(Mind blown) the moment i read this i realised what i was missing, and why this song was so evocative of the sea to me. The rolling piano scales, the soft fiddle, the rising and falling of vocal power - it's the sea! They composed the sound of the sea!!

@@RachelHardy Well, it definitely is mission accomplished across the board! I didn't so much as remember this song, but you two have turned it into a truly memorable piece that I just want to listen to over and over again, and that still plays in my head for hours on end after I stop.

Don't think I've ever left a review on any type of audio. Podcasts, music, anything. I actually only came across this by chance, while looking for new music for the gym. I'd heard of Mr. McGuinness from friends, and he does great work. But gracious, Rachel's voice is incredible. I've heard lots of pretty voices, from major music stars to church choirs. But none as absolutely intoxicating as hers. Maybe it's just me, but I've never heard anything like it. I've listened to this song on repeat for the majority of the last two days (when I don't have others with me), and I can't get enough of it. I don't want to knock Colm in any way, but Rachel's incredible voice makes this song for me.
She's absolutely beautiful on top of that.

I thought colm mcguinness had reched the top of my pirate scale. BUT I was wrong him and Rachel bring the dark cold waters to this song. I got a chill down my spine with the amazing vocals in this song. Great job hope you collaborate on some more songs in the future!!!!

Fantastic cover
I especially loved the swelling and building in the background music in the last bit. The piano and violin were so subtle that when they're finally heard they really add a lot to the sound. I like the counter melodies by Colm as well! Definitely one of my fave versions of this song.
