The next series: regular to deggler. Put one of your employees that dont really lift, on a 3 month program using your supplements.
What a shout! Regular guy, analyse and test him, build a program, build a stack and then execute.
I’d totally jump on this project if I worked there. Always been a dream of mine to work in fitness but it feels like everytime I’ve tried getting a job in the space people only want someone who’s already jacked up on 6 years of daily training.
Won’t happen because then the focus would be on someone other than Nick Bare. He’s a narcissist surrounded by beta yes-men so it ain’t gonna work
@@jms0313bro how do you even know that lol? Also do you think he would be this far if he was just surrounded by “yes men?” Just asking.
Has he done one video about something other than him?
I used to be a heavy lifter at about 205 lbs when I was in my 20's. Now at 50, I am still lifting but not heavy because I run a lot. I can still bench press my own body weight 15 times at 165 and I am alright with that. Keeping bone density and still having more than average strength for a runner is the most important thing for me. Our focus can shift and mine did with age as well as overall joint health. Keep up the great content, you have a great perspective on things and I enjoy your humbleness.
Very smart and commendable approach sir
I aspire to be you when I’m 50! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Your biggest mistake was running. You shortened your lifespan by years
@@jms0313 Oh I have done more than that to shorten my lifespan!
I'm same way. 49. Used to lift heavy and bulked. I'm sitting at around 265 11% now.. although I'm 6'6 and with certain genetics that lean towards being muscular and lean. Even with avg 3-5mile per day runs.
When you ran a 5 minute mile I was amazed and inspired at the same time. It’s nice to see someone that can virtually do it all without looking like an endurance or strength athlete only.
This was super helpful nick! Thank you so much. I’m currently out in Simi valley in recovery on day 25 just getting my bearings back with my morning runs and my strength training. I always knew I was in a good streak from addiction every morning I’d put you on my phone and stream you to my tv while making my morning coffee before runs. Be with you for years. Especially now, im going to be coming back home to my girl and we’re expecting a baby girl we just found out yesterday. So every video right now seems to be tailored to me. Thanks for all inspiration and guidance along the way.
16:00 "It never gets old." I am right there with you man, I LOVE bulking and eating!! I love the process. This series is perfect because I just started for the exact same goal- the Hybrid Build!
This man is just living the most actualized life possible. When I set up my gym with my brother it is going to be very similar to this. I can’t wait.
YEA i mean he's probably cycling a lot of stuff...no way he can have that level of muscle recovery naturally to excel and perform and be lean on top of so many other things.
@@killakev9589 exactly bro. He at least should be honest about his use but probably won’t since it’ll be bad for his reputation.
@@killakev9589 I believe it is possible without gear
@@NusquamTamenVerumYou are wrong. The guy is juiced off his tree.
@@killakev9589it is possible without gear, stop making excuses. Try it for yourself and fuel yourself properly
One of your guys best videos this years. Editing was amazing, different cool events in one videos, and very informative👍 let’s go one more!
Priority in what youre training for is really where it comes down to like you said. When I trained for my first half marathon I stopped squatting completely and focused more on machine work/my running workouts becauwe that is what was priority. Thanks for all you do man.
Nick , you are an absolute role model. Your videos fuel all my workouts . You have got me in to training endurance events . Just want to say thank you for everything. You really are an inspiring person with unbelievable work rate. Keep it going man 💪
I’ve been running the build program on playbook, loving it man! Already seeing huge strength increases!
Dude outside of how motivated these videos make me, the thing I want to most to work in a place like that… that work environment looks absolutely amazing…
Thank you for your tips, it helps a lot. I’m a long distance runner, I’ve been running every single day since the 1st of march 2016 ( 6 years, 8 months and 24 days today !) and since 2-3 months I’m also focusing on building muscles seriously, and it works!! Im stronger and even faster than before. Thank you for showing people that YOU CAN build muscles and being a runner, and thank you for the good informations !
Wow that's amazing! What do you do for a stretching regimen?
