Yes haircuts are inexpensive in the Philippines, I pay 80 pesos in Central Luzon! The major concern is how clean and sanitized the shop is :) They don’t use barbicide disinfectant for their tools…..if you don’t mind a fungal infection nothing to worry about
Truth. Anything Filipino is a bargain. Imported goods are 2x to 5x more. But I'm also using Amazon which has free shipping to the Philippines for orders which are $50 to $200. There's nooo comparison of the women.😅
Heck, Steve, in Utah a studio will set you back $600-$800+! Just a 1 bedroom apartment is $800-$1200! A haircut in the U.S. is $25+! Just a trim! I paid about $4 in Ortigas (Robinson’s Galleria), and included beard trim and massage!
All depends on where you live in the US and how bad you want out. Philippines has a whole set of problems believe me. It's for some yes but not for most as I've witnessed it first hand. Each to his own.

Also traveled a bit in the army and well adapted to most situations. Once I get used to the heat and the traffic I’ll be better situated. But having a connection there with family through my wife we’ll be fine on our budget as well

If by chance it doesn't work out for you, you can always move back if you desire. I got tired of all the inconveniences that I worked so hard to maintain. For me it was regressing back in time. Sure the people are wonderful but it takes a whole lot more for me to live there than wonderful people. Being married to a Filipina myself she doesn't want any part of moving back. She told me visiting maybe up to 6 months at a time is good enough. I can understand her feelings. I'm retired military myself and civil service and I live fine in the not-so-free US that we were brought up to believe but I'm not living a life of luxury either nor do I wish too!
Regarding the cost of haircuts in Japan, the average barber charges $15 while men’s hair salons charge $45~$50. A 20~30 minute massage is $30~$50. Going out for dinner in Japan is typically fairly expensive. A very average dinner for two is easily $100~$150 and you’re lucky if you leave with a full stomach.
Steve, my electric bill is over 200 dollars. This is year round. I turn the heat down during the winter while I am at work. I usually do not turn the air-condition on until I get home from work. I live in the capital district of New York State.
I find food is almost 1/4 the price from USA. Fish was $30 lb in Florida at the beach. Bohol maybe $5.00 a lb. Home rental 1/10 $200 a month 3 bed 2 bath. My water bill was $1.oo last month. Vegetables are all organic. Tricycle is 75 cents for 5 miles to market. Somethings, like a Bunch of variety is not here. Here is a tip on greeting women. You raise your eyebrows real high, and smile. A women understands you from 500 feet away. And will do the same along with a big smile .
I think 1/4 is a big stretch! Roasted Chicken is 350 pesos at Andok’s , Bacon, real butter not that fake margarine and cheese are all pricey! Yes Food is less expensive however no way it’s 1/4th. I doubt all the veggies are organic…..unless you buy from an organic farm. They load the rice fields with fertilizer and pesticides
Where I lived in Florida was 95% tourist so the prices were very high there. I don't eat bacon and have never seen any at the market. Not everything is 1/4 price just what I buy and cook.@@kevink3975
Most of your information is pretty much accurate. Been living in central Luzon for several years and your living expenses information is accurate give or take 300 to 400 pesos low or high. The biggest difference is your medical, drugs and dentist cost which is much lower, really low for excellent care👍. The only big cost is electric and fuel. But your living on an island or islands so your not traveling that far and alternative transportation is much more available. Again good video 👍
Steve, couple things you didn't mention about rents here is that sometimes you have to pay for water and sometimes it's included, not that it's any big amount. I am very fortunate that my place comes with it's own well, so I just pay for filtered water, less than $1 for about 2.5 gallons. But the really BIG difference is that my rent didn't increase every year or 6 months. I am paying the same rent today that I paid the first day I moved in and that was almost 7 years ago! For a nice bungalow with a yard and landscape maintenance costs me about $235 a month (2 bedrooms, 1 CR - bathroom). In Baguio I paid double for a 3 bedroom 2 CR, but included electricity too. Electricity in Baguio is less because you don't need air conditioning. I have a housekeeper and a maid and I use about $2,000 per month. My internet, Fibre with land line costs $50. It's just the best deal a person could ever ask for.
You have said in the past, 2500 per month is the sweet spot for the philippines. In the USA, I am paying 540 per month for combined property taxes and homeowners insurance.
Look at the whole picture, long term, you may survive for now but when you need 24/7 caregiver, it will drain your whole porfolio, will cost 5,000 to 15,000 per month depending on the facility, in the Philippines it will only cost you 200 dollars monthly.

