For the umpteenth time - I love Stargate BECAUSE they never took themselves so seriously that they didn't have room for a few fan gags. In the released shows, no less. THIS outtake just lays it all out for us to enjoy all over again. Stargate is the greatest among all the "star" scifi shows.

Imagine if the writers had gone all in on the MacGyver connection and put it in O'Neill's service record that for a period of 7 years (1985-1992) he was attached to a top secret government department that sent him on missions where he had to rely on his wits, ingenuity ans intelligence to achieve his goal, essentially the plot of the show.
