The 28 year old musician from Appenzell in Switzerland combines characteristics which at first sight appear to be incompatible: self-confidence and strength, vulnerability and the courage to lay bare his weaknesses.
In 2016, Bear abandoned his life plan of becoming a construction machinery mechanic in order to tour Germany and Switzerland as a street musician. At one festival he got to know a famous producer who invited him to New York, and Marius quickly became part of the Swiss artistic and creative arts scene there.

This song and his voice reminds me of the modern version of Louis Armstrong's What a wonderful world. It has a heartwarming lullaby quality to it.

I often have to listen how the woman next door keeps yelling at and intimidating her 2 y.o. boy and 3 y.o girl for crying and my heart is breaking every time I wish I could give those kids a hug. :'(

I think during this times, a lot of people can relate to this song. Boys, even men, we do have emotions and it‘s totally okay to cry when needed.

2. It's generic and unoriginal.
3. The lyrics are nothing special, most people capable of think logically know that boys do cry.
4. It's a major downgrade when compared to the last 4 years of Switzerland in Eurovision.

his voice is so magical you guys. it's got such a beautiful, nostalgic quality to it. voices like this are so underrated nowadays, it's wonderful to get to hear it in eurovision. the song is extremely simple but i think it has everything it needs, and his voice is enough to make it feel extremely unique. i absolutely adore this, and i really want to watch an old pixar movie now.

That’s the problem when the general public only wants a hyped up song with drums sounding like a rock band. Almost every year the winner is the same type. This isn’t the place for ballad contests… so sadly, the public didn’t appreciate this amazing masterpiece.
I hope that Switzerland gonna continue make the top 5 songs. After 2019 and 2021, my expectations are high! Good luck.

This song is... not Eurovision's style, I agree. It's not at all the kind of music you'd expect for this contest, even if ballads are common enough on Eurovision. Personally, this song gives me chills and it's by far my favorite, I'm talking just musically too, not even taking the meaning into account which I also found sweet. I really do understand why people may not be fans, I get how this is not really Eurovision stuff but I really don't think it should be disregarded as just "boring." In the right context, it could do great. I believe it just needs to find its audience.

Not Eurovision style? ESC must have different genres not just commercial songs. Portugal won with ballad, Lordi with rock metal song... So there is no rule what brings win. Switzerland ESC 2022 song rules!
@@sergejkap.8045 Exactly, I believe this song deserves to win. Unfortunately, I feel like great composition isn't as valued as it should be within this contest. Even though ballads have won before, the emphasis still seems to be on "upbeatness" and "catchiness", and ultimately on how commercial the song is. Of course I believe this isn't how it should be, but it does explain why this song isn't as liked as I personally believe it deserves to be. All in all, it's one of the only Eurovision songs maybe ever that has genuinely caught my attention and possibly the first time an Eurovision song has become one of my favorite songs in general. I still hope it ends up doing well because it truly deserves to.

I see potential. It is very sweet yet has a melancholic feel to it. Has christmas vibes. Could be very heartfelt or a snoozefest, we will see. With a fitting performance, this could be a dark horse for sure! Still, not necessarily what was expected so I guess some people will feel a bit bummed

The people who this song strikes a chord with don't need it to be a success in a competition to validate how lovely it is or what an amazing voice Marius has. The words 'classy', 'sophisticated' and 'quality' describe this wonderful song.

This is in my opinion the most beautiful song of the Swiss entries that I know, no other entry of Switzerland could move me to tears except this one...
