I love the lantern designs. The last one might be the "easiest" but for those of us without fancy machines, it's not an attainable result. The first two are excellent ideas for beginners and very attainable, result-wise.

You could put a hinge on the top piece of the white lantern so that you could put the cross X's on all four sides and put the vase in from the top.
They are all great! Also, always pre drill and your wood wont crack.
Easy for those who own a glowforge, but love them just the same, very impressive! 😊

The first one looked easier to me. But the glowforge one definitely was close to second. I think putting those things together sometimes isn't that easy for me. But they all look so good. I don't know which one is my fav. I thought the glowforge one was... then I also like the first one. But... like I said. They are all awesome

Bought your file for this lantern. What thickness of wood is it designed for? I use 5/32 and 1/4 wood.
Hey Bonnie, They were made with 0.24" slots, but if you have Illustrator or some SVG editing tool, I made the slots a separate layer so you can adjust them or the kerfing. or email me and I will adjust them and send the files to you. ~garrett
