Freeza has already established he keeps track of the heroic speeches he’s heard through the decades of his tyranny, and yet Goku’s idiocy and lack of knowledge of who Freeza is is something he’s never encountered before. That’s why he has no clever comeback, he’s flabbergasted someone could surprise him again.
His idiocy is legendary! Perhaps the Legendary Super Insane was there all along and all the transformations from there on in were just fluff. Jokes and memes aside though, he's really not that dumb, he's just very specialized in what he is good at. Like fighting... and eating... the only one who may be better at eating than him is Yajarobe. He's also good at throwing his children into fights or abandoning them to aliens... actually never mind he's a flaming moron who can throw a good punch. Father of the year material. I can't stop thinking about how insanely well they set it up too. Even from the beginning of the joke, it was really great characterization. Frieza's so cartoonishly evil and done with everyone that he counts the lines of the people who try to REVOLT AGAINST HIS TERROR. Then Goku's joke not only shows exactly the kind of person he is, able to casually disrespect someone everyone else sees as the most terrifying thing they've encountered so far, but also sets up the dynamic of their relationship for the rest of the fight. Frieza will continue to think he has the upper hand and know everything he's going to do, and Goku will repeatedly show him he doesn't know shit. Legitimately, like, borderline Bojack or Breaking Bad quality of characterization through even the dialogue alone. Not to mention the fact that Frieza's so shocked he drops Vegeta's body on the floor and gives Goku full attention.
My favorite part of this parody arc was how Vegeta, even though he despises and wants to kill Frieza, is still embarrassed by Goku's antics and feels the need to explain things on his behalf.

My favorite part of this is how Freeza says that Goku's line is a new one. It was previously established that Freeza likes to keep count of certain rebellious uprising speech phrases, since he's heard them so much. Even when the Namekians tried to break that cycle, they were still the 13th person to say their "unique" line. But Goku? That's a new one. He has never dealt with someone of his... intellectual caliber before, in such a particular way. Right from the start, Freeza is completely caught off-guard by Goku's shit.
Team Fourstar (the group that made the abridged version of DragonballZ) rose to an impressive quality standard after they stamped out a few issues at the beginning. And quite frankly, casting LittleKuriboh as Freezer was a perfect choice.

I love it when they have synergy with previous jokes lol, when done right it can turn a future chuckle into a guffaw that knocks you out of your seat xD. And by "they", I mean TeamFourStar (TFS).
Here's another one. Piccolo and Goku vs Raditz. How Piccolo says he has a move that can kill Raditz, but it needs to charge for 5 min. and says looking how he was beating us up... you should do fine. Goku gets beat up. Then, when Goku says he can use the Spirit Bomb to kill Freiza, but it needs to charge for 5 min. and says something similar to what Piccolo said. Piccolo realized that Goku held a grudge.
This is scene just so brilliant and well written. The entire frieza goku fight somehow lived up to the hype and managed to be just as epic as the original while also being extremely funny. Some of the best work of any any abridged series. It’s a masterpiece. So much meaning is conveyed in just this short scene. They really understood the characters

I love this interaction so much because it shows how Frieza has never met anyone like Goku, and not just in terms of strength. Early on in the arc it establishes that Frieza keeps count of all the heroic speeches, threats, and insults thrown at him, some reaching hundreds of times he's heard them. So when Goku says "Imma deck you in the Schnoz" and Frieza says "That's a new one" it shows how Goku is far from your average hero and how it bothers Frieza. It's an amazing setup to probably my favorite hero-villain relationship in DBZA

My favorite part of this is how Freeza says that Goku's line is a new one.
It was previously established that Freeza likes to keep count of certain rebellious uprising speech phrases, since he's heard them so much. Even when the Namekians tried to break that cycle, they were still the 13th person to say their "unique" line.

That's a new one. He has never dealt with someone of his... intellectual caliber before, in such a particular way. Right from the start, Freeza is completely caught off-guard by Goku's shit.

Here's another one. Piccolo and Goku vs Raditz. How Piccolo says he has a move that can kill Raditz, but it needs to charge for 5 min. and says looking how he was beating us up... you should do fine. Goku gets beat up. Then, when Goku says he can use the Spirit Bomb to kill Freiza, but it needs to charge for 5 min. and says something similar to what Piccolo said. Piccolo realized that Goku held a grudge.

I love this interaction so much because it shows how Frieza has never met anyone like Goku, and not just in terms of strength. Early on in the arc it establishes that Frieza keeps count of all the heroic speeches, threats, and insults thrown at him, some reaching hundreds of times he's heard them. So when Goku says "Imma deck you in the Schnoz" and Frieza says "That's a new one" it shows how Goku is far from your average hero and how it bothers Frieza. It's an amazing setup to probably my favorite hero-villain relationship in DBZA
