    Whenever i train alone i feel more focused, coz its always in our control, i can do any drills, work on areas that i need to improve and by training alone i can really measure the improvement in my game

    I love training alone, playing music on my headphones and just do any drill i want, also you improve so much more than in just team training. And its also more fun!

    I like training alone because I can put my earphones in and listen to music or videos. I can always train longer and harder with the right tunes.

    The fact about me is that, i train with college team very rare, and lone training is my regular practice 😂, hence i am improving a lot!!

    Another great drill alone is to find a wall, mark out a spot (i used to use my coat and a bag, but cones work too) then you pass into that spot hard and firm like you would have to in a game. The ball will come back at you hard and force you to take a good first touch. Do 1 touch - pass over and over again. You'll learn to pass more accurately and improve your first touch. - Make sure you take a touch and pass with whichever foot the ball is naturally moving towards. Don't run an extra mile to make sure the ball is on your dominant foot. Its cringe when people only have 1 foot in a game.
    Similarly- though I don't recommend due to it being a bit dangerous. You can find a road and pass against the curb, the ball will flick up into the air and come back at you. Use your chest to cushion the ball back to the ground and pass again. This one is good because the bounce is unpredictable. In a game passes aren't always going right to your feet, getting used to running to where the ball will be is an important skill.
    Training alone is something very few people do seriously, it will almost always give you a leg up on anyone you play with.

    I played 8 h a day to get my pleasure playing & improving, as legend Dobrin used to play with friends in ghetto for a whole day and commie Angelo Niculescu would not call him up for national team. Real Madrid had him in sight. They understood what football is about!

    Really good advice. Just got back into soccer after not playing for 15 years. All I’ve been doing is going to a field and doing like 1-2 hours of drills alone with headphones in. Pretty enjoyable. Also, there’s a ton of evidence that mental visualization actually has more effectiveness than practicing as well. So your comment on visualizing your role and opponent is underestimated.

      same man, I stopped playing after one of my teammate got his head heavily injured (he is a gk),which made me scared of getting injured. Now I just miss those days when im playing and decided to pick it back again.

      @@Goluremi Totally agree. I played in high school then chose to do division I wrestling in college. I used visualization my entire career for wrestling just to practice moves/technique in my mind. It’s way more efficient and you don’t need another teammate to practice. Any advice on how to continue individual training during winter months when it starts getting alot colder and darker earlier?

    To take this a step further, don't just train alone in a park or big space, also train a lone in small spaces like your living room. This forces you to train certain specific ball control movements, and also, you will feel much less inhibited since there is no one there to watch you. If you go out in public then people might see you and this changes your mindset a bit as you become a little inhibited.
