  • In this video, Dylan from Alarm Grid Technical Support shows you how to reset the Installer Code on a Qolsys IQ Panel 4. It is important to note that to reset the Installer Code, you must know either the current Installer Code or the Current Dealer Code for the IQ Panel 4. If you do not have one of these existing codes, you will need to contact your alarm dealer and ask them to reset the code through Alarm.com.

    02:23 - Test New Code

    03:50 - Test New Code
04:13 - User Admin Options via Master Code
    05:18 - Outro
Using the Dealer Code, you can add/edit/delete any user code in the system. Using the Installer Code, you can add/edit/delete any user code in the system except the Dealer Code (neither the Dealer, the Installer, nor the Master code can be deleted, only edited). Using the Master Code, you can add/edit/delete any code on the system except for the Installer or Dealer Codes.
To edit the Installer Code, tap the gray bar at the top of the IQ Panel 4 screen, then tap Settings - Advanced Settings - Enter Installer or Dealer Code (1111 or 2222 by default) - User Management. Tap the pencil icon to the right of the Installer Code. This brings up the Edit Screen. Erase the existing code, then enter the new code. Tab to the next line, erase the existing code and re-enter the same new code. Tap the green check mark, press the keyboard down icon, then Save. Press the Home icon at the bottom of the screen to return to the Home Screen.

I recently changed out the lithium battery on this unit. After doing this, none of my sensors work. Any suggestions?

@@joshuagriffin2807found out what the problem was. There is an antenna wire in the back of the unit that's supposed to be plugged into a circuit board. It was not, so panel was not receiving signal from sensors. It works now.
