Probably not even unpopular but Brittany Murphy would have been the best Harley Quinn. Imagine her alongside Heath Ledger.
Agreed if heath didn’t pass a second film with him and Brittany as Harley would be fire along side Christian bale as batman

I completely agree with the Aaron Eckhart take in Dark Knight... He is incredible in that film, but no one talks about it. We see such a transformation in his character. I wonder how it would be viewed if what happened to Heath never happened?

Unpopular opinions: Prey isn't actually that good it just seemed good after the slop we got prior. Watching it more than once reveals it to be ordinary at best. The "hero" got half her tribe including her brother killed because of her own selfish arrogance. That said, Predators is the best Predator sequal. Royce is actually a more acurate build for a commando than Dutch. We should have got a sequal to Predators.
Prey was the predator runs into people big elaborate fight scene, people run into predator big elaborate fight scene, people capture predator, predator breaks out big elaborate fight scene, predator has elaborate fight scene with side characters and main character and then a couple more with main character again, Christ almighty! I prefer the build up to the confrontation approach and have one big showdown rather than every scene being a climatic ending fight, it's tiresome and repetitive.
To the credit of Johnny Depp's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it was more true to the book than the 1971 movie was and the author of the book HATED the Gene Wilder movie because of how it didn't stay true to his book. Me personally, I love both movies. I like the unsettling vibes from both of them and also the fun of them and the musical numbers.

But, Myers isn't meant to just be scary and intimidating, he is meant to be eerie and spooky, and Mane didn't have that. So that's why he isn't my favorite Michael

I think what the first comment was trying to say is that Joker is exploitative of mental illness as a trope rather than having anything actually meaningful to say about what people with health struggles go through. Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy are films that deal with specific types of mental illness and are full character studies that have something meaningful to say. Joker is a Taxi Driver/King of Comedy fan film with Joker/Batman iconography slapped onto it for marketing purposes.
Exactly. I had seen this same type of movie before. A man's descent into madness. But if you took out the names Joker, Gotham City and Wayne, would you have any clue this was ever supposed to be about the Joker? Or would it have been anywhere near as successful or stood out from the likes of Taxi Driver? I certainly wouldn't have been interested if it wasn't Joker branded.
Directors cut of Daredevil is great because it also was the version which had the DTS sound. But anyone hating on Daredevil 2003 has zero appreciation for the soundtrack.

While I did enjoy Halloween 1978 and Halloween 2 1981. I don't love them personally. I found Halloween 2 '81 to be a bit boring in places.
Ang Lee's Hulk movie is underrated its the only film that explores bruce banners origin story really well yes its a slower paced film but it doesn't lack substance the characters are great the action is awesome and shows just how powerful the hulk is and danny elfmans score is great right up there with his work on the original batman score and the sam raimi Spider-Man score

TMNT 3 has better character development for the brothers than the first two.
Chris Reeve isn't a "wholesome" Superman. You're saying that from memories of feelings and skewed memories of events.
For instance his Superman not only puts on the obnoxious odd act as Clark first night he met Lois he asked her out got shot down twice, walks into the ladies room. Mind you this is all an act. Next night knowing she's enamored with Superman tricks here into a "date" with Clark after looking at her panties with his x-ray vision, and dropping her from the sky as a practical joke. Again she's not interested in Clark and already brushed him off but he secretly manipulates her into doing what he wants.
Another example of just oddball frankly psycho behavior, Clark is the one that pressures Lois into going into the alley at gunpoint when she had the good Sense to want to run, but then after in the alley decides to fight back for Clark to pretend to pass out catching the bullet that he endangered her with to begin with only to let the gunman go free. Again this is an act and for a laugh. Looks thru her purse and obviously lies about to throw her off the trail..
All this happens in the span of like 5 - 7 minutes. Tricking her into an unwanted date looking at her panties endangering her life TWICE in 24hrs and there's a ton more. Mind you this is just a few scenes from the first film in a quadrilogy.
I really wish ppl would set nostalgia aside and revisit classics objectively with a fresh set of eyes.
No I'm not saying don't enjoy XYZ don't be obtuse and they are pretty funny in the right mood. I'm simply saying analyze films for what they are not what you want them to be. If you don't understand that just think of how children view their parents, the biggest the strongest the toughest when in reality... THEIR NOT we know and they do too but their feelings let them lie to themselves.
Opening on krypton is easily the best part of the film tho
Here's an unpopular opinion. Christian Bale's Batman is overrated. He did great in Batman Begins, but in the last 2 films, he basically plays a secondary role to Joker and Bane. He's just a hero for the villains to fight. The movies were good, but Batman was overshadowed in his own films.
what!!!??? you haven't seen the extended versions of the lord of the rings???? that is all I will watch! once you watch it you wont want to watch anything else. and yes im with you on fellowship of the ring, that is the best one.

Batman has become too over saturated in recent times, and as a result lost all his charm.
You can only watch a character so many times before you get tired of seeing him.
If WB wants to make Batman interesting again, then they need to do Batman Beyond. That’s something that we haven’t seen in a long time, so it would be a fresh take and more interesting.
I really didn't like Joker. I didn't object to the violence or whatever everyone was on about; I just thought it was a direct ripoff of "King of Comedy" but with a little "Taxi Driver" thrown in. Hysterically unoriginal. Only live action Batman related movie I didn't enjoy at all.
That said, Joaquin Phoenix delivers an epic performance. But it doesn't help.