Excellent video, I think the price is very over here a lot, depending on the kind of service that you want and the kind of quality products that you are buying. Like a haircut not at the mall is 150 pesos cut and shave. But if you go to Bruno‘s and get a cut and hot towel shave with a treatment, it’s 1900 pesos. I know you were talking about Furniture being cheap but if you want like a lazy boy electric set up you’re gonna be spending 150 to 200,000 pesos. Everything depends on the quality of the products you want in the Philippines. If you buy Filipino, it will be very cheap but if you want the good imported stuff, the price is comparable to the rest of the world. Like if you shop at SNR for your groceries, which is like a Sam’s Club or Costco You’ll be spending a little bit extra extra to get the imported goods. The only thing I really find cheaper is the water bill. The power bill is about equal to my house that I had in Florida, but I also run three air conditioners nonstop here in the Philippines. The power bill is around 8000 to 9000 pesos a month for a 1200 square-foot house. Some people can live without AC and without all the comforts of their home country and live on a very cheap budget. Even the price of a car here is a little bit more money than in the USA. But there is no dealer fees the window sticker price is the price of the car. The same goes for sport bikes you pay a premium here. My wife and I would live off the same budget in Florida as we do here in the Philippines. Our house was paid off in Florida and our house is paid off here we need the same money to live in either place.

I see all these people saying they live on $1,400 USD or less no problem, but they may be living a lifestyle I don't really want. But you can find a quiet lifestyle still in a house, but it has to be in a gated community that is exclusive. We built our house in a gated community in lipa area and it is super quiet. There’s no roosters no wild parties. There is a curfew just like if you would have a restricted community in the USA. You can buy your T-bone steaks at SNR. They’re imported from Australia. They really good ones. And they do have steaks at the local grocery stores, but the quality of the meat and the cleanliness is not the same. We shop at both. The only difference that if you don’t live and like BGC or something like that, you’re going to need a car which is not a problem most people over here drive. If you can drive in America, you can definitely drive here. It took me a little bit getting used to, but I have never had an accident in many years. If you’re going to have a 3000 budget, you’ll have a very decent lifestyle as long as you have everything else paid off. I am the same as you when I see people saying they can live on 1000 or $1500. I don’t know how they live. I like keeping my house about 72° inside. I like having icemakers and water makers in my refrigerators. I am accustomed to growing up with a normal lifestyle in America and I try to have the same lifestyle here in the Philippines with my wife. When you first moved here, I would recommend staying in Manila BGC or like Eastwood city it would be nice and quiet and give you a homebase. Well you look for your spot to live with your family. There are lots of great communities here that are super quiet. You just have to check them out and do your research when you are here a lot of times online people are not telling you the truth.

Hi Steve! Good info as usual however, nothing says you have to live in a US metropolis either. All are high compared to living outside these areas and in my opinion who would even want to live in a metropolis even if you have the funds. I'm originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and I moved to Southern Mississippi along the coast for nearly half of what I would of paid in Texas. A beautiful 2/2 apartment in Biloxi will run you around $1400 a month including water and that's 1330 sq ft of living area. Arbor properties is their name and there's about 5 different properties along the gulf coast. Food is high no matter where you live especially in the US. You can cut costs on that also. My wife and I, a Filipina are living in a 1 bedroom apartment in Gulfport and we pay $1040 a month including water and our unit is modern and 900sq ft. You have to be flexible where you want to live to get the most bang for your buck. Mississippi sales tax is 7%, no state income tax on pensions or 401k's. Hospitals are about as good as anywhere else in the US, overpriced, quality of health-care doesn't even come close to the cost. I have 3 pensions, US Civil Service, Air Force Reserves, and SSDI and I'm 66 y/o and my wife is 60 and works on the Gulfport Seabee base in billeting and we do pretty darn good. I don't want to maintain a house at my age so we rent. We can move when our lease is up. I lived in the Philippines in 2000 for nearly a year in Angeles. Ok for about 4 months but not for me. I was 42 on civil service disability. Philippines health-care system scares the sh.. out of me due to cash upfront or upon discharge. I know you can purchase expat health insurance but I have medicare and tricare for life and my wife Aetna and tricare select. Just provide our insurance cards and walla. NP's. I have yet to receive any medical bill because medicare and tricare take care of it and that includes surgeries. I'm in excellent health by the way. US has it's fair share of issues but I stay away from politics and I don't hang around too many people but yet I'm easy to talk to. US is better for us because we are aging. I currently live in the province paying $260 usd for a one room house with covered carport which actually is a bit much. Moving to Baguio next month and got a two story 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath fully furnished house with balcony for $700 usd a month. I don't think you will find that in the states these days!

