Some of the wing parts on that runner were injected wrong and come with defective parts
Before opening the bags, watch out for rough surfaces on those parts, and if you were one of the unlucky people to get one of those, go get a refund
never know Bandai can have defective parts (on production wise)

I’m sure they’ll fix it soon so you probably won’t have to worry about it if you’re planning to get one of the reprinted ones few months later
when will they release this kit without the defects? are they gonna have a rerelease?
@@cesruhf2605 As far as I know, Bandai hasn't made any official statements as to when they'll solve the problem, but I'm guessing it will be perfectly fine starting from the second release

It occured to me that Zechs Merquise is basically the Seto Kaiba of Wing. They both fly around in mechanical dragon jets for some reason, they're both obsessed with duelling the protagonist going to lavish extremes just to have that fight, they're both orphans who are protective of yet emotionally distant from their lone younger sibling, and they're probably the best characters in their own respective series. I guess Treize is Pegasus.

The only way that would be perfect if Zechs in Japanese was also voiced by Kaiba's VA, although funny enough Heero IS voiced by Kaiba in Japanese. I guess Kaiba's soul splint between Heero and Zechs lol.
The Master Grade is the Endless Waltz manga redesign.
The Real Grade is a refined version of the Original TV Version design.
If a “VerKa” TV Epyon came out, would it be more or less Katoki than the EW version?

I think detail is the one area the RG line has been nailing it from day 1, even hand granades like the Zeta
rg has always had insane details. i'd even argue nothing rivals the detail level of rg rx78 and mk2. what has improved significantly is build quality. old rg's would disintegrate on a single touch

Mecha, just a couple of notes:
1. The MG is not the show version, it's the Endless Waltz redesign which doesn't appear in Endless Waltz (just like the EW Shenlong doesn't... because it's the Altron). The RG is more TV accurate.
2. You didn't open the wing on the MG. The bottom half pulls down and there are two outer parts that open outwards.
I know you're pressed for time on these things, but when it comes to kits you haven't handled in a while, it's really useful to use Dalong's site, because he has images showing off all the mechanics. I only knew that they somehow opened, but I had to go there to see how, despite having the MG myself as well.
This version’s a perfect blend of the TV and EW versions of the Epyon. It just looks fantastic! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Makes it tougher to decide what RG wing gundam I want to get to go alongside it.
@@wannabkain4400 FWIW the tv version wing gundam is an all-time great build/display piece, and the EW/Katoki version is kinda old and bad imo. I also just don't like the design of the EW version as much, personally, so there may be some bias there
I keep suspecting that they'll have P-Bandai versions for the Ares and White versions...and we could, theoretically, get the Kaiser recolor
The Real Grade is actually much closer to the design of the anime than the Master Grade, as the latter is very much a redesign of the Epyon for the Glory of the Losers manga. This is most apparent in the torso, where the MG makes a lot of detail changes that the anime lineart doesn't have.
I’d have personally liked an orange/red effect coloured replacement for the heat rod as an extra accessory to use in some dynamic poses but otherwise it’s a great kit
I know Wing has had a ton of gunpla representation already, but does this make anyone else want a RG Wing Zero TV version to go along with it?
You know it will happen one way or another. Wing is such a beloved series and always sells especially in the West. It will be announces maybe sometime 2024

@@duncanchiu3659 i agree. Katoki usually could do no wrong but in the case of Wing, he butchered the TV designs. The only right decision he made there was the Altron’s extending arm changed to something more practical but the rest were just unnecessary.
@@zitimotleyxxjmxx yes his altron is slightly better only because it highlights his dragon arms more. I'd even say his deathscythe hell is better than the TV ver. Solely for its coolness factor. But everything else...a rare katoki miss.

That side by side really shows the differences between the MG and RG. As an owner of the MG variant I had second thoughts on getting the RG, but I'm definitely getting one now.

