"male or female impersonators" could be used by basically anyone, on anyone, for hair styles, the way someone might talk, or their face, or literally anything. maybe it's copium but i can't see this staying as a law because it can be abused and used against cis people so easily

"Male or female impersonator" being a category in that law would immediately make most highschool theater performances a crime

My grandmother was one of the coolest, kindest people I know. I miss her. When I came out as gender non-conforming, she was totally fine with it. I'm not sure if she understood entirely, but she was sweet and kind, and supportive. I feel like many people "of a certain generation" use this age as a means to duck and weave and justify their own bigotry. But not everyone, as my grandmother shows.

If I had to wager a guess based on personal experience, I imagine that the combination of post-trauma and ADHD has left Xan with a one-two punch that gives him crippling executive dysfunction, anxiety and maybe depression. I imagine he probably avoids his finances and responsibilities because it's too mentally taxing. This is projection on my part, because that's a lot of what I struggle with. I need assistance managing my affairs due to similar issues + many other chronic illness symptoms. That said, if that's what's happening, it doesn't excuse mistreating the friend helping you, or lying about your situation. Mental illness can be disabling. So own up to it. Don't avoid solving the issue, lie and pretend you're "busy", and then abuse people for "failing" you when they try to help.

Yeah, 100%. So far it has been my goal to transition as much as I can without surgeries. I have obstructive sleep apnea, which means I stop breathing when I'm asleep. That puts me at a higher mortality risk if I go under general anesthesia. If I can avoid any surgeries, I will. But if I find that I have to (not want to, have to) have a gender affirming surgery then I will take that risk. I'll be terrified, but I'll do it.

In X Men 3 (arguably one of the worst of the franchise), there is a segment where a cure has been developed for the Mutant gene. Rogue, who cannot physically touche people without draining their life and killing them, wants this"cure". Storm, who can control the weather and ride wind... doesn't think there is anything that needs to be cured. If a means to satisfy the body dysphoria true trans people are saddled with is developed , why oppose that? If it's a matter of pride over wellness, why does your pride come before your wellness?

I agree with the person that talked about the lack of appeal of video essayists. They don't do as well as commentary videos because (like the comment said) they are kind of just in their own heads too much in presentation. To me, they talk very hyperbolically and ponderously that its not really engaging. Some people might even be turned off because its format just tends to be rambly, and a bit dry. Where as commentaries on topics are easier to follow, because it is more direct to something socially current, and just opinions on topics the audience already has a general idea about. They're also broken up better to be concise with more play-by-play style of delivery to a topic. I think Essayists just put more work than they need to into videos for average people and come off as just lectures. Where as there are people who are kind of in-between exist as well like Rebecca Watson who talks like a commentator but presents the information like a shorter, digestible essay on a topic. Maybe if you have essay topics it would appeal more to people if they were shorter, and topical and broken up more without the flaws of essay engagement issues.

TN native here, so many questions I can answer regarding the state specifically addressed here, but the biggest you nailed on the head. Where are the cops? They're part of that LARPing group. Cops in TN not only largely support this kind of stuff, they're deeply into the "bad apples" bucket, they do nothing to help people who need it, harass those who don't, and treat everyone as if they run things. And that's just how they act to WHITE people, so IMAGINE how they treat anyone of color. TN doesn't get nearly enough coverage for how terrible it is.