Great info once again, Steve! I love listening to your relaxed demeanor. There are places here like Fogo de Chão and any Brazilian steakhouses where you can eat as much meat as your heart and vascular system can handle...but you have to pay a very hefty price.
The issue is with eating Filipino food as good as it tastes it's very very unhealthy. They put magic sarap in it which is banned everywhere else. It's a deadly preservative. And the philippines country is very high in diabetes and cancer and they use very bad oils like canola oil ( rapeseed another oil used by mechanics it's man made) idk when they have coconuts everywhere they could use coconut oil. My friends over there have a tough time getting access to fresh produce and I love green vegetables like artichokes and herbs and broccoli etc but they cook everything in sugar and bad oils. I don't think they have grass-fed Irish butter and mycotoxin mold free coffee like purity I drink. That's where our money goes every pay period. I budget 700 per pay period 1400 a month that is and end up spending almost 1700 usd in groceries a month for the 5 of us. Gas in the philippines is the same price as America if not more. And I don't know where your looking but the price of most 1 bed in the philippines is 600$ usd or more. I've looked everywhere and asked around not for my benefit but to get an idea of costs. But haircuts and massages and Healthcare and dental and Eyewear are pennies on the dollar. And you can find tons of fun things to do for free in the philippines. I love Filipino food but I can't afford to eat it everyday ill bloom out like a pumpkin like I did last time I came.
Fil-Am here. I agree with you. I avoid putting fake shit in my food; maybe once in a while. The work itself Magic Sarap should give you a clue to that it is processed fake stuff. I haven't been back to the Philippines for almost 25 years and I know a lot have changed. My family used to cook sinigang the old-fashion way (tamarind or guava) but now seeing fake packets of preservatives sickens me. Like I said once in a while I'll use it but I have to pay the price of feeling inflamed. I guess I'll stick to my grilled liempo or fish with plain ol' salt and pepper. Thank you for your comments.
Most Filipinos use palm oil, the cheapest oil usually from Malaysia or Indonesia. Coconut oil is more expensive. Most supermarket carry different kinds of oil like Canola which is imported fr Canada. Philippines has like free trade with asean. Palm oil beats coconut oil in terms of yield.
This is the second theory reason I'm going to move to the Philippines. The primary reason is the USA is not the country I was born in. It has changed so much in 59 years it's pitiful. And the changes aren't good

I know it wont be the “temperature”…..lol. And i wish they would do far more to fix the water and sewage infrastructure. But it is very nice to eat so cheap there and the local beer (SanMig) is quite good. I think one thing that is very underrated is that you do not need to go to the resorts, Palawan, Boracay, etc. You can find beautiful accessible beaches everywhere in the PH. Don’t waste your money on the resorts or tourist areas.

Where are you living to pay that much for a haircut? I live in Southern Mississippi and on Wednesdays my barber charges $12 and his regular price is $14. An excellent haircut, nose and ear hair trim included. You are living in a high priced area of the US indeed. The standard price for a haircut is $20.

