The BEST Naan I have ever made (and probably eaten as well) đ„° fluffy and soft and the perfect chew plus easy to make âșïž need to do more dishes to have an excuse to make more Naan đ
Thank you so much for sharing, Lena! Iâm so very happy it was the best naan youâve made!
Same here. Will be making again. Thanks
Hiiiii
Get a Life
I don't cook or bake really, only basic stuff.
I like Naan, but my wife LOVES IT! So I have to try this, I will probably fail, haha. :)
I make some mean Swedish meatballs though, they would be perfect with some Naan.
Your parents are so cute and supportive! I love when theyâre in videos.
Theyâd love to hear that :) thank you!!
I wholeheartedly agree. They are hilarious and adorable! Hilariously adorable!!!
me too - they are the best.
I like them too, your mom seems like she's a really funny lady!
Yes they are
I've been a vegetarian my whole life and if there's one thing that I have not been able to master, it was the naan. I tried your version yesterday and they were the best naan I have ever made in my entire life!
Not sure which I love more - garlic naan or how loving and supportive your parents are. Kudos all around!
Parents đ
Stop with the vegan stuff people. Just look at vegan eaters they always look tired and sick. You need meat
@@EyeKnowYourRight22 false people on plant based diets are healthier than meat eaters. push your propaganda somewhere else.
@@EyeKnowYourRight22using this recipe to make venison gyros đ
I think they just put vegan on the title of the video to attract vegans đ
But I agree that eating meat is the best đ
I love how she had to hand her parents the storebought naan, but when she uncovered the homemade naan her dad helped himself no hesitationđ
Yea that was funny đ€Ł
I think your parents need a series of their own - Just saying - Love all your recipes..
I was thinking the mom was trying not to steal the show -- and failing at it. She's great.
Absolutely.
I was thinking the same thing! or like tips and tricks from them ;)
Lol. Same. Theyâre super cute and Her Mom is SO PROUD! Love itâ€ïž
Truths!! đ€Łđ. I love how supportive they are even though theyâre in her way itâs cute.
Love this, and just wanted to say how much I appreciate your goal to present vegan food without crossing over into diet-culture. I have a history of disordered eating and I appreciate that you NEVER say or even imply cutting out oil or vegan butter. I just appreciate you and your channel a lot! đ„°
Thank you! I had a lot of diet culture and disordered eating in my life for many years, and honestly, going vegan has really helped repair all that toxic stuff and enabled me to develop the most balanced and healthiest relationship with food I've had since childhood. I am so happy my approach resonates with you!
I hope you girls are using vegan makeup.
I love how your mother made sure that your videographer was included in the sharing of the meal!
I literally LOVE your mom and how much she adores you! So supportive! Such a blessing. â€
Youâre the first vegan channel Iâve come across where I would choose your recipes willingly because theyâre delicious, not just because theyâre healthy.
Iâm so flattered! That is my goal! To show people how truly delicious and satisfying vegan food can be!!
I agree.
Where was this video 2 days ago when I made naan? I literally thought "I wish Rainbow Plant Life had a video recipe for naan" and now here it is. Never too late, because I'll be making those delicious ovals of bliss again.
Lol I wish I couldâve uploaded it sooner. Glad youâll be trying this recipe too!
@@RainbowPlantLife Thanks for your work on this đ
Your amazing at what you do and the Naan recipe is divine, AND your relationship with your parents is so beautiful!!! They are both legends!!! Keep it up, thanks for sharing!
It's a joy to watch you and your family together tasting food. Nothing beats serving your family great home-cooked food : )
This was probably the most wholesome video I've seen all week. I love how open your parents are to plant based cultural foods! I've been trying to veganize my family's recipes to be plant based :)
Aww yay! That makes me happy (and would make my parents happy too). I think itâs so fun and rewarding to veganize family favorites and foods you grew up eating! What are some of your family recipes youâre trying to make plant based?
@@RainbowPlantLife my family is Mongolian and Chinese, so replacing meat with firm tofu has worked really well in things like dumplings, using smoked tofu as a replacement for stir fried meats is also great. One of the hardest things for me is replacing eggs/egg yolks in desserts. Chinese people really like the distinctive taste that eggs give desserts like egg tarts, chiffon cake, mooncake, so that's the challenge I've been trying to tackle the most! Usually, though, most things' flavor doesn't actually depend much on the meat, so replacing with tofu is very easy--the hard part is convincing resistant family members to try it :)
@@FeierLin Yes, Tofu is great đ
I heard many people use kala namak (black salt) to season when they want it to taste like egg. Maybe itâs worth a try. I recently had an egg salad with Tofu and kala namak which tasted very well.
@@Alina_Schmidt kala namak is pretty good for imitating sulfur in eggs for savory dishes, but east Asian chinese egg desserts are more about the creaminess of the yolk. I've been experimenting with using vanilla and barista oat milk to try to imitate it. It's definitely different from what people usually think about eggs.
@@Alina_Schmidt Try Nisha's scrambled tofu recipe (using kala namak), it's amazing!
Your mum is adorable and is an absolute mood đ and your dad is a total dude! More parent content please! Thanks for this recipie, looks SO good!
Haha yes she is a mood! They need their own channel đ

