Keep voting in the same kind of leaders is insanity. Because your expecting a different result. Makes no sense.
It definitely makes no sense. But it obviously is never gonna change in these states. It's really sad, but at the same time it's the people's own fault.
Just say what it is. These are all Red states.
Boy howdy! Hayseed all these states but 1 went RED long ago. So while I'm guess U want them to go 🔵. It's the dirty south! Never been? Go on & explore em'all. They've had a "wheel in ditch & wheel on the ground!" Since post re construction. But maybe your new here in US & had NO US history classes to pass...lol
LuLz, makes perfect sense considering over 50% of ‘the poor’ in these States are black and they make up over 20% of the population. So it makes sense if you’re not a black constituent. If you are and still vote Democrat, well, that’s why you make up over 50% of that % of poor stat. But hey, that was an excellent NPC response.
Mississippi has been a Democrat state for 150 years until 6 years ago.
That Tennessee clip is Kensington Street in Philly, known by its overhead train trestles and horrifying meth traffic. It’s the Skid Row of the east coast.

It’s weird how the poorest states don’t have homelessness problems like the rich states.
They all took the Greyhound to: California
😂😂😂😂
If you were homeless wouldn't you go somewhere to try and avoid the winter as much as possible? That's going to naturally cause a movement of people to those areas just by itself. So then the places getting the most homeless from all over the country start instituting programs to try and help the homeless, which causes more to come. It's a vicious cycle.
FALSE. .rich states have more shelters and safety net programs...but you can't Force people to stay in shelters
Rich states also are paying for the homeless in poor states.

I believe the Dem states have the most homelessness. None of these stats are worth bragging about.
However, people will need to work themselves out of poverty, through schooling and hard work. lots of folks are poor because they prefer gov't handouts.
Or there are people like me who are disabled and cannot work. You cannot simply assume, especially coming from a privalaged position in life, that all homeless people are just lazy and refuse to work. If politicians didn't get paid until the people were able to see exact positive change in their cities and communities
As Republicans like to say you get what you vote for 😮
The vast majority of the poverty is packed into deep blue cities, run by democrats.
Anyone know if there has ever been any in depth analysis on why the poorest states are the in the South, and also ran by conservative governors and conservative Senate/House of Representatives?
Most of these states got screwed over by bad federal policies that let companies move their factories to other countries, or by shutting down mining operations like what happened in West Virginia. So many jobs were lost, and people left. There's not much any governor can do if the state is just not giving any reasons for people to move into. Most of the cities in these southern states are run by democrats btw, so it just doesn't matter who's in charge there if the money is not coming in.

Billionaires Today should pay 59% in Taxes, Do your homework. High tax rates on the wealthy stabilizes the economy and grows the middle class. In 1921 the tax bracket for the wealthy was at 73%. In 1924 it was lowered to 43%. In 1925 it was lowered again to 25%. From 1925 to 1929 the economy boomed as the roaring 20's were in their heyday. In 1929 the stock market crashed sending the country into the Great Depression. Starting in 1936 the rates started back up. At the end of WWII the top bracket was raised to 94%. The country was still broke when we entered the war. In order to pay off the debt, the wealthy we're taxed at 94%. That number stayed in
Place until 1965. The 50's and 60's were the most economically prosperous times in the history of our nation. In 1965 the rate was lowered to 73% and has been on the decline every since. So has our economy. We have lost the middle class. We have a small wealthy sector with a stranglehold on the economy and a growing impoverished sector. The wealthy make more than they can spend. What they do spend goes to high end luxury items and very little trickles back into the mainstream economy. The rest of their wealth is horded in banks, many of them in foreign countries. A hedge fund with 25 members made a billion dollars per member last year. At a tax rate of 90% they would have made 100,000,000 a hundred million. Get it? The profits for the wealthiest Americans are huge. When profits are that easy there is no need to work harder to increase profit margins. No need to grow a company, expand, hire more people. The economy CAN grow with high taxes on the wealthy. It is actually healthy for the economy. It keeps tax dollars in circulation. It grows the middle class. It gives the people faith in democracy because it limits corruption in politics. Reaganomics lowered taxes further. Bush started two wars and lowered taxes on the wealthy even further. Do your homework America. You don't have to be a Democrat. You don't have to like the President. Don't be fooled by anymore of Republican logic that will further divide the country into two classes, very wealthy and very poor. Clinton raised taxes on the wealthy and cleared the deficit. It works. History is our guideline for a better tomorrow. Do your homework. Google the history of tax rates in America. The wealthy can afford the cuts. When people are able to find jobs again spending will go down. Cut the military budget first. The wealthy made huge profits off of our two most recent wars. Those profits are tax dollars that they are sitting on and paid very little tax on thanks to the Bush tax cuts. Raise the high end taxes back up to 94%. That's how we paid for WWII and the economy prospered!
That's just silly
Youre smoking that good shit 😂
Look to the federal reserve and also the cantillon effect for answers. Those high tax rates take take away the incentive for innovation. Take away all the loopholes is more like it.
David you are correct but you have to let people know that those are marginal tax rates. The rich paid a 90% marginal tax rate in the 1950s. That is a fact!
Thanks David. Facts that need to be repeated. You understand economic history. History that the right-wingers like Nick Johnson lack the education to understand.

@@bradc6199 It is absolutely true. Just research states with the highest crime rates per capita.
@Gingerhannah23 not that straight forward. Their crime is more pronounced due to lower numbers of population. Large cities are far more dangerous, but their overall numbers statewide are lower due to the population size. No way it's more dangerous to live in Mississippi than LA or Chicago or Philly. Those cities have safe areas and other areas that you dont go through unless you live there. I've lived in Mississippi and Louisiana. Both have safe areas both have high crime areas. Usually the high crime areas are controlled by the Democrats, while the countryside is controlled by Republicans. These states vote red to keep crime out of the countryside. It has worked in the past but now, poverty and crime are being exported to the countryside. We haven't seen the worst of it yet.
