Just heard that my beloved love boat captain has passed away. I wrote to you a few years ago and you sent me a beautiful signed photo of the Love Boat crew on board the Pacific Princess and it’s my pride and joy. I watched the show when it first aired here in the UK. Nowadays, I have a few seasons on dvd, only three seasons were released here, that I watch whenever I need cheering up. Gavin, you are a real star, May God hold you in his loving arms now. You will always be my love boat captain. Thank you for the smiles and laughter. And for the love of cruises. RIP x

I was a young teen when The Love Boat was a popular show. Seeing Ted Lange and Fred older makes me sad but I’m not a teen. I’m 53. So many years have gone by. Gavin made an impact on me.
We know that he made a big impact on many people, Pamela. He, and the series, The Love Boat, inspired so many to try cruising. As a result, cruising has become a much loved way to spend a vacation. His legacy will live on!
its a shame great people get remembered mostly when they pass. we started watching love boat reruns a few months ago.. 📺

im so sad loss of mr. MacLeod im 51 years old 40 years ago (in 1981-1982) Love Boat tv series was so popular in my country (also Dallas) too. Capatain Merıl Stuppis was like a real captain in that movie 40 years ago i was 10-11 years old i had in love captain's girl Wicki haha today Turkish film Endustry have reached high levels but 35-40 years ago me and my generation we grow up some of your tv series include (Falcan crest -Dallas -Flamingo road) Love Boat was a great tv series Aaron Spelling factor most important too our dear USA's friends i know him he was also productor of Dallas and my favourite young tv series in early 90's Beverly hills 90210 too finally i was liked the LOVE BOAT because in every epidose i could see USA's worldwide tv stars as a quest too.