I'm not Indian. I'm Korean-American, but I 100% felt the energy of your parents and I was partially proud/anxious/scared/joyful that your brought them into your vid. Either way, amazing naan and kudos to you for having them on and not getting into a yelling fight haha
Every recipe I've made of yours has more than pleased my family of vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. I know this naan will be a hit!
Indians make the best vegan food. Their recipes are always some kind of awseome.

đ
These are hands down the best thing Iâve made from a CZcams video. The were light and pillowy and tasted better than the ones from my favourite restaurant. I only proved the dough for 40mins because my family were hungry and they still tasted great. You are an absolute genius. When you mix your love for you cooking and science = the perfect dish! Thank you đ
I have been vegetarian for three years now and Iâm thinking about going vegan! Thank you to all the vegan content creators for helping me! I donât want any animal to suffer so thatâs my reasoning!!! đđ„đđ±đ„
Thatâs so amazing youâre thinking of going vegan! So many amazing creators and recipes out there to make the transition doable!
Good for you. I spent seven years as a vegetarian; so proudly saying âNothing with a face! But still guzzling milk, cheese, yoghurt etc! đ
Please try your best itâs so easy x
I've always been a vegetarian, but trying to go vegan too!
Congrats ! You can do it !
The transition can be as easy as you want it to be.
The CARE and attention to detail when you develop your recipe is always apparent Nisha, bravo!
Your mom and dad are SUPER - love all the smiles
Mother's who cheer you on and are so supportive make the world a better place
naan is a gift from your culture, after transitioning to vegan a year ago and this helps ease my way in as such a good alternative to rice ..which i still eat yet naan just adds to the variety cause i eat it with hummus or chic pea stew!!
A beautiful and tasty gift, indeed! and yes, quite versatile too!
I've lost both my parents and this video completely made my day!! Can't wait to make this for my kids tomorrow!
My deepest condolences! Hope you are okay
i know this might be irrelevant and odd to you but watch The Fountain movie. Nothing can replace our loved ones and its my biggest fears losing my parents but just watch this movie i feel like it'll somehow make you feel better. Let me know when you do. xx
@@Nightt666 I will watch it if I can find it. I have lost both of my parents. I was also always super afraid of losing my mom especially, because we were so close. She died on my birthday over a year ago. Of all the most terrible days to lose your mom, this was worse that I could have imagined. I didn't celebrate my first b-day without her and probably never really will again. My husband got me presents but it was just sad. We made it through, but damn. Thanks for the movie recommendation. Maybe it will make me feel better.
@@mygirldarby sorry to hear that. Maybe look at this way she passed away on the day she brought you into this world and it holds a strong meaning and value and maybe thatâs how god wanted it to be because of your true n honest love for her. This movie is a metaphor if you actually see the meaning behind it. Youâll know what I mean. You can prolly get it on CZcams for a couple dollars
@@Nightt666 so sweet of you to offer a movie recommendation!
you have adorable parents, and i love how proud your mom wasđ thank you for this naan recipe, I trust it and you explained why you did everything the way you did which is incredibly helpful to perfect technique
Your mother is amazing she is your biggest fan and just warms my heart. â€
Your parents are so cute. The way you interact with eachother is so wholesome.
Iâm so lucky đ theyâre the sweetest.
Your parents are just lovely! And Iâm so glad I found your channel. I had my gallbladder removed yesterday and have to go plant-based and low-fat so finding your channel has been such a blessing! I stocked to my refrigerator with roasted veggies, roasted gnocchi, hummus, everything sauce, things for wraps and salads⊠thank you!

