    Hello, I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a stainless steel kadai for a while now but was always a little intimidated at the prospect of seasoning it and of food sticking when cooking. However, after watching your very detailed videos I’ve decided to order a Vinod kadai and it should be arriving in a few days time. I’ve been thinking of giving up on nonstick cookware as I’m very worried about all the residue that the coating eventually releases. I thank you for sharing videos like this- it makes my life so much easier now that I know how to season and use stainless steel cookwares. Next on my list is to try cast iron but that’s actually even more intimidating than stainless steel so I’m going to give myself some time to “graduate” with stainless steel cookware first before I delve into cast iron cookware. 😆

      @@ideasathome hello Ive received and used my 24cm vinod triply kadai and i wanted to let you know that i loved it. Great heat conductivity and i used all your tips when cooking with it, food didn’t stick to the kadai. Thank you for this amazing video. i loved the kadai so much that i told my sister in Australia to get it as well as she wasn’t sure which stainless steel cookware to get. I will be purchasing the 32cm kadai to replace my large non stick wok. Have a great day.

      For deep frying cast iron kadai is the best. I use that for deep frying.. we can deep fry in vinod triply too but soon after frying, we have tranfer the oil in it and when the kadai is cool wash with dishwash soap. Else the oil can create tough stains on the cookware which will be difficult to remove. I have posted a video on deep frying pooris in bergner kadai.. plz watch

      Don't cook in high flame. Only low and medium. If you cook in high the colour may change. And don't pour cold water on hot pan.

    • @meta5291
      @meta5291 Před rokem

      I did this just now. I think the water boiling step is a bad idea - because at the edge of the water level there will be calcium and other mineral deposits from hard water (quite normal) and those deposits are hard to remove (even with vinegar).
      Other than that, oil forms a polymer at high temperature and forms the actual surface on which cooking happens - this is what keeps the food from sticking according to some other video on CZcams. If you scrub too much while cleaning, food will start sticking to the stainless steel obviously. So don't be obsessively clean.
      Let's see how this works in real life.
