- When Andy Warhol created his artwork "Double Elvis" in 1963 he most likely didn't know (or expect) it to become true just about a year later. For this (shall we call it "postmodern"?) attempt to satisfy the fans by giving them "double Elvis" in ONE movie Elvis' notorious manager Tom Parker actually demanded two times the salary for his client. Well, somehow it's only logical. ;) Elvis appears in the two roles that describe his career up to that point: The Hillbilly he started out as and the handsome soldier (and cultivated animal of the 1950ies) as which he returned from Germany. Although it's regarded as one of Elvis' worst movie it's actually pretty funny. And it has Yvonne Craig in it, hot damn...!

If you look closely at a part where there are 2 Elvis' on screen, such as 3:18, you can see where the editors cut and taped the two shots together. It's a vague, almost yellow strip running vertically down the middle of the shot.

I once read that for this movie, Elvis chose not to dye his hair when he plays his "hill billy" cousin - who is blonde. Elvis, his hair was naturally blonde. He chose to dye it black because he thought all the "cool" actors were brunette - from Humphrey Bogart and Clark Gable to Robert Mitchum - that black hair looked better on film. And the director probably promoted this decision, because the dominant culture perceives "blondes to be not as smart as brunettes", also it was important to emphasize that the US Army guy was more "book smart" than his "hill billy" counterpart, to make the US Government people happy.
Elvis' natural hair color was light brown, not blonde. He stopped being blonde at 10 years old. The blonde character in this movie is Elvis in a wig, that was not his natural hair color. Look up color photos of Elvis getting out of the army, that was his natural hair color, light brown.

Poor Elvis. He could have been such a great actor. We saw flashes of it. All the great parts he lost due to shit Colonel. Westside Story, thunder road. The Defiant Ones- role went to Tony Curtis. Babs Streisand wanted him for her remake of A star is Born as Norman Mane. The movie sucks today but had Presley played it, he would have gotten some much needed excitement in his life and not let himself go and get sick leading to his heartattack...

@jsteelman1000 Making a "double" of someone in film is a fairly simple technique: you take separate footage of a person on the left and right side of the camera lens and "paste" the two sides together during editing. In this case, Elvis was filmed on the left side at a prior date to the right. It's not a convenient technique to use for long periods of time because A. the camera must be perfectly still, B. the lighting must be the same, and C. the camera plane/actor/etc. are all severely limited.

If I think it is natural to Elvis Presley especially the great pop music that he produced all the splendor guy by an abundant amount of drugs was not very old. That he is Yvonne Craig, a handsome young lady, knew so well and in 1964 in ´ Kissing Cousins ´ acted with her, while in 1966 for Batgirl played, and even put down a double role would almost not noticeable.
Yvonne nevertheless looked delicious with her jeans in overall shape and when she stood on a pit and put her beautiful bottom was bent down tight in her pants! However, I had found it more beautifully as Presley once Yvonne over the knee took a lot for her to give her pants and her friend Cynthia Pepper as well since they also had a nice jeans to! A serving of spanking had both young ladies fixed no harm done if they were taken with Elvis on the right shoulder when he played double role in that forest are!
