best powercall tone ive ever heard were the pa200 conversions of the 80's and 90's....it was done by somehow connecting the hi low tone together to make a powercall warble sound....
Found this video a bit more than a year ago, finally went for the Storm100, which arrived today! I'm only realizing as I opened it, the controller sill needs the other controller to trigger it. Not sure if it's required to use the 4200mini, or if another activator of sorts will do. I see the video was from 2016, which happens to be the same year as the vehicle. THANK YOU for this demo, Great recommendation!
Honestly, if all you want is the Ecto siren for novelty, save the extra $100+ and go with the simpler setup of a Titan all-in-one. Also, I agree some of the tones aren't pure and smooth, but then again there are dozens of siren manufacturers before them that have rights to all the best sounding tones.
I got the StormPro 100 for my KZ1000P and didn't need a wiring harness... I hook it up to my bike just fine. I just needed to make a few wires with bullet connectors to hook the StormPro's triggers up to my bike's siren and yelp switches. It's not rocket science. My criticism is that the cable for the PA system isn't long enough. The Storm Pro, being an amp, is supposed to go in the left saddlebag, which is where the stock Unitron 80k amplifier would be mounted if the bike was still configured as it was when it left the factory. I'm currently working on a circuit to play the first season theme song to CHiPs through the radio rebroadcast on my StormPro. Right now the siren switch is hooked up to Bad Boys but that's not quite appropriate for a KZ1000-P, and CHiPs is exactly what it needs. To be clear, I do not have it set up for sirens. I have it configured to do the air horn when I pull the yelp switch and Bad Boys on Siren switch, that's it. I'm just working on restoring the bike to as close to full code as I can without breaking the law, because I'm a collector. I actually have 3 of these bikes in various conditions. The third one is a basket case parts bike. Also, I use the two working KZs in conventions, security work, parades, and for charity purposes. Everything's above board and legal, and not only do I refuse to set the amp up for siren tones, I also don't dress like a cop, and my lights are amber (not red or blue), and I have the proper permit for the ambers.
a major flaw with the 100watt unit is whenever you plug in or press the button on the Mic, it activates the ecto siren. This makes it impossible to use the built in PA system. every time the button is pressed and released the ecto siren activates 1 cycle. I contacted the manufacturer and got no reply.
You must have received a preproduction unit. All the new Storm Pro 100'w and 200w come with switch for activation. However your very correct that no harmed is included. I agree with you Wail, Yelp, E Q, weak ass power call sucks however the Phaser, Airhorn, and the Ecto is pretty sweet. They really upgraded the Phaser and Air tones
The first unit's came with a switch. The current unit's do not, the were discontinued. This is confirmed through Feniex. Also, we have 30 in stock from last week's shipment and they all don't have any switching.
+Powercall Sirens my mistake I have a first run 200w with switches however all the labels are black and white. I just received my second batch today I opened one up and like you said no switches and the labels are yellow and red as shown in your video. Feniex really did improve the tones on the new 200w. Don't get me wrong there still not great but tolerable. Oh except for the Airhorn the difference is night and day the Airhorn on the Storm Pro 100w was just SAD.
@@jclamparter I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be.....I was having a bad day, and wrongly took it out on you. My apologies. I hope you got this siren and are having fun with it!
Sorry, but I have owned an actual PowerCall siren for over 20 years and that ain't it. The ECTO was good but not the Power Call. Also that wail was horrible and they can put that Q sound back in the box. Hope they fix it down the road. Oh yeah I am down the road from them.
6:03 what you came for.....
Thanks
Bouta get this and put the ecto siren on my e36 😂
I believe the SPVM (Montreal Police Dept) use the Feniex Storm100 in their fleet.

uhh. i went to radio shack today and got a few momentary switches for this siren... :)

Good Job David
Why not sell them with the wiring harness and the switch with the siren?

How do you basically hook just an on off switch to this, without a controller?
how did you limit the wattage?
can these sirens be instaledin a car ? spasificley trying to turn an old 1959 cadillac miller-meteor futura into the Ecto--1
Of course. Driving with it on is another question.
How's your build coming?
Did you ever get to work with Feniex to load the real powercall tone?
You no longer sell this?

They said originally that it was supposed to have songs from the movie, is there a way to add those in?

Each trigger can be changed to any tone?
I need one of these for the 4th of July parade, do you have any in stock?
7:43 that’s not an electronic Q, That’s more like an electronic version of a Whelen mechanical siren
I had a Feniex typhoon, echto tone didn’t have a lot of volume and I think most of the other tones on it totally suck!
Is this still available? If, not what's the serial number so I can find the right one. Please and thank you!
what is the ecto siren used for or why do you like it?
Well.... ;-p

Please tell me where I can buy this masterpiece
Did you not watch the video? Watch the end of the video again, but this time carefully listen to his words.
@@PlatinumEagleStudios No need to be condescending. Thank you for the help though!

get an Adafruit, play your own tones on it, find the sounds in the net for a few bugs
add amp and a pa speaker ... thats it ... not that high prices
Lol other companies get pissy when you make something domestically for a decent price because you aren't inflating the price

"No such thing as an electronic "Q""....that's for sure!
Please show the Ecto Siren of 2016 ghostbusters Movie:D
God not like tiktok
I have to agree, David. That Ecto sound is terrible.
