  • I shaved the recipient area since the last video, in hopes that everything will grow back more even - and it definitely did. I'm very happy with the results so far! Today marks (a couple days belated) the 5 month mark since I got an FUE hair transplant at Dr. Cinik Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey on 12/28/2020.

      @@scottbott655 Not a good doc then. I agree that you should get most of your vitamins etc from you diet. But guess what? Some things you can't. How do you think we got bald in the first place? Because of the conversion from Test to DHT. So i understand why people take Finasteride, you want to protect the hair you still got from before. DHT is a powerful and nessesairy hormone, but not for us bald people. FInesteraide however is a nasty drug, you know how many people got depressed from using it? There are many reported suicides. So my advice: Take saw Palmetto, it is from mother nature, blocks DHT also and without severe side effects, there are many good brands out there. I am using it with gelatine and NAC, the rest (like Biotine, Zinc and Selenium) i get from my diet.

    Looks about right for the 5 month mark. You should consider Finasteride because your hair can continue to thin even in the donor area (which is now on the top of your head) I understand fear of side effects if you have them. That stopped me for years plus a few other issues but now I am taking it with no side effects.

      @@VicksHTJourney Wise decision, many people do not know the bad side effects, even if you do not experience them. Consider Saw Palmetto (blocks DHT as well) and Gelatine instead, both are safe and there is hardcore research done to back it up. I take NAC with it as well, Biotine is good also, but that i get from my diet.

    • @VicksHTJourney
      @VicksHTJourney  Před 3 lety +2

      In my case, they couldn’t extract more than 4,550 without it being risky. That amount covered my front and mid scalp, but would not be applied to the crown for the reason of making the front and middle as dense as possible. To address the crown, that would probably take another 2.5k grafts or more - hence why people tend to get a second session. This way, your scalp can heal better and ultimately yield better results (as I understand it).

I've noticed people don't seem to get the crown area worked on, but my requirement is mainly in that area, so can I ask what they said about working this area? The crown was not done because they took 4,550 grafts to cover the hairline, mid scalp, and up to the beginning of the crown. I was told they didn’t want to over harvest in one sitting, and chose to get the front squared away. It makes sense, seeing how bad my hairline and front& middle were looking right before the HT. Good luck with everything!
