You may or may not have noticed that Every Good Boy Deserves Favour is the pneumonic used for everyone that begins to read music. EGBDF are the lines/notes of the musical stave whereas FACE are the notes in between. A fantastic album with soft melodic songs interspersed with heavier rock numbers. This is the beauty of the Moody Blues music when they can mix it all up and with great effect.
It’s hard for me to pick a favorite out of the Core7. They’re all equally fantastic in range, production, creativity & execution. By the way, I’m commenting as I’m listening. So a couple comments are before I heard your observations in this part.
I have always taken the warbling synth noise at the start of the album as 'aliens' coming down to seed the earth with communication. The same noise at the end of the album is them departing as their work has been done. Of course this is only one interpretation!
Try some music by YES one of the greatest progressive rock groups of all time. You haven't reacted to them at all. Some good ones include "Roundabout", "Close to the Edge", "The Gates of Delirium". "Awaken", "Turn of the Century"... Loads of good ones.
Great musicians. Great song writers.

like the instrumentation, the words they sing are very important to the whole song since their lyrics are so deep

This is my personal favourite of their albums but I think Seventh Sojourn was the most popular one.
I have always loved this album! So great! I was 14 when this came out. My brothers had the album and I would listen to it with them! ❤
