I love watching The Love Boat back then and thanks to the advancement of technology, I still watch it from its very first Season when it aired. I had a crush on Doc and still do... Captain Stubing will always be the Captain for all of us. I think I also saw Gavin at the Mary Tyler Moore Show... LoL.

I loved the show! Some of the stories were so intense........ They had me in tears!!!! When Dr. Bricker was accused of sexual harassment.....and ....the accuser realized they lied....but Capt. Stubing.....stood behind Dr. Bricker the whole time! When Capt. stubing was supposedly reading a letter dismissing Dr. Bricker from his job on any cruise....only to find out the document in Capt. Hand. Was blank.... How close & tight they all were!!! It was hard to see gopher ( Fred grandy) leave the show!). And then Lauren tweez.... It wasn't the same when Lauren tweeze & Fred grandy left! Then they tried to do a new 1! " The next wave!? Nope. ..not the same w/out the original cast! And You Had A Capt. Stubing Who was a very. . humble..... Gentle.... Godly man!!

Gavin McLeod worked NONSTOP 17 years having gone from playing Murray on the Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-77) straight to Love Boat. He said Love started taping only 3 months after Mary Tyler Moore wrapped its last episode. I bet even Gavin didn't realize his lucky stars he would work continuously that long. Also, he went from a supporting role on Mary Tyler Moore to the lead on Love Boat. Talk about your lucky stars !
We had the pleasure of being on the Regal Princess 2020 February! For the Vow renewal cruise of February 9-15 2020 ! It’s on CZcams ! February vow renewal was amazing ! Check it out ! We had a blast ! We will certainly miss our great Capt Stubing ! Rest in peace !♥️♥️♥️❤️🩹
The cast lucked out with this show. They happened to have great chemistry and it showed onscreen. Missed Fred Grandy when he left. He had a lovable, goofy persona about him. True, it wasn't the same when they replaced Lauren Tewes with her character's sister. It worked out on Charlie's Angels when Farrah Fawcett left since Aaron Spelling produced both shows.
@@shihlin1 She had a problem with drugs but she got over it by the time they found out. So they just had to punish her anyways and that's why they changed our beautiful cruise director.
This was when T.V. shows gave us ...HOPE in love, hope in the future, hope in going on a cruise..Ha-ha ( I can't Afford to ever go on a cruise) so thank god for this show. This was when t.v. was great..NOW T.V. is all about crime and death and terrible things that happens in the world.. This gave us Entertainment. But have the D.V.D's ❤
OMG! Yes.... The passing of Gavin macleod! I had heard 1 interview he did regarding T.v. show and a role in it....all In the family! He flat out turned it down! He absolutely didn't want to do that kind of character! And I loved how he professed the LORD JESUS right on t.v.! He is glory w/ actor.james Coburn...who I heard who came to Christ B4 HE passed....as did Steve McQueen! Yes! Yes! Hallelujah!!

This is great - I was just watching an episode last night from 1982. Loved it! Great cast and guest stars with clean entertaining story lines.
Yet filled with cleverly disguised sexual innuendo.

It was sad when Lauren left, but I did adjust to Pat Klous. I do wish they had given Pat some more focus to get the audience used to the change.