I just finished my Epyon today. I added some details with enamel, and, my goodness, it's gorgeous.
I always felt like the Master Gundam will be an awesome addition to the RG line to accommodate with the RG God Gundam.
i'd spend my entire savings for an rg master gundam and his obviously p bandai horse
An RG Master Gundam would be 50% Master Gundam, the other 50% will be effect parts 🙈

This is my first kit in four years. So far I’m enjoying the build. I did have the navy blue part by the cockpit break off on me though. Super glue was able to fix it and not make it look awkward. I’m not even sure how it broke off to begin with. Other than that, I’m glad I jumped back into the hobby with this kit.
I'm painting this kit now. For all the panel lining on the inner frame I undercoated with white and am using a super bright tamiya orange over it so it has subtle lines in the close up detail that look like lava
I like that the designs between the RG and MG are different enough that it is no set back having both or getting the RG if you already have the MG
What I consider lacking from this gunpla is that the giant curved beam sword to reproduce that one epic slash
just wait 5 years and i’m sure they’ll have one on pbandai for 5000¥ markup
They have the p-bandai MG version with that ultra beam sword
Hot water is your friend to get that effect😊
I've got one of these getting here next week and I can't wait. Zechs is my favorite and I absolutely love all his suits. I hope they put out more rg from Wing, particularly a Heavyarms EW.
also the way the Epyon transforms into its MA mode is similar to the Hambrabi from Zeta Gundam, both having the MS mode legs fold onto the back of the MS's torso.
I almost never fully sticker kit, but I did for this one. Gonna get a second one and paint it and buy water slide decals for it.
For those unaware, MG Epyon is an EW redesign. It's just a bit more subtle than the others.
RG Epyon is a stylized take on the TV ver.
Looks fantastic. Will be adding to my backlog. Hoping you will check out the HG00 Union Flag. The Flag has the potential to be used for Armored Core kitbashing.
I’m glad I watched this video. I was genuinely curious as to how this compared to the Master Grade, and now I see it is much different than I imagined.
Another observation - this is probably the most “muted” decal set I’ve seen in a Real Grade. It kind of makes sense considering the design though

I cannot express with word just how much i waited for this kit. Epyon is one of my favorite gundam and finally to see RG version of it is just feel amazing. Next hoping for RG master gundam.
I grew up on Gundam Wing and the Epyon is my all time favorite. I built mine yesterday and this kit is phenomenal! Bias aside, this is one of the best RG I've built.

I'm currently building my RG Epyon and it's amazing, totally Gundarium tier
About a year ago I built my second MG, the EW Epyon MG. I’m excited to have this in my collection. Ideally, I’d love to have RG versions of the Operarion Meteor Gundams.
Such a nice kit. I've been watching this for like 10 times now because I cant wait to receive my kit.
I have one on the way. Can't wait to build this one.
Just got the 5 from MSGW, HG 1/144. Been a long time since I built kits, and now that Im back, this is my next target.

This RG Epyon is a beast. Awesome articulation, simple parts and accesories make is stand out (simple is better i guess for this) and an awesome reimagining of the TV version. I guess we can now safely differentiate that the RG/HG line will be for the TV ver. Of the gundams/MS and the MG's would be for the more on the detailed design given it was given the hajime kaktoki treatment. One thing to note, DOTA's Jakiro will have a mechanical version cause of this 😍
Saw this kit at the gundam base at NYCC and really wanted to pick it up but it’s so expensive! I ended up finally picking up the hg moon gundam with the long rifle, as well as the luminous crystal unicorn mg
still waiting for mine to come through from hlj, gonna be my third rg im super excited
I dont know if it's fair to compare the MG Epyon to the new RG Epyon. For one, the age difference in the kits. but the biggest difference is that they aren't the same mobile suit... the MG is the Endless Waltz interpretation, not the TV interpretation like the RG. They're both different designs. This is like comparing the old MG EW Wing Ver Ka to the RG TV Wing Gundam..

the way those parts layer together would make custom paint jobs without masking still achieve great color separation and contrast.
I like the overall detail of the RG plus it's 1:144 scale (slight). but I really like the chunky proportion of the MG.
Literally just bought this kit in korea, so excited to build it once i'm back in indonesia
I had no idea this was so different from the MG until seeing them side by side. The RG looks SOOOOO much better!
My only complaint (which will probably be remedied by P-Bandai unfortunately) is no active heat rod, or huge beam saber effect for cutting colonies in half. Other than that, we need an RG Wing Zero to complement it in the future.
Bandai never does weapon effects with the kits themselves. They'll sell effect part sets later... Like with booster, blaster, and explosion effects they've already released
I got the original HG of this gundam many years ago...now I think its a about time to upgrade to this one.

