Shinn does maybe 5-6 genuinely cool and badass things in the series and at least half of them involve the sword pack to some degree.

The sword impulse to impulse was clean
one correction:
the beam effect parts are actually from the RG Destiny Gundam
the boomerang effects are for the destiny's shoulder boomerang, and the ones for the Excaliburs are the same for the Arondight, just doubled.
It's actually the RG Justice, that one came out first
Who else is hella excited for a blast impulse. The blast has always been my favorite and if Bandai makes it, they got me hostage and I must get it

You can just take the destinys backpack and put it on the impulse.

It's a shame, considering the RG Sword Striker Pack blade is highly detailed.
Can confirm, however this kit is on the shelf and the RG Destiny is in parts in a bag in a box in the attic lmao.

@@pennywise9081 I have it as well (in pieces in the bottom of my parts box), it was my first RG kit. That kit alone almost made me quit building RG models alone, but thankfully right after I was gifted the RG Nu, and that restored my hope for the RG line to be what it is today; mini Master Grade kits.

@@floofiekun1875 same, really don't blame you especially for the more awesome kits like the rg sword impulse the hg mudrock gundam and the upcoming hg pale rider calvary.
Sometimes I wonder if they Bandai can actually profit more with just selling some P-bandai kits as normal kits. Especially the P-bandai kits that are based off of already existing kits like the Astray Amatsu Hana and this one which are mostly recolors with some additional add ons. Sure they can bump up the price a bit compared to their counterparts but it seems like a weird decision.
That red really does look nice. Just got back into Gunpla and watched a ton of your reviews. Ordered the RG Nu Gundam as my next kit. Can’t wait.
Like you said sir, this is a well worth PB kit.
Especially due to its more playable weapon options and combinations it can make with the Force Impulse, I had loads of fun posing these little beasts.
The only down point was the not-so-vigorous Excalibur beam effect parts.

This kit looks crazy good
I'd also like to add that the red in this video is a lot more vibrant than the red in the kit. The kit is more of a brick color, with a slightly darker shade of red as an accent color. Still gorgeous, still my favorite version of the Impulse.
I preordered this kit through a seller on eBay. It’s my first P-Bandai kit and my second RG kit. I’ve been lagging on finishing the build but yes, that red looks amazing irl! Unfortunately broke the tip on one of the white v-antennas on mine (came bent in the box, tried to fix it and that didn’t work), but still really loving the kit.
OMG Finally a review of RG Sword Impulse Gundam...! RG is now my favorite line since RG Unicorn and I wish RG IBO kits in future but right now I am waiting for RG Wing Gundam TV version...!
Or...hear me out....OR...Since this year Bandai is going all out for wings (they just announced to re-issue P-Bandai MG Wings + RG Wing TV), how about just give the RG Fenice Rinascita ????? I don’t like the show but damn that design !
I’m hoping we get a rg gundam epyon soon, it needs some love from Bandai and with the tech for real grade now it should be a pretty epic kit and hopefully not a train wreck like the rg sinanju or, and this is just from what I’ve dealt with, the rg astray red frame.

@@MusicFan752 yes the RG kits since Unicorn was absolutely amazing that RG top my favorite grades (MG) since then... TBH I have so many MG that it even now took the 1/144 shelf dedicated spot (now they started to took in my 3rd block of the shelf) so when I heard that there is a 1/144 scale that looks like a MG is design (RG) I buy those and instantly regret it because of how loosely the joints are and I am about to give up on them... But I said to myself I try one more kit and if its same issue I will totally not buy RG anymore... And when I read that the next RG was the Unicorn... I lost all hopes because I do have the original MG Unicorn and I know how loose it was but still give it a try and what do you know the RG Unicorn was even better than the MG and I kept going for RG until now and not stopping... I am still waiting for my shipment of RG Sword Impulse... But not gonna lie... IDK if the upcoming RG Wing Gundam TV version will be using the old RG frame from old RG Wing so before I will buy one I will watch the review of it to be sure and hoping it is post RG Unicorn frame and if its pre RG Unicorn... I will pass on it even tho Wing was my very first Gundam show back in 2000... I also have the MG Wing Gundam TV series so I am already safe but the RG has better wing design tho...!
Mine just showed up from Buyee yesterday. I'm currently working on the RG Nu but will be starting this right after. Can't wait!
This kit is beautiful, but it even looks better when standing next to the Force Impulse, which is exactly what I did. I actually prefer the Force Impulse's color scheme, but that is just my preference. This is definitely worth the hefty P-Bandai price tag.
This is the first kit I ever ordered from P-bandai. Saw it pop up a few days ago, didn't even think and just bought it. Not gonna arrive for a while, but still very excited

The tail wings of the core splendor drive me crazy. As a separated fighter he didn't unfold the tail wings, but in the 360 he let one of them loose in the backpack form.

MG Sword Impulse is pretty awesome, although I do sort of wish these things came with solid chest versions since having the core flyer can compromise the solidity of a kit, and you want these to be solid as a rock. Yes it's cool you can display it separated, but it's not necessary.
The rg impulse is fine without core flyer

This is crazy, I love the "Excalibur" and the Beam Boomerang
Also the major flaw of both RG Impulse kits are the wrists. The wrist joints are too tight so that when you fit in the manipulators, it indirectly causes one side of the armor piece to be broken in half. To prevent it, sand down that joint on the manipulators (I only knew this after I checked mine RIP .-.)

I built the MG about a month ago (because I gave up on getting this RG at a decent price) and it holds up really well, especially considering it's on the lower end as far as price.
They are taking orders right now for the RG sword impulse now if you were still wanting it. Instead of second hand with a mark up

i don't know for sure, but the beam effect parts might be from the destiny since it has beam boomerangs with sword blades as well as boomerang blades and a gundam seed style physical beam sword.

Effect set for blades can be found with the Rg skygrasper for the strike sword pack and rg destiny, mecha you should know that. You have the Rg perfect strike.

The Sword Impulse + force Silhouette is actually really damn nice, i prefer that to the usual schitck of blue gundam + Red backpack

I bought it and currently building it. Mine also have issue with its forearm joints. It loose unlike force impulse..
The beam effect parts for the Excalibur and boomerang could be from the RG Destiny.
If you got the pg perfect strike- got 2 of them- could you combine the swords like you can with the rg?
My force Impulse has the exact same problem with the loose wrist part. I wonder if one of the machines producing the runners is slightly off true.

I was gonna ask is the white on the armor the same as the force impulse or is it a shade darker? It looks a little bit but it might just be how it's coming out in the video

I admit, I like this version of the Impulse and got it for $52. The Force Silhouette is the only one I don't like because it is just Aile Strike but blue. Waiting for the Blast Impulse RG now.

How in the world do you prevent the wrist armors from cracking despite changing the hands multiple times? My Force Impulse and Sword Impulse have both cracks in both wrist armors just by changing hands couple of times

Get the P-Bandais first because we will never when they get reissued. For this one though, it will get reissued when Bandai decides to produce the RG Blast Impulse.
In my opinion, I'd love to see a complete rework of all the early RG kits, especially those of the Seed lineup. I just built the RG Strike Freedom and nearly cried when I had to use that horrible pre-molded inner frame. If Bandai wants to get my money, they just have to remake the RG Seed kits.
