Obscure Demoknight TF2 Facts (And Bugs)

- Demoknight TF2 is a buggy disaster, let's talk about it!
It seems every new thing I learn about this class is either a bug or a weird mechanic the game never tells you, so in this video I'm listing a few things that most Demoknight players won't know about. Extending charge duration with the Persian Persuader, the obscure 90% Rule, and a hidden feature which doesn't work as intended!
This was my first attempt at commentary. More will come if you guys end up liking it. I got a bit inspired by some of AsumSaus' content, so if you like Melee (not swords, I mean Smash Bros) then you should probably watch their videos.

There are some rumours going around that swinging and THEN charging can cause the Extender feature to work. If this is true I will talk about it in another video.

Yeah, the audio levels are quite hard to get right. Different voice clips can sometimes be different volumes and the video can sound different depending on what you're watching this video with. It sounded fine on my headset, but the feedback seems to be telling me otherwise.

I was the number 1 ranked degroot keep player with the persuader and huntsman. Its literally been broken forever and me and a buddy would 2v10 with it literally against good players.
I feel really bad. I always loved the weapon but i wasnt very sadisfied about stats.

Name swap, was probably using tournament mode and didn't change named to something other than RED and BLU
I looped over that part several times before I realized red team was called "BLU" and blue team - "RED"

omg is the guy with 6000 hours. I'm looking foward to that amount of hours, but also not. also, yes, it's broken AS FUUUUU- melee register favors agresors, teamates eat melee hits, melee makes sounds but not damage sometimes and is calculated by enviroment hitboxes, not the hit hitboxes, so a scout has same melee hitbox than a heavy. VERY WELL DONE DEEP MECHANICH.
this is serius since the shild made for bashing increases damage the more you charge and you can have extra charge whit this it may allow for super charges where a shild bash insta kills

Is rocket jump a bug or a feature? Both, kind of. It was a bug in Quake, and thus Quake Team Fortress as well. In TF2, it received official status as a feature, becoming one of the core mechanics of soldier.

BRILLIANT!
I actually do something that I didn't even realize would benefit from the extra range on charge swings. I use the tide turner, and in close combat you can swing and then immediately charge, swing comes out after you've already covered some distance from the charge and -doesn't cancel it-, land the hit and swerve away, either running off or rounding back for another minicrit swing. It's a bit hard to land unless the enemy is backpedaling though. Really nice for skullcutter too.

It only makes sense that a sub-class focused on the most jank system in TF2, the melee system, is chocked full of bugs.
When the demo got hit at the start of the charge he didn't move he just stood there screaming because he could of lost his life

@@jefflee4527 Equip a one-handed melee weapon like the pan or the persuader and a shield. Then, hold crouch and tap in any direction repeatedly or just walk, they have different effects. Bonus points if you look up. People will see your left arm vibin like it's its last day on earth.

I can explain it, so it resets the charge when collecting ammo packs, so it would make a separate charge but without the right click hold, it would only go for the length of one charge because there's no further imput.

Great video and I knew something was amidst with the Demoknight.
With 2 heads on Hightower and any shield, you can actually trimp on the ramps of the tower, the stairs leading to the upper part of the sniper nest and the dirt where the cart is going down with the sentry nest.
the holding down button explains alot why I went charging off the cliff on upward, as I hold my right mouse button while using the charge and I never understood how

Can confirm infinite charge tech is OP, can get extended charges on DeGroot Keep with this and have been more consistently topscoring as well.

i knew about the "hold right click to extend charge" mechanic from messing around in instant resupply servers, but never put two-and-two together to realize it would also apply to the Persian Persuader :o

I have personally had encounter the extended pick up charge before, many many times in fact, specifically when in spawn, yet I never realise that it's a bug.
Simply because I've always been the kind who always hold down m2\charge command!

On a few maps ive had a glitch where ive tried to trimp, but ran into the side of a wall thats skinnier than the rest, resulting in infinite charge crits
