Thank you for saying don't push the seal all the way in. I'm on my second seal now. I like how you are using the wider end of your extension and tapping gently. On my previous attempt, I used a 36 mm socket and my hand and pushed in one side too far. I was going by how it was when I took the original one out. It was leaking and I suspect who replaced it before me put it all the way in.

OK I can see that you have put it with the indentations towards the gear box, the lip facing out.

So I just did this job, left it overnight sitting and leaked fluid overnight basically. Would I have to refill the transmission before start of engine?

The torque for the axle nuts is only 120 ft lb? I saw it is 230 ft lb in another video for 2014 CRV.

So I have tried this and had some huge problems. The first was finding the right replacement seal. I am now on my 3rd seal, this one is part number 91205-POX-005. My advice is to go direct to Honda to get the seal as other suppliers don't seem to have a clue. I now have the right seal (I hope). Which way around do you fit it? One side has 6 indentations, the other side has a thin lip. Any help appreciated!

I am having the same problem but 3 dealers gave me the wrong seal. I bought one for the oposite side and it slide onto the axle shaft.

@@stevestanley5183 Try my part number I give above. You need to talk to a dealer, and get them to pull up the diagram on thecomputer screen. Then when you fit it, the smooth side goes on the outside. the bit with the groove goes on the inside.
