Agreed! Chris Brown at the beginning of his career is one of the very last few(if not the only) singers to sing like this. Everyone today seems purposefully monotone when they sing. It went from uplifting and passionate music to smoking and drinking music.
Speaking of that I think that at the BET Awards this year they should due a performance of that song being that's it's the 30 anniversary of the song and Jason's Lyric. Jada Pinkett Smith and Allen Payne should introduce all of the singers to perform on the stage that night.