We eat Filipino food because it is our comfort food, food that are taste buds are longing for, food that our mothers served growing up. It is no cheaper than the unhealthy burgers and fries that Americans eat here in the US. If you associate money value to food that certain people eat, then it becomes offensive or even racist to some. Please stay away from associating Filipino food as cheap alternative to American food or other foods. My wife is a Japanese-American who like you, does not really care for Filipino food. But I never heard her say that we should eat Filipino food in order to save money. I cook/buy it because it's what I like to eat.

Most of you people here are so hell bent on moving to the Philippines without even researching cheaper places to live in the US and there's plenty. Dallas is not a cheap place. The Philippines is not for everyone. The first time I visited Manila, I despised it and swore I would never return. After going back home for a few months, I missed it. I decided to give it a second chance. I could not be happier with my life here. I have a beautiful live-in girlfriend who truly loves me for me. No, I am not buying her, she even contributes to our living expenses proportional to her monthly income. She is 30 years younger than me and worships me. I live in Makati, the wealthiest city in the Philippines. I travel around Southeast Asia and beyond often. I go back to Dallas at least one or two months a year. My living expenses, including US trips, are less than $30k a year. I love the financial freedom and the quality of my life, something most Americans can only dream of. Money aside, the brutal individualism of the US is not something I can accept. Albeit I can afford a decent life in a cheaper place compared to Dallas, somewhere in the woods in the US. Last but not least, the lowest price for a haircut I could get with a coupon was $25 plus a lousy $5 tip! I pay less than $1 here.

Steve, yes the Philippines is cheaper, but there are some negatives. As a northerner I can't imagine living in a place where I would need to have air conditioning. I have never had air conditioning in my house because I don't need it. Of course I don't live down south in a hot place like Boston. The weather alone in the Philippines make it a no go for me. But everyone is different. Also a fair bit of what you mentioned is stuff that lots of people never do. I have never had a massage and never will have one and the last time I went into a fast food place was in 2017. There are no fast food places where I live except for lobster shacks and you don't get food there is you want cheap. Yeah, I live on the Maine coast where it hit 80 one day last summer - I thought I was gonna die from the heat.
I am moving to Baguio, house we are going rent has no air con because its not needed. Elevation is 4,800 feet to 5000 feet above sea level. It rains more however your comfortable.
Where do you have to live to get a 1-2 bedroom apartment for less than $600 per month? Looking in the main cities (Cebu, Angeles, Metro Manila) it's not even close. Nice 1 bedrooms (not little tiny postage stamps) are more like $700 (minimum 1 year lease). I don't want to live in the boonies, but I don't have to be right in the middle of everything either. I don't have Facebook to look at Facebook Marketplace, so I'm looking at Dot Property and Lamudi. Where else should I look?

my mortgage plus utilities in flyover country usa runs about 1200 bucks. gas is 3.09 a gallon. a pound of hamburger is 5.50. i can live on 2000 a month if i'm not too extravagant. of course i own my cars outright and my only debt is my mortgage. 50 pound bag of rice from costco is 30 bucks. Depending on where you live in usa it can be fairly cheap.

Your data on US prices is outdated. A haircut and dye with tip at a good salon in the US is about $100 USD in Middle America. Even a simple haircut in the States is about $30 USD Looking forward to when I am able to be in the Philippines full time
Eggs Steve, 30 eggs in a flat 200 to 250 pesos. Eggs were that much for 1 dozen a year ago in Nevada. Water bill about 8 bucks a month. My sister and everyone else in my hometown in Washington state pays 250 per month. Im paying 185 a month for a nice 2br 2 bath apartment. My girlfriend is having a baby due in Nov. All in 120k for c sec, vaginal birth 80k, $2500 max. And thats a pvt room at Medical city on Clark AFB. It would be $30k in America. My $$$$ goes lots further. Not to mention how i am treated by my gf. Amazing.

Sure the people are wonderful but it takes a whole lot more for me to live there than wonderful people. Being married to a Filipina myself she doesn't want any part of moving back. Regarding the cost of haircuts in Japan, the average barber charges $15 while men’s hair salons charge $45~$50. A 20~30 minute massage is $30~$50. Going out for dinner in Japan is typically fairly expensive. A very average dinner for two is easily $100~$150 and you’re lucky if you leave with a full stomach.

