- Pitt picked up the 24-16 victory on the North Shore over Boston College. Nate Yarnell got the start at QB for the Panthers and went 11-19 with a touchdown and 207 passing yards in the win, but RB Rodney Hammond, Jr. was the key cog in the Panthers’ offense. He had 15 carries for 145 yards including a late 66-yard scamper to the end zone that all but sealed the deal. BC RB Kye Robichaux had a strong day for the Eagles, grabbing 118 yards on 24 carries.

Honestly that 3-8 is fairly deceptive for Pitt. They looked pretty decent this game and not to mention they held fsu to 24 points this year. They should've been playing like that all year.

My Takeaway from Boston College and their season is that they play (like many other teams) "at the level that they practice" As I have said in other posts, Boston College overlooks and discounts the many fine players in New England in favor of the 3,4 and 5 star players in other parts of the country. They spend time and money chasing athletes that turn out to be average.. maybe even below average performers... when the time and money could be better spent drawing in athletes regionally and practicing them harder. Letting these local athletes develop an understanding of each other. They then will seek to find time to practice informally together...that is in my opinion how you build a championship team. They find time to practice together out of season and in the early summer months, over holidays and week long breaks....Dabo did this with Clemson but Dabo now has other problems that has sunk his program... BC has several of the same problems but I believe that recruiting locally would certainly improve BC's record and likely spark interest in NIL sponsorship for the local athletes in the program.

I watched the game where Pitt played UNC. The Pitt coach said something like "they'll have to match our strength on the line." It struck me as sounding cocky. Well, UNC crushed them, and now they're what, 3-8? Hahaha!
