Very interesting video. In Uruguay we are hardly taught about this. But it should be taught, because this is history.
The Armenians of Uruguay are actually in the precise place they belong. I believe this to be true, because of the origins of the Basque people, If you look at the language, it sounds, and looks very much like Armenian, and there are many similar words. There is a legend story about a key family of the Basque people that were Armenian. Even the word Basque comes from Asque, which means nation in Armenian. And is it not that many of the Uruguayens are from the Basque region? And here is another interesting similarity, The original Armenians were called the Urartians, ur meaning people. But I believe this last one was just a coincidence.