Steve, my electric bill is over 200 dollars. This is year round. I turn the heat down during the winter while I am at work. I usually do not turn the air-condition on until I get home from work. I live in the capital district of New York State.

I find food is almost 1/4 the price from USA. Fish was $30 lb in Florida at the beach. Bohol maybe $5.00 a lb. Home rental 1/10 $200 a month 3 bed 2 bath. My water bill was $1.oo last month. Vegetables are all organic. Tricycle is 75 cents for 5 miles to market. Somethings, like a Bunch of variety is not here. Here is a tip on greeting women. You raise your eyebrows real high, and smile. A women understands you from 500 feet away. And will do the same along with a big smile .

Most of your information is pretty much accurate. Been living in central Luzon for several years and your living expenses information is accurate give or take 300 to 400 pesos low or high. The biggest difference is your medical, drugs and dentist cost which is much lower, really low for excellent care👍. The only big cost is electric and fuel. But your living on an island or islands so your not traveling that far and alternative transportation is much more available. Again good video 👍
Steve, couple things you didn't mention about rents here is that sometimes you have to pay for water and sometimes it's included, not that it's any big amount. I am very fortunate that my place comes with it's own well, so I just pay for filtered water, less than $1 for about 2.5 gallons. But the really BIG difference is that my rent didn't increase every year or 6 months. I am paying the same rent today that I paid the first day I moved in and that was almost 7 years ago! For a nice bungalow with a yard and landscape maintenance costs me about $235 a month (2 bedrooms, 1 CR - bathroom). In Baguio I paid double for a 3 bedroom 2 CR, but included electricity too. Electricity in Baguio is less because you don't need air conditioning. I have a housekeeper and a maid and I use about $2,000 per month. My internet, Fibre with land line costs $50. It's just the best deal a person could ever ask for.
You have said in the past, 2500 per month is the sweet spot for the philippines. In the USA, I am paying 540 per month for combined property taxes and homeowners insurance.
Look at the whole picture, long term, you may survive for now but when you need 24/7 caregiver, it will drain your whole porfolio, will cost 5,000 to 15,000 per month depending on the facility, in the Philippines it will only cost you 200 dollars monthly.

Like a haircut not at the mall is 150 pesos cut and shave. But if you go to Bruno‘s and get a cut and hot towel shave with a treatment, it’s 1900 pesos.
I know you were talking about Furniture being cheap but if you want like a lazy boy electric set up you’re gonna be spending 150 to 200,000 pesos.
Everything depends on the quality of the products you want in the Philippines. If you buy Filipino, it will be very cheap but if you want the good imported stuff, the price is comparable to the rest of the world. Like if you shop at SNR for your groceries, which is like a Sam’s Club or Costco You’ll be spending a little bit extra extra to get the imported goods.
The only thing I really find cheaper is the water bill. The power bill is about equal to my house that I had in Florida, but I also run three air conditioners nonstop here in the Philippines. The power bill is around 8000 to 9000 pesos a month for a 1200 square-foot house. Some people can live without AC and without all the comforts of their home country and live on a very cheap budget. Even the price of a car here is a little bit more money than in the USA. But there is no dealer fees the window sticker price is the price of the car. The same goes for sport bikes you pay a premium here. My wife and I would live off the same budget in Florida as we do here in the Philippines. Our house was paid off in Florida and our house is paid off here we need the same money to live in either place.

But you can find a quiet lifestyle still in a house, but it has to be in a gated community that is exclusive. We built our house in a gated community in lipa area and it is super quiet. There’s no roosters no wild parties. There is a curfew just like if you would have a restricted community in the USA. You can buy your T-bone steaks at SNR. They’re imported from Australia. They really good ones. And they do have steaks at the local grocery stores, but the quality of the meat and the cleanliness is not the same. We shop at both. The only difference that if you don’t live and like BGC or something like that, you’re going to need a car which is not a problem most people over here drive. If you can drive in America, you can definitely drive here. It took me a little bit getting used to, but I have never had an accident in many years. If you’re going to have a 3000 budget, you’ll have a very decent lifestyle as long as you have everything else paid off. I am the same as you when I see people saying they can live on 1000 or $1500. I don’t know how they live. I like keeping my house about 72° inside. I like having icemakers and water makers in my refrigerators. I am accustomed to growing up with a normal lifestyle in America and I try to have the same lifestyle here in the Philippines with my wife. When you first moved here, I would recommend staying in Manila BGC or like Eastwood city it would be nice and quiet and give you a homebase. Well you look for your spot to live with your family. There are lots of great communities here that are super quiet. You just have to check them out and do your research when you are here a lot of times online people are not telling you the truth.