I was surprised by the light piping. That the light can shine through near completely meant I couldn’t justify using the eye or camera stickers for once.
I hope the RG Wing Zero TV ver, will have the same size of the Big Wings and size when Expanded, like on the RG Epyon (TV ver).

I have bought, and broken, two sets of MG Epyon wings because of how fragile the plastic is. I'm looking forward to finally adding the Epyon to my collection with the RG
I'm hoping we'll get a MG of this version of Epyon along with the anime versions of Wing Zero(the Proto Wing Zero doesn't count), and Deathscythe
they just released MG 1/100 GUNDAM EPYON EW (STURM UND DRANG UNIT) in december 2023. Doubt they will released another one

It supposed to be wing but im not complaining it really looks good.
The MG is based on the EW design while the RG is closer to the TV version with some tweaks.
One thing I didn’t like about the MG is the wings. I found them too rounded on the top and didn’t exactly how I imagined gundam Epyon from the anime.

I saw this kit at the recent NY Comic Con, just when I thought I had them all and didn't need a RG. Epyon arrived and I didn't know it was new. RG is really showing up the MG as of late.
Sadly got shorlisted from my order for this one. I don't know why it is hard to get a hold of kits right now especially P-bandai ones.

My only complaint is how easily the V-fin comes off if bumped. However, I think the manual suggested to glue some small pieces onto the build and i just chose not to. So it’s likely my fault for it not being as secure as it was meant to be. In my defense, it was the first gunpla kit i built.
Really wish you could have had a direct comparison with the old 1/144 NG/HGFA Epyon

I can honestly say just from looking at Epyon it looks amazing and now if they would give Wing Zero minus the angel wings for a nice face off like they did quite a few times in the anime.
I remember back in 2000 when they were two different high grades of Gundam models.
There was HG 1/144, and Hag 1/100.
I would be very interested if Bandai ever decides to do real grade kits in 1/100 scale. It would definitely rival Master Grade

Whew boy that green in the chest really catches the eye, it's a beautiful MS with an eye catching color scheme and that green in the chest is truly a chef's kiss. Side note: fingers crossed we get to see that Tallgeese 2 video cause I've never actually seen anybody talk about the goose 2
Kind of hoping a custom builder takes parts from this and integrates it into the Penelope, making a badass dragon looking armor instead of the swan look we currently have
If you could make a video about alternative chemicals/fluids that can remove the excess panel lining marker residue, that would nice
Fun fact:
If you want you can plug the power pack thing on the Epyon arm and have the beam sword in storage mode then if you attach the beam part you can have Epyon with arm mounted beam sword

The stickers comment was spot on! None of my RG has the standard issued sticker, all of them has waterslides. Cause if you really want that "realism" then please add on the waterslides.
The Epyon Master Grade does seem to start falling apart rather easily-I’ve owned two (one being the EW version) and both have struggled with smaller parts falling off easily.
The RG looks more solid. I would love to get ahold of one myself, but 1) I have way too big a backlog at the moment; and 2) I’m broke right now.😂
I know Bandai tried to make it look like a two headed dragon but it does technically have three heads, even if the third in the middle is kind of vestigial. And you know, I keep my eyes out for the hints you promised but having rewatched your videos for the past month and a half it feels like you forget to include them. It's not October 31st yet though so there's still time but, ya know how it goes.
The Epyon does seem cool and that whip would have surprised me had I not known about the shit they pulled with the PGU RX-78-2. It's definitely not for beginners.

The only real criticism I would have is that pre-molded whip part looks like it would be a PITA to custom paint.
Very awesome kit imagine if this is a metal composite fix figuration I hope Bandai will release epyon next for the metal composite if possible the frozen teardrop version or the glory to the losers version I’m hoping very soon