Sally is awesome! Her laugh is infectious. I think I was watching an ultra documentary and she was in it, of course. Great content 🎉
Working at BPN is straight up my dream job. Working out with people as passionate about health and fitness. Supporting and uplifting one another, eating and laughing. Yup. Dream job.
I can totally resonate with prioritizing training based on goal. Pre-marathon i was squating 275 as a working set, but during training, I was only doing 155 as a working set.
I was so excited to see Sally! Love her!
The content we love to see at work
Love the music mix at the end!!!! Makes me want to Go One More!!
Love these types of episodes!
These videos definitely have great info to learn from and I'm always looking to learn to improve! I been doing this same build training essentially. Just because I dont want to be just a muscle bound meat head! I enjoy having the endurance cardio just as much too. The balance is tricky
Doing my own hybrid build coming off a layoff and just coming to your channel. I am 3 months in.
I lift and do Brazilian jiujitsu and some other martial arts. I am starting to add in a little more running I get 3x full-body lifts averaging 30-36 sets each and 3-5 BJJ classes and one run a week (currently only a 5k).
I am 5'10", 176 lb and about 12% body fat (per calipers).
Oh, and 50 years old.
I am retired military, so I've always been in some degree of shape, but I decided upon hitting 50 that I was going to build back better than ever.
Once again thanks for the information here Nick and team - good to bring this into my own style of training
Nothing sweeter than the sound of the classic standard oly plates clanging together.
I’ve been subscribed before and it seems CZcams had a different plan. Glad to see your content again on my feed
Love the ice dip!!! I just broke 40 degrees for the first time yesterday! Great video, as usual!!!
Listened to podcast #155 today and I heard what I needed to hear. Ran my first half marathon yesterday, and been contemplating running a full marathon. And for I looked at the date of the marathon I’ve been wanting to run, and I checked your marathon prep schedule on the app. Both 16 weeks. Time to take action!
You won't regret running a marathon. I loved the experience.
Wilmington NC marathon. Look it up. Hopefully I see you there.
Respect the Build! Loved that quote
Wow. Sally McRae just spoke to my soul!🙏❤️🙌
Cool. I’m about to go on my morning run and I have legs today. I haven’t done legs in a long long time and i finally decided I should do legs last week so it’s cool that I chose to watch this video this morning. Thank you
You absolutely need to drop this tee!!!!!
these eps are class bro
Such an amazing video of revelations! I love the honesty in this one. Great stuff man. Question... have you ever tried Next Level Diet? I got a muscle-building meal plan from them, and I love it.
TREN hard
If you guys wanna learn about the recovery-Soreness-training info recommend checking out the Andy gaplin and huberman podcast. Nick touched up on it begining of the vid but soreness is not a good measuring factor but it depends on what your trying to do
I’m almost 100% sure Nick is prepping for his first bodybuilding show!!! It’s all adding up.
The Prophet e dot :D if you really didn’t know before you had a good nose as we would say in germany😊
It's a little easier for someone in their 20s and 30s, but I'm in my 50s and I feel it more in my hips when Iift heavy and run alot. Need a week break every now and then to relieve the stress
Just listened during my warmup stretch and just before my 10mi long run, I get “You are stronger than you think you are” from Sally. LET’S GOOOOOOO!
Great vids! I used to be powerlifter and sort of power bodybuilder, started when I was 13 years, body weight 52kg, bb 20kg, deadlift sub 70 (😁), after seven hard hard months I got 110kg bench and 190kg deadlift @8079kg . After next+19 years I gone to 200kg raw bench and "easy" 300kg deadlift (was about to take pr, one rep max but did two and that was weirdly light). I wasnt fat*****, sub 10% BF @110KG but my general health wasnt good. My Stamina endurance and aerobic base wasnt good enough to run 400m .
