    very nice and clean install just the right amount of lights no super fast useless flash patterns

      Thank you very much!! We do our best to keep everything effective first, then balance it with "that would be cool" ideas. I also drive quite a bit doing sales calls, etc and every time I approach an emergency vehicle I'll make notice if they are using effective patterns/installations. Things such as keeping a slower flash pattern when the vehicle is stopped, versus faster patterns when the vehicle is in motion, and adding the white flashes for intersection clearing.
      Cheers ~Ben

    7:01 okay that's a little bit overkill don't ya think?

    This is such a great installation! Not cluttered at all. The problem with so many installers these days is too many damn lights! I don't want to be "that guy" but it seems your American Flag is being displayed incorrectly. Union to the left from the observation of the observer. Thanks for the great video!

    • @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442
      @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442  Před 7 lety

      Thanks for the look! Its a 'grey area' with the flag protocol..... we're not using it as a backdrop but rather hanging it as a banner. As banner hung the Flag Code instructs for the Union to be hung toward either the North or East respectively. Here its hung toward the East. But yes, for other uses a flag hung on the wall could be presented appropriately with the Union to the observer's left. This position is used mostly so that if a presenter were in front of it, the Union would be to the right-most in position "having nothing other to the right" as this is the place of prestige giving the flag of our country high respect, and humbling of the presenter. Cheers! ~Ben

      Haha! Excellent! Sorry to be a bother. Seriously though, I see so many vehicle with just too many lights and they look like clown cars. With LED technology I always go for clean but attention getting. This is literally one of the best layouts of e-lights I've ever seen. Keep up the good work!

    I have a question why not use the ghost buster klaxon sound in a real fire and parametic chasre

    I thought the Ecto 1 siren was trademarked. Can they have that on a real emergency vehicle? :/

  • @OnBakePlatinum
    @OnBakePlatinum Před 8 lety

    Wow, great wiring! What are those in the headlights though? Also coulda tied the takedowns in with the high beams and saved a button space.

    • @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442
      @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442  Před 8 lety

      Those are nForce dual color lights from SoundOFF signal! The multi color is very useful. We used controller buttons so the medic could choose exactly WHEN they wanted to turn them on versus the high beams. Cheers ~BN

    What lights did you use in the grill and how did you mount them in the push out spaces

    • @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442
      @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442  Před 7 lety +2

      Those tiny little lights in the grill are Feniex T3 single color lights. VERY bright, effective and VERY cost effective (at the $30 pricepoint) Once the factory knockouts are removed, the T3 light fit right in that space. I used the provided hardware from Feniex because they were black and mounting into the plastic of the grill.
      Cheers! -Ben

      Thank you much! They've been very happy with it, and we're integrating a LOT of those features into their other "runabout" small vehicles. Cheers!~BN

  • @runningscout14

    Why do so many up-fitters keep doing installs on these smaller vehicles that aren't NFPA compliant. NFPA states no flashing white except to the front

    • @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442
      @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442  Před 8 lety +3

      Thanks for your interest in our videos Mike! I can't speak for the other installers out there, but we do the best we can to integrate the NFPA suggestions into our builds. In this example, there is no white lighting direct flashing to the rear. If you're curious about the SoundOFF Intersector lights under the mirrors, they are dual color and are mostly forward facing. NFPA also lets us know that the white flashing lighting should be cut-off and not used while the vehicle is not moving. This vehicle has controls for that as well! Finally, here in Wisconsin, our state law allows for "rescue vehicles" to utilize white flashing lights (even when parked) anywhere around the vehicle. Thank you again for your comments! Cheers ~BN

    nice rig. horrible light bar pattern.

    • @Carterthielftw_
      @Carterthielftw_ Před 4 lety +1

      Although I'm not a huge fan of it, the pattern is effective, faster flash for immediate warning, slower larger flash for farther warning.

  • @highstupid
    @highstupid Před 8 lety

    Is the vehicle integration built into the bar, or were the wires ties into the vehicles light wires?

    • @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442
      @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442  Před 7 lety

      Thanks for the interest Greg!!
      The answer is.... yes... and yes. Haahaha!
      Okay; the lightbar is somewhat computer controlled and programmed via a breakout box. This box has a number of input wires. Those wires can be connected into either switches or vehicle connection inputs. The box can then be told "when purple wire has +12volts, turn on 'flash" or 'when pink wire has +12 volts, its the Left blinker so activate the 'Left blinker feature" ...if that makes sense.
      Cheers! ~Ben

    What is the point of the green lights , did not understand that...

    • @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442
      @lowvoltagesolutionsllc5442  Před 7 lety +1

      Chemical Smart ,Green is meant for command. So the only time green would be on is at a scene and this vehicle would be the command center. Additionally, green has to be the only color on, vehicle in park, and 360 degrees at the highest point.

    • @ve3thw
      @ve3thw Před 7 lety +2

      Same here in Ontario, Canada... Green is for Command... and for Volunteer Firefighters when responding to the Station or direct to the scene.

    Too bad I'm a civilian, I'd jump on the chance to buy an old Cadillac Miller-meteor, Give it a spiffy coat of red paint in choice places, Get that siren, some blue lights, get three friends, and proton pack props, and then go to comic con and steal the show.
