This movie make you smile, and laugh. Rock and Doris were so great together. Two of the greatest in Hollywood. I never get tired of watching them together. Rock, Doris and Tony. They just do not make these great classics anymore. Rock and Doris should of both received Academy awards for all their great films.
Doris Day did get a Oscar Nomination for this movie and wished she had earned her Oscar since she is a fabulous actress and can sing and dance too. Also, Thelma Ritter got another Oscar Nomination and had a party with friends, who would have these parties and "watch her lose." She was always one of my favorite character actresses that add more interest to the movies all the time.
I don't care what....Rock didn't fake those kisses to Doris ..." The eyes don't lie ...he loved her ..as a woman ..I could see this as a little girl watching these re runs thanks so much for posting this Great movie !!!!!!!!awesome editing

Oh my gosh!!!!! Rock .....was so wonderful . don't care what was said about him ...still love him he was such a beautiful Man!!! Love love love Doris ALSO....all in this movie great..... so romantic.. beautiful clothes . apartment 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 hilarious
One of the funniest movies ever made! Doris Day was such a beautiful woman. Rock Hudson was so handsome. Thelma Ritter was perfect in her role. Tony Randall played his character to the hilt! Just a good movie from start to finish.
Doris day was of german origin.both sets of grandparents were german.she grew up in cincinatti in the us,which had a huge german population, had their own churches etc.hugely popular film.take care
,Thank you so much for this upload. This was one of Me & my Mana's favorite movies to watch when I'd go back home to visit her for a couple of weeks every year. . I just love Rock Hudson.& Doris Day movies. They had a chemistry all their own. They just don't make movies like this anymore.
I have always loved this movie! I believe I first saw it on tv when I was home from school in the 4th grade due to having the mumps. I have it on VHS & have watched it at least 100 times. Doris Day was my idol from way back when I was a young child. Thanks so much for posting this classic!
Jack, thank you for posting this. I've seen this movie about 5 times. It never gets old. Their chemistry and obvious affection for each other is a joy to watch.
Thank you so much. I have been wanting to see some Doris Day and Rock Hudson movies and saw this. You made it so wonderful and brought back a lot of memories.
As a fan (generally) of mid century design I love the lamp at 12:55 in her apartment lobby and the painting she brings to Jonathan’s office at 16:12. Both very cool and modern. Though I will admit: mid century can be overdone. A little of it goes a long way.
Isn't it "IRONIC" how Brad Allen was telling Jan about how some men are close to their mothers, and basically a little "LIGHT IN THE LOAFERS." I was thinking - "Yeah, you'd know Rock!"
Also he lifted his little finger when drinking from his glass, and Doris stared. And asked Doris about fabrics. It was a very, very inside joke, Rock's character being a hater. But really not funny at all, when you consider...
@@akrenwinkle Yeah, NOT FUNNY!!!! Did you know that when Doris Day was interviewed after Rock's passing, she actually said SHE DID NOT KNOW HE WAS GAY?!!! Oh PLEASE!!!!
@@libertygiveme1987 Very true and not funny. I posted that on other boards, Doris claiming she didn't know, but Carol Burnett- a real friend- said she knew and didn't care.
This is my first time enjoying your CZcams channel. Great content! Looking forward to hearing more from you! Your video was so informative. Thank you so much!
Doris Day lived 33.6 years longer than Rock Hudson. You never know when your time is up. Looking at the movie you would think they would live a similar time.
DON'T TEASE!!!!!!!!! Now, I'm going to have to pull out my VHS tape! I have just about every movie she made. Just got through watching Leave It to Jane.

GRANDES DE LAS COMEDIAS BRILLANTES ❤
I just love this movie. And the clothes Doris Day wears are exquisite.
Sharp! Simply beautiful! And that hair!
The best!
Especially the all white outfit; stunning!
She was impeccably styled.
@jackie - I know, right?! I JUST LOVE THE JEWLERY TOO!!!!
One of my favorite movies and Doris she was the best.
Bring back these oldies. Better than the new ones. LOVE DORIS DAY❤ MIDNIGHT LACE A GREAT. MOVIE.
Doris Day and Rock Hudson are so wonderful together on screen.
Thelma Ritter is flawless.
She seems like a feisty firecracker.
Thelma was great in everything.
The lush Alma, perfect performance
The fashion, the chemistry between the actors, the story line and the music and more will draw you into this movie.
Her total joy in his company shines through. They must have had great fun making this film together - great friends off-screen too, as we all know.
Their chemistry is on another level.

I too love this film but I do get tired of explaining to the young generations exactly what a "party line" was. 😂
Her clothes and jewels are to die for.

Rock called his wife "bunting". It a baseball term. When you're up against the wall and you don't know what to do, you bunt. 😅
He didn't date women
@@ForeverHisforever Depends what "date" means. He did many things for publicity. Not much different now.
Rock Hudson also had a great voice.
Both of them multi-talented super stars!

Absolutely! They tried to recreate the chemistry in two later films.
I saw this at the drive in movie with my family when I was a little girl. Nice memory.
