hello from Boca Raton
4:20 Heheh, I hold my breath too when doing welds :))
Chopper Inc, needs to build a Chopper and raffle it off, that would be way cool 😎
Legends
Would LOVE to see a carbureted M8 chopper
The 45 is sweet!
I like that rake. Mark Tennessee
Takes me back to when I first saw your work on biker build off, thank you for showing us your tricks of the trade. Would this be considered a mild stretch and rake or more on the wild side?
It’s over 45 degrees, I consider that to be a lot. 33-38 degrees rake is in the “mild” zone. Thanks for watching. Great question.
What about the trail measurement, is that not important on springers?
Badass!! 🤘🏻
The top 👍
