A highly underrated watch, my wife loves hers and uses it as her everyday watch and its stood up to her abuse for a decade now and still holds +2 sec per day.
What means that +2 sec per day. ??
@@Henry-fc9mz it means it gains only 2 seconds per day which is very good for a mechanical movement.
The more I look at this watch, the less excited I get about my 16610 submariner, but these 2 watches really are like brothers/sisters. EXCELLENT review packed with accurate information
It’s quite astonishing how the solidity that all attribute to Rolex bracelets and clasps nowadays was far from that only 20 years ago
This is what I was saving for until I found that you can get a used Breguet Marine (in black) for around the same price. I still love the 16622 and 116622 though, it'll always have a place in my heart lol.
That was the most beautifully delivered run down of specs, but I was totally distracted by the fact the watch wasn't working.
With the bezel being Platinum, when you are outside in the sun it really sparkles. I love mine because you don't see a lot of them out in public. But if you know Rolex, you know what you are looking at.

I want one of these or these or the explorer 2 black dial. Truly a GMT but I’m not sitting around on a waiting list for that or the submariner and definitely not paying a premium. So I’ll settle for this or the Explorer 2 since they appear to be more attainable

If u know Rolex u will know this is probably the most comfy watch ever!!! I’ve had a few and this and white dial Daytona pre ceramic are the best steel watches Rolex do imo

This or explorer 2 42mm white dial?? Only thing about this model is the bracelet that’s putting me off.
I just found this watch in my passed fathers collection and am curious to know wether it is a fake or not. He did travel to china somewhat frequently. Any recommendations to know if it is real or not? Thanks.
Edit: almost certain it’s a fake. the crown at 6oclock is looks solid not dotted.

Hey Tim, isn't this a 116622? I believe 16622 was only pre-2007.
16622 was made from 1999 to 2012 when replaced by the 116622. The yellow gold and steel 16623 was made from 2005 to 2016.

Oyster is synonymous with the tight clamp of an oyster to what the tight seal of a Rolex case is. Hence "oyster case " as Rolex dubbed it in the 50s........................