Two years ago I decided to hunt my younghood track and field Records and run as much as possible. First year was tuff and my body weight just gone higher and higher (to 135kg) and I was able to run 10% of planned miles, had LOTS of pain and generally horrible mood. I have always known how horrible stuff dairy products and especially meat is and seen how scientific facts are 👍👍(surprise!?) but decided again and again to test "one more normal healthy diet" before testing vegan only. Finally I decided I am vegan as long as I see how I will be the very first athlete without getting edge but after 110 months I dont even think about eating those cancer catabolic meats and fish etc bs. I feel like I ld be 19yo again beside I recover much much faster and basically I can do multiple times more cardio strongman events Crossfit and much more, I dont need+7h sleep or coffeine or anything and whats even better, my blood tests look great finally. My testosterone and thyroid levels were always low, vegetable+other cheaty stuff makes those to be on normal level and above 👍👍 its weird how we have some coaches on high level (maybe the reason why our commie Finnish athletes are so bad)claims mixed diet, maybe even high meat and dairy junk eating to be "ok" or sometimes even "good" 😮😮😮 healthy meat is as legit as peaceful and loving putler (putin) . Almost like slavery party aka kkk party demoncratic party standing for minorities and being nice+tolerate 🧐😁 . Ps; I dont endorse Trump but If he would Be racist and not being great for black people and more, he. wouldnt be republican, republicans were so nasty after civil war because democrats couldnt continue keeoing their economies standing on good old dnc cotton fields anymore. Little bit later nasty GOP tried to oppose KKK party (every third in the house were member of the clan) . Hopefully they won't start their third r***** based on woke racism and neo apartheid 😅
We need to see a compilation of Nick experiencing pure bliss when taking the first bite of his food.
Nick, this series has been great series. Thank you. I’m in a position where I’m in a shot plus lifting and loving it but would also like to drop my times to ace my service’s PFT/CFT. Any thoughts as to what you would suggest for runs to drop 3 mile and 1/2 mile times while staying in the gym? Thanks.
the song at the end is called: And Th3 Music Was Loud
Great to see Sally make a cameo
That Friday afternoon lift 🤩
Love the content in this video. One of my major issues is trying to build muscle while playing a sport (hockey). Once I start progressing building muscle I notice I’m having less mobility and notice some slacking in my games. Any way to structure my workouts/sports/nutrition in order to minimize the interference of the muscle build?
The ice bath and sauna are awesome
Is that t shirt you wore in training “if it matters you’ll make time” unreleased?! I want to purchase one for myself, I like that quote.
Do you have a mobility routine that you do to stay flexible and reduce injuries?
I'm hyping the end of that video for sure. Rock on!
Must know what that song is at the end! Awesome video
Man got a new job where i walk and lift heavy. its hard to keep up with the food i need. i feel like the only thing i do is eat when i can. my performance is still diminishing.
this video keeps me motivated though, if ones body can adopt to ultra marathons mine can do heavy work and training. Long road to go where i will lose alot of muscle before i can gain strength again
Nick would you mind going over how you setup your caloric intakes / macro requirements?
It’s called Drugs
Growth isn't by chance, it's by choice!!
I would give anything to be on this team... Great Video Nick, Uly & Jordan!
Beta male vibe
@@jms0313 bro who even used beta or alpha? What are we? In twilight and we a pack of wolves? Goofy ah. I do agree he sounds corny as hell lol. Bare is obviously on gear but I respect his grinding mindset.
@Xl Xl facts. You have to respect the grind.
I see guys on grams of gear and still look like out of shape unhealthy red faced clowns.
I think I heard on the Hubberman podcast that cold plunges right after lifting/running workouts aren't an optimal training method (vs doing it later in the day or hours before the workout).
Sally is the best 👏🏼
Is the shirt that Nick wore at the start still on sale? That is my first time seeing it and its sweet.
They HYBRID build! Sheeeessshhh
I been lifting legs 3x a week and that’s been good. I was walking multiple times a day along with that. Couple weeks ago added in interval sprints couple times a week and now my knees and low back hurt when I do legs. I guess I just ran to much to quickly so hopefully I get past it
Nick what is the brand /model number for your Hack Squat Machine? looking to add to my home gym.
What is your rest time between sets of BB squats?
Hey Nick, who is the poor guy running with you filming in the same time? That's a true hero!
they use electronic skateboards
@@drewheidl3727 haha! I didn't think of this at all!
