It's kind of good that Ben consistently wins so often over the superpowered hitters like Bar or Ig. It shows that it's better to have solid fundamentals than flash. The hard hitters make as many mistakes as they do points. Ben wins with methodically chosen attacks and superior defense/counters
Every time when I watched Ignatowich's game I was so distracted by his constant moving his tow legs like crazy. So annoying sometimes. :)

Did anybody work out what Ben Johns was reacting to in the crowd? I heard someone say something but I can’t make it out.
I think they just said something like, "Let's go Ben!" He was clearly frustrated with himself by that point, so getting pushed to do better appears to have made his frustration spill over into that response.
Had I been seeing red in that moment (in Ben's shoes,) I might have responded more poorly lol. "What do you think I'm doing?!!"

Ben was complaining about how the new vulcan balls weren’t bouncing high at all.
Then the guy in the crowd yelled “lets go vulcannnn”.
Then ben sarcastically raised his hand like “yeah okay buddy”
I think you meant “let’s go Vulcan”. But ya I went back and listened to it and that sounds accurate.
@@JflipJedi yeah i did haha. Also the reason at the end in the interview when Ben was asked about what the crowd member said, Ben played dumb and basically said he couldn’t remember. That is most likely not true. It’s more likely that pros arent allowed to talk bad about the ball company that sponsors the ppa tour, or they could get fined pretty heavily

James has gotta be the least likable player for me with all those foot taps - and Etta by far the most likable, what a sweetheart I don’t usually root for Ben John’s but I do when he plays with Etta

I grasped so many time during game points in game 1 when Ignatowich missed.
Rough one for Ignatowich. Didn’t watch their other matches, so it might just be rust, but the serve seemed to be the only shot that worked the way he wanted throughout.
Rust? He has consistently shown that this is his level - silver medal and not gold
Ben looks to have the same paddle as Etta but it sounds entirely different.
Wow. That first game was intense and fun to watch. Props to Wright/Johns for 3 straight wins after that.

@@theytlizzy meaning Callie Smith. She is from Utah also.
@@theytlizzy Earlier in the tournament they showed a section of the crowd that had ladies with braids rooting for Callie Smith (a Utah native). The braid is Callie's signature style so he was trying to make the point that those same ladies may also be rooting for Etta who's from Utah as well. It was just poorly worded and didn't really make sense if you didn't see it.

I’m gonna say it right now anything with James I. I just cannot watch It’s just too damn obnoxious. Bro stop hopping like that. Unless you have a disability, you wanna share with the rest of us…stop. It’s unwatchable. I just find myself rooting against him because it’s so annoying.
People will always find something to complain about. Maybe watch his hands instead?
@@parky6031 no I don’t have anything else to complain about about anyone. Everybody else has hands and they’re not moving like this. So yeah, it stands out to me. He’s the only one that does it. Maybe it’s not me…Maybe it’s him? I’m just trying to figure out what the reason is… seems to be a completely inefficient movement. I wonder how much better he would be if he didn’t do it.
