Isn’t it strange that as long as porn content was mainly controlled by companies which exploit sex workers and show only cis heteronormative sexuality, bigots had no problem with it.
But now that sex workers are free to make their own contents, especially women in straight porn or queer people, it becomes a problem.
They are more disturbed by consensual queer, trans, non straight sex than they are by filmed straight rape.
I'm a trans enby working in a school, openly using they/them pronouns. It's been pretty scary the last few years as anti-trans rhetoric seems to target schools specifically, and I think the only reason it hasn't caused me more issues is because I live in a blue county in a blue state. If the anti-trans policies from project 2025 go into place on a federal level, I'm worried there's only so much my progressive stronghold will be able and willing to do to protect me and other trans employees in the school district. This election literally feels like a matter of life and death for me where if one side wins, I am pretty sure I'll end up arrested just for existing as a trans school employee.
As a queer person working in a school in Vermont, I'm so grateful to be here. Literally a quarter of our staff is queer, and it's such an accepting atmosphere. I don't want that to go away 😭😭😭

@@unscannable420 just worried that they will consider my existence a sex crime if project 2025 comes to pass. I can't exactly stop being trans. Also if all my documents are considered fake because of a different gender marker than my birth it would also end my career.
@@unscannable420 Florida has made it easier to convict trans people and drag performers as pdf files and unalive them officially. It's not as simple as "don't commit any crimes" when your entire existence is criminalized.

I'm a trans parent and this is what scares me the most. If me going my Pom and they/them pronouns counts as teaching gender ideology, and gender ideology is considered pornography, I could have my child taken from me because I'm exposing them to porn. That would be the worst case scenario for me. I would 100% detransition for my kid, but I worry about a fascist government believing in no take-backsies.

Having Conservative Christian parents, I occasionally dip in to see the state of affairs of religion in the US, and the irony is that this ideology is on the downturn. They've been around since the 1950s and I think they see their power dwindling, so now they're getting desperate. The good news is that if Kamala wins we can hopefully outlive a lot of these people since some of them probably only have one or two decades left in them. I just hope the Dems finally realize the folly of sitting on these issues in order to campaign on them rather than taking proactive action. Kamala in particular should be in better position to see this and hopefully will push them to actually do something.
Some of us are disabled! So there will be transgender and nonbinary people who are autistic who might also have ADHD, OCD, or other disablitys and mental illnesses like anxiety and depression who will be suffering. Never mind that a lot of transgender and nonbinary people are already suffering from gender dysphoria and need medical care to help them!
As a genderfluid trans person who is ALSO in Kansas, it makes me sick to see what could become of our country. Vote Blue!

This nation is getting scary. As it is I can't even be a teacher in Texas. Their is hope because many people are tired of the inept Maga people in Texas. People noticed how they run away when Nature budges or when power goes off. Lots of Texans are voting Blue. I will finally see Texas Blue like California before Reagan freaks turned Texas Red. My family can't move, they've built their life here. I don't have a job and I'm aware that my Healthcare, meds, are at risk because I haven't worked in 2 years. But, yeah many people are 🥥💊 and they see hope. We can't go back, we need to move forward! And Mamala knows that Democracy is at risk besides our Healthcare. She is supportive of us, and I know her rhetoric sounds meh when it comes to Palestinians, but remember... She can't do much until she's sworn in office. As Emma Vigland from The Majority Report indicates Kamala Harris brings hope, unlike [Himler Cheeto]. Left is best. 😉✌️

The old censorship paradox. But yeah, allot of people are going to subvert the rules so they can continue to watch their favourite shows. Much like how queer anime is banned in China and yet BL is still the most popular genera. If China and their firewall can't stop people loving gay stuff I don't see how America intends for any ban to have any effect.

Agenda 47 and Project 2025 are technically distinct even though they share a lot of policies. In casual discussion it's usually fine to use them interchangeably though.
I feel like if they end up just banning adult content online that it will just drive people to act out more in public spaces and probably harass women more. Absolute bans on things people naturally engage in, will just transfer somewhere else, under worse conditions.

I wish I could help your relocation fund...I have been out of work for almost two years (permanently laid off due to disability discrimination...and the admins where I worked weren't comfortable with my gender, sexuality, or religion as well except when I made good token moments for them), and am on the verge of maybe getting employed again at the moment...we'll see what happens.
But, when you do relocate, if it is to Washington state, look me up when you get here! I am in Island County, which isn't exactly the cheapest place to live (I pay over $1500/month for the 750 sq. ft. apartment I've lived in now for the last nine years, which was built in the '70s, and it doesn't have a dishwasher or laundry in-unit), but Skagit County, (the next one over) has places that aren't too bad. Seattle and the entire Seattle area's rents are ridiculous, and ten years ago, $60k/yr. was considered the "poverty line" for the area east of Seattle.

I think I know how they would enforce a total ban of that kind: By forcing software vendors to do some kind of client side scanning, i.e. you having an AI on your device that sends the cops your way should you do something they don't like. There was a push by the conservatives in here in the EU to do introduce such a system, also ofc to protect-the-children™
I'm so glad I made my way to Southern California years ago. Yeah it's expensive and it's far from perfect but it's a hell of a lot safer for me and mine than other places!
in project 2025 it clearly states, that blue states that refuse to comply to prosecuting their trans citizens, will be arrested and replaced. so they completely will remove sanctuary states across the country. it’ll be 50 red maga states only if they win. we can’t let them win or this country is gone for good!