No isolated core workouts during hybrid build?! I see on the app you haven’t don’t leg raises or any an/core workout like you typically did in the past. Any reason why?
BrotherBare, if training in the evening and into the nights
what does your morning routine look like ?
What the song title for the last section ? Solid man
Will you be at the Arnold expo?
I strive to balance running, lifting and boxing. What is all that strength if you cant run? What is all that speed and strength if you cant fight? So keep up all of it.
lmao spot layne's painted fingernails. love that guy.
may I ask how old are you? It's amazing to see such a big guy who can finish marathon in 2:50.
does anyone can tell me the point of exhausting your quads before squats vs starting with the squats the moving to an isolation exercise? thanks
You teach us how to diet when you are already in shape and that’s good but what about those that are not in shape and don’t know where to begin?🤷🏻♂️ any advise?
Where can I get that shirt at the beginning of the video? 🔥
The best part of Nick Bare's videos is that no one on his team wears an Apple watch. They are professionals :)
Hi, i also gym and training for first marathon. Do you feel that lifting heavy on legs and running is actually a good thing because it will be difficult to run but your body will adapt to that and then when you get close to the marathon you cut legs training drastically and then you will be running with fresh legs and it will be easier. Do you feel that is a good strategy or am I completely wrong?
Greetings from 🇩🇪
Love your content. sometimes Im going good on the hybrid programs and I just a 3-4 day slippery slope..Whats your best way to bounce back?
Just gotta find the discipline to stick to it. It is hard, I’ve fallen off a bunch in previous years, take the first step wether it’s putting on the shoes for a run or taking the preworkout…the rest usually falls into place.
I love the ‘never miss twice’ thought process, like if you have to miss a day it’s no big deal, but you promis yourself you won’t miss two days in a row! Then when you get back at it you can keep your habit strong! Works for me, might be worth a shot! Cheers :)
This was a great video. Also makes me want a crop top lol
How many times can I run in a week while still prioritizing lifting and muscle mass?
How do I get that t shirt? It's not on nick's site.
So do you run and train everyday?
I was wondering how do you have the time? Currently working 10 hours a day in a production environment. I only have time to do one workout per day. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips. I have been doing the build program, but keep hitting a wall.
What brand/model of ice bath do you have?
Was that "Hangin' Tough", by NKOTB?
how do you deal with loads on your knees?
I train in Chucks too!!!
So many new faces at HQ!
Put the safety bars up when you squat!!! I know you know what you're doing. It's clear you are an absolute professional at what you do. However I do know that I tend to push a weeeee bit harder knowing I'm absolutely protected. Nothing worse than having to bail on a heavy heavy squat.
How to you keep your abs shed during the bulk
OUTRO MUSIC: "WHAT IS THIS MELODY?!?"
Hey Nick, I’m learning how to use a Garmin. I’m wondering about that recovery metric - it doesn’t seem to care about lifting sessions. I’ve been working on lifting, running, swimming and how to balance. How do you plan on you recovery? Especially before a race*
Hey Jason! My two cents… the recovery time is based on your HR during the workout, so stuff like running will give more consistently high recovery windows… I’ve seen others be successful by using a chest HR monitor during gym sessions so the watch gets a better sense of your real HR changes during the workout!
Cheers!
@@JadenFeddock Thanks for the tip!
That makes great sense.
People say he is on gear have zero clue the impact years of a healthy diet running can have on your ability to lift volume and recover effectively.
Anyone know the name of the remix at the end ?
7:41 per mile after a heavy leg day is insane. Even if it was after a rest day that’s a great pace
What is the song at the end?
Hey Folks, does anyone know the song dropping in in 9:25?
This is what natural w/ good genes that I guess is running a mile under 6min looks like. Respect
Plus Testosterone
Can we still purchase that shirt?
We gotta see another Strongman (Brian Shaw) full day of eating challenge!
My question is can i run 30 minutes everyday while lifting heavy without losing muscle will i? I thought no but its getting merky but i dont know ?
Idaho instant potatoes are the jam.
Cold plunging in within 4 hours of your workout helps recovery but hurts your gains