This naan bread recipe is incredible and yet so easy! My little brother kept asking for seconds âșïž Thank you so much for sharing! đ
I was born in Bangalore India, and the people who knew me as a kid are just going ver excited with joy that Iâve learned and made butter naan from scratch. Itâs just so magnificent to see the expression on peoples faces when they eat the food you made for them. Itâs what truly makes cooking magical for me.
Thank you so much! I made this a few nights ago and it was a HUGE success! I agree you can eat it by itself it's so tasty and the texture is amazing! First time cooking something on a cast iron pan!
Oh my god..I love your parents! Please always have them on to boost my mood! They make me smile the whole time! Thank you for sharing!
Your parents are absolute treasures! This looks so good and I canât wait to try your recipe. đ€©
Your mom canât stop loving on you. Itâs really sweet to see. Great video.
Cutest mom, so proud of her daughter đ„°
I just made your red lentil curry and thought to myself, I need a naan recipe now! So thanks! Your parents seem great and so proud of you. :-)
I came for tips on my favorite cuisine and left with a smile from ear to ear!!!!!! My heart is so warm with love from you all family!
You are blessed that you get to do these activities with your parents. Very blessed. Dont take it for granted.
I made this recipe with my child and we had so much fun! The Naan bread was so delicious!!! This is definitely an added recipe to future dishes.
I made these the other night and they were so delicious and easy to make. I actually let the rest of them cool completely and put them in an airtight container in the fridge. Then the next day I reheated them in a dry skillet on high heat. Still delicious. Used them with hummus and even a roasted mushroom and goat cheese flatbread. Highly recommend!
Grt! Thanks for that tip
Going to have to try to make this. Seeing how loving and proud the parents are put a big smile on my face. đ
Thank you so much! I've been trying to work out why everyone else doesn't have bread dough stuck to their hands on these videos and you're the only one who has explained it!
I'm by no means vegan, but your recipes are fantastic. I love Indian food and it's difficult to find reliable recipes unless you have a local family to talk to for recipes. Your channel provides that at home!
That's great you'll never have to worry about micronutrient deficiencies.

Thank you! My parents will be very happy to hear that :)
garlic butter vegan naan?? thank you for making all of my dreams have come true!
Haha I made this recipe so many times that I started dreaming of naan too đ
I donât know why, but parents always make a video much more entertaining and adorable. I think itâs because they are themselves with no pretenses!!!
your parents are lovely. Brought a smile to my face.
I love your parents!! They have a great sense of humour! I can't wait to try this out myself. My dad was a professional "Indian chef" and he spent years trying to teach me our native foods but I never cared. Now I want to know it all! I hope I can surprise him with a meal now, thank you!

I tried this yesterday and my children love it. Thank you for sharing with us, you beautiful soul.â€
Your timing is perfect, Nisha! I've been making some amazing curries this year since I turned vegan, but haven't made any kind of breads to go with them. This will be great, so I'm saving this recipe to try out very soon. Thank you! (PS. I love your parents. I love how proud of you they are - because they should be!)
Aww thank you! Thatâs so sweet of you to say. And yes, there are so many amazing plant-based curries so Iâm glad youâve been enjoying them. Theyâre only going to get better with some naan!
Your mom needs her own show!!! Sheâs awesome!!
This is by far the best and the most phenomenal naan Iâve ever eaten.
Thanks a lot for this fantastic recipe.
Itâs a keeper.
Omg. I just love the vibes around this video. Your parents are such sweetheart. đ
Your parents are hilarious ! This is the first of your videos I have seen, and I really enjoyed watching it, so I subscribed. I guess your parents are the type that brag to everyone about you and your accomplishments and are so proud of you (quite rightly), and obviously love you very much.
I will watch more of your videos as I have recently retired and now have the time to make individual daily meals, instead of spending an entire Saturday once a month batch cooking enough for 10 servings of each dish, and making about 6 or 7 dishes so I can just come in from work and microwave a couple of meals for me and my hubby who is a truck driver, and would get home at odd hours, so was very appreciative of anything warm and home cooked. However, he is now realising what a fresh home cooked meal is like, and so is his waistline unfortunately.

You made vegan naan seem way less intimidating, thank you!! You guys are all amazing
Iâm thrilled to hear it! It took me several tries before figuring it out, and was hoping all the detailed steps, step by step photos, and video made it straightforward! Glad to hear your feedback!
I've been slowly transitioning to a plant based lifestyle and this channel as helped me and my parents have great tasting food without any meat! Slowly but surely they are converting their ways. And I was just about to look for vegan naan recipes and I'm so glad you came out with this video just in time! Thank you Nisha!
Thatâs so amazing to hear! I am so flattered that my channel is helping you and your parents eat more plant based. Hope all of you will love this naan recipe!
i watched this video to learn to make Naan, instead im crying missing my parents departed. Your parents remind me of mine so much. Thank you for including them, they are precious.
I made this for a dinner of dal and tandoori chicken. The naan came out beautifully. They cook so quickly it's easy to get them on the table when everything's ready. Thank you for this wonderful recipe.
Yay! Iâve been waiting for this. Will definitely be making it this weekend.
Iâm so glad youâre excited to try it, Melanie!
I've just followed your recipe to make my first ever Naan, and I'm really pleased with the result. Your mother was right - much better than shop bought. With hindsight, maybe making a fish curry while rolling and frying the Naan was a bit ambitious. Mine looked dreadful but tasted delish. Naan ARE meant to have big holes in them, yes? đ
I love your parents!! They really added entertainment value to your video. The outtakes were spot on!
Your parents are so sweet and you are beautiful! Thank you for sharing this video!
That touch of some garlic butter at end just takes it to an whole other level and the naan looks super good â€ïž
