Excellent video. Thorough and comprehensive but you did a great job moving it along and keeping it short. Many guys could learn from your editing! Thank you!
This was VERY helpful Short and sweet and to the point. I decided to take on the replacement of my gear as well after many hours of trying to figure out why it wouldn’t start. Thanks again for an awesome video
Look very closely at the water pump, either having a crack itself or a compromised gasket. I think you have discovered the leak, but good to go ahead and finish your inspections anyway.
The Shade Tree Fix-it Man I am thinking the water stains inside the crank case point to the problem...will dye penetrant test a few area’s and see if we have any cracks to be concerned about. This engine has a lot of gasket connections that could also contribute.
@@JunkyardTailgate wondering where you think you might have been getting the water leak? Maybe I missed it in another video. I just bought a mower with this engine that is getting water in the oil and am curious what I need to be looking for. Thanks!
@@JunkyardTailgate have coolant getting into the cylinders could it be a bad head gasket or warped head or need to find another motor? its a x475 with the kaw.25 hp motor
Can't Kill Me good little engine actually. John Deere began using these water cooled Kawasaki engines after Onan engines on the the 317 / 318 models. Thanks for stopping by.

Kaw swall engines r hands down the best. Have a mule 3000 with 4800 hours still going 👍🏼
I just repaired a water in oil for a customer. In my case the water pump shaft and seal were well worn. I hear is quite common on FD620D kawasaki.
I like that bench
I have an oil leak, and wondering if it could have something to do with the water pump?

Great video. I wonder if the fd750d is the the same.
That would really be lucky if it is the water pump leaking in the crank case.
I got fd791d and I’m lost on what I did wrong. I can’t figure out which wires go the temp sensor and two ignition coils. Please help.
I’ve been having the hardest time trying to get the drive converter got any tips on taking it off
Thanks for posting the video. Where did you order the rebuild kit from?
Dan Simons I used EBay. You will need to pay attention to use your serial number when ordering as there may be some differences.
