- This is a step-by-step Marley Twist tutorial for beginners. This style can be done on all hair types including 3a, 3b, 3c, 4a, 4b, 4c natural hair. I'm using the Invisible Root method, where the twisting hair is blended seamlessly for natural-looking twists that appear to be growing out of your scalp. The hair in this video is Equal's "Jamaican Twist Braid" synthetic hair. I am not professional but here are some tips I recommend that will help you achieve the BEST MARLEY TWISTS EVER! Also I am currently on a protective style hair journey where I will be wearing Marley twist for 8 months. - It has been a life-saving winter protective style for me.
Note: I like when marley twist look a little rough, not a fan of the perfect look. So I don't gel my hair or care to much about parting.
YOU'LL NEED
Braiding hair (I used 2 + 1/2 pacs)
Shea butter
Rat-tail comb
Time ( LOOOOOOOTTTTTTSSSS OF TIME)

@@MzKegz The twists seems great very natural and neet but my question is does it last? im used to have my box braids for 2 months straight i would like to try out some marley twists but i don´t know if they are worth the work if they don´t last the 2 months that i want.

@@MzKegz Will do!
FINALLLLLLY Everybody else was using rubber bands and gel and I was like ?????
Ik right, thats so damaging to ur hair! If you want ur hair to grow dont do that trust me.
Plus, no gel on edges and parting hair like cars need to pass through! Very natural looking thank you girl!
God bless you sweetheart
This is the most natural looking twist video I've seen. Thank you!
Girlll 😩 thank u because, I’ve always tried to do my own hair but never had a good video to go off of 👏🏾👏🏾
Keep practicing you will get it! It took me a while to learn, now its my everyday hairstyle 🤣
Omg!!! This was so helpful and detailed! I recently tried twisting my hair myself for the first time... I can't wait to take them out and try again with what I've learned from your video!! ❤️
As someone who is extremely bad at parting my hair this is really helpful. I’m gonna try it this Saturday.

Omg you hit the spot!❤ I can relate to been frustrated when CZcamsrs don't explain the whole process like braiding the back, parting and so on... That's why I'm creating my CZcams channel to answer the questions I couldn't find answers to about my 4c hair and taking care of it. Thanks for your video it was really helpful😍

Job well done.
Thank you for explaining so well! And i like how you only added one product in your hair, i need to do that lol
I'm french and I understand everything ! Thznk s
Elodie AUGUSTE I am so glad you understand. Thanks for watching!
Oui, je pense qu'elle explique très bien ce qu'elle fait. Les gestes suffissent pour comprendre. Je suis émerveillée par cette méthode et je peux enfin réaliser des twists moi-même. Merci à vous aussi et bon courage.
Thank you! EVERYONE shows how to do the front. 👍🏽
Right! Isnt it annoying
I am getting ready to practice doing my marley twists myself, praying I can do it.
You'll definently get it. I remember my first time doing marley twist was hard and my arms burned, now its like second nature.
Yours is not bulky....Loves it
Omg thanks for the tips regarding keeping the twists uniform!
❤️❤️❤️❤️ definitely simplified for us beginners 🙏🏾 thank you
np sis!
OMG, this looks so much easy thanks to your explanation!! Awesome tutorial!!

You are an excellent teacher. Loved your video. Thanks
am a, 4c hair type so this is for me. can't wait to get started.
Tell me how it goes!
Thank u sooooooo...much for this video..your visual and explanation is...amazing...❤❤❤❤
Most welcome 😊
Very detailed! Excited to try
Tell me how it goes!😁
Good job
How long did it last? Did any slip out? I want to do this but afraid my 4c hair will not hold the twist long. I love how you explain everything
I only leave Marley twist in for a month. Longer than that is damaging to ur hair! My hair is long so I never have to deal with slippage. As long as you use Marley hair I think you will be fine. It does a good job at micking the texture of type 4 hair.
Very well explained. Doing these for 1st time and interested in what brand did you use if you remember!
Found it in the description 😁
Excellent tutorial.. I think I can do this now. Thank you!!
Awesome video. Best I’ve seen very detailed
This review was so helpful! thank you!!
This was an awesome tutorial! Thank you so much!💜
Thank you for sharing your knowledge
GREAT VIDEO!
You explained this very very well. 🤟🤟 Do you have any tutorials on feed in braids? No one else has explained step by step this well. Awesome.
I have not unlocked that skill yet
Hey, I am interested in also doing Marley twists for the entire spring semester. Did you notice greater length retention? Do you have any tips?
Hey, so I am currently on a 8 month protective style journey. I don't want to jinx it, but it seems to be going well. It is very helpful having my hair twisted during the fall semester. Right now, I am currently giving my hair a break during the holidays and will install them again next week. My biggest tip is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Once I install them i will post videos on exactly what I do because I think I finally figured out what works for me. Hope this helps and thanks for watching :)
I was feeling you, when you were explaining how to twist the back. How exhausting.
I got it the first time, but you want all to get it, before you moved on. 🤣You are my kind of teacher. I appreciate you. Adorable.
I had to subscribe.
Love this video🙌🏾
Glad you liked it!!
you did an awesome tutorial explaining it very good step by step i know your arms are hurting
Awwwwwe you’re such a cute little person omg lol
Ok I’m messing the twist up. First time trying and I’m clinger flicked lol I won’t lie. I’m trying to get it twisted and it looks like a bubble up top and loose on bottom 😂🤦🏽♀️
Keep trying you'll get it. It took me a while to get a hang of it
Thanks for the tutorial! I'm going to do these soon and I'm going to refer to this video when I get started! I don't like gel (I use it when necessary since my hair is short-med length but I try to avoid it), so thanks for the shea butter tip!!!!!
I’m going to try this, also, what do you mean by “roll the hair”?
Yes try! As i am twisting, my fingers are rolling the two strands. Try to look closely at my fingers
Thank you !
do you think the hair should be blow dried to achieve this look? i run into the problem of my ends being thick and puffy even after detangling. especially with my hair being short
Its what ever ur preference. I don't use heat anymore! I think trying ur best to stay away from heat for this style would be beneficial. However if this is once in a while type look. I see no harm in blowing out ur hair. Ive been wearing this style as an everyday look sooo i no longer use heat.
Loved the video! Do you think I can use castor oil instead of Shea butter?
Yeah, I dont see why not? They both are thick oils. I usually use shea or castor when i braid my hair
hey! awesome video babe🥰, but i have a question. i cant find shea butter easily in my country, so what can i use instead of shea butter???
Hello, where are you from. Any moisturizing hair creme will do and an oil to seal if you can.
@@MzKegz im from turkey n im going to do my hair tomorrow, thanks for helping❤❤❤
How many packs of hair to get?
Hazel Johnson all of that is included in her description 😊
Do anyone know how to get rid of the fuzzy look at the end
Brush it out, and use product to twist
What product to use
🐐 💚
🙏🏽🖤
You're too awesome, thank you xoxo
How long did they last?
Brittany Davis i redo them every month. Wash twice a week.
How long did these take you
Muahbohn Dahn 5 - 6 hours with breaks in between. I take my time, I put on like 2 movies and a couple shows.
was your hair blown out?
Yes it was!
what brand of hair are you using?
Equal's "Jamaican Twist Braid"
👏👏👏👏💜💜💜💜
What is the name of the hair youre using and what is the length?
Keishan Christophe equals Jamaican twist
