- Citizenship is not just a piece of government document but it is much more than that. Without it, you wont be able to get a job in Nepal, open bank account, or get a passport. Now imagine a situation where both you parents are Nepali Citizen, you were born in Nepal, lived in Nepal for years, but now you are barred from having Citizenship. This is a reality for several lakhs of people in Nepal who have waited for years to obtain it. But how did this happen? And you must have seen the recent debates on the new Citizenship Amendment Act, which has triggered a nationwide debate on if it be used to give Citizenship to Indian. So, what is it and what's going on?

When I went to take my citizenship, I was very much made aware of the bad attitude of the government workers in the process. It truly was an eye opening experience that if the development of the country can only happen after making the rule for firing government employee on the case of misbehavior.
What did they do? Can you tell? I myself found a few of them, full of over attitude, especially the way they talk, some were nice though.

Many Nepalese working in india also do have adhar card voting right in india as well as citizenships of nepal .

Bro I am from India 🇮🇳 ,we are also going to implement CAA/NRC citizenship act bcz lots of illegal muslims migrants from Bangladesh and rohingya have entered in india and in huge number .The opposition party I.e congress is using them as a vote bank and they create trouble like converting hindus to islam and violence act .This bill allow hindu from pakistan, bangladesh, afghanistan to become indian citizenship .Those who are saying indians are living illegally in nepal ,FYI many nepali also live illegally in sikkim and other parts .I think similarly Nepal is also doing

There is only 1 problem with waiting period. What should a lady do for 7 years? No job, no property, no business, no bank account…. Just stay at home? Will a educated woman be okay with it?
Furthermore, if there is an accident and her husband dies… what will happen now? She has left her previous citizenship, does not have new one, has no job, property, bank account, no husband. Left just like that!
India imposes such provisions over foreign brides. Other nations do the same thing.
So why is it wrong in the case of Nepal only??
citizenship is not necessary for these things if we apply...