Hi Steve! Good info as usual however, nothing says you have to live in a US metropolis either. All are high compared to living outside these areas and in my opinion who would even want to live in a metropolis even if you have the funds. I'm originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and I moved to Southern Mississippi along the coast for nearly half of what I would of paid in Texas. A beautiful 2/2 apartment in Biloxi will run you around $1400 a month including water and that's 1330 sq ft of living area. Arbor properties is their name and there's about 5 different properties along the gulf coast. Food is high no matter where you live especially in the US. You can cut costs on that also. My wife and I, a Filipina are living in a 1 bedroom apartment in Gulfport and we pay $1040 a month including water and our unit is modern and 900sq ft. You have to be flexible where you want to live to get the most bang for your buck. Mississippi sales tax is 7%, no state income tax on pensions or 401k's. Hospitals are about as good as anywhere else in the US, overpriced, quality of health-care doesn't even come close to the cost. I have 3 pensions, US Civil Service, Air Force Reserves, and SSDI and I'm 66 y/o and my wife is 60 and works on the Gulfport Seabee base in billeting and we do pretty darn good. I don't want to maintain a house at my age so we rent. We can move when our lease is up. I lived in the Philippines in 2000 for nearly a year in Angeles. Ok for about 4 months but not for me. I was 42 on civil service disability. Philippines health-care system scares the sh.. out of me due to cash upfront or upon discharge. I know you can purchase expat health insurance but I have medicare and tricare for life and my wife Aetna and tricare select. Just provide our insurance cards and walla. NP's. I have yet to receive any medical bill because medicare and tricare take care of it and that includes surgeries. I'm in excellent health by the way. US has it's fair share of issues but I stay away from politics and I don't hang around too many people but yet I'm easy to talk to. US is better for us because we are aging. The issue is with eating Filipino food as good as it tastes it's very very unhealthy. They put magic sarap in it which is banned everywhere else. It's a deadly preservative. And the philippines country is very high in diabetes and cancer and they use very bad oils like canola oil ( rapeseed another oil used by mechanics it's man made) idk when they have coconuts everywhere they could use coconut oil. My friends over there have a tough time getting access to fresh produce and I love green vegetables like artichokes and herbs and broccoli etc but they cook everything in sugar and bad oils. I don't think they have grass-fed Irish butter and mycotoxin mold free coffee like purity I drink. That's where our money goes every pay period. I budget 700 per pay period 1400 a month that is and end up spending almost 1700 usd in groceries a month for the 5 of us. Gas in the philippines is the same price as America if not more. And I don't know where your looking but the price of most 1 bed in the philippines is 600$ usd or more. I've looked everywhere and asked around not for my benefit but to get an idea of costs. But haircuts and massages and Healthcare and dental and Eyewear are pennies on the dollar. And you can find tons of fun things to do for free in the philippines. I love Filipino food but I can't afford to eat it everyday ill bloom out like a pumpkin like I did last time I came.
Fil-Am here. I agree with you. I avoid putting fake shit in my food; maybe once in a while. The work itself Magic Sarap should give you a clue to that it is processed fake stuff. I haven't been back to the Philippines for almost 25 years and I know a lot have changed. My family used to cook sinigang the old-fashion way (tamarind or guava) but now seeing fake packets of preservatives sickens me. You are 100% correct on many things! If you live close to an S&R you can get great Irish Butter and organic olive oil !
Most Filipinos use palm oil, the cheapest oil usually from Malaysia or Indonesia. Coconut oil is more expensive. Most supermarket carry different kinds of oil like Canola which is imported fr Canada. Philippines has like free trade with asean. Palm oil beats coconut oil in terms of yield.

My living expenses, including US trips, are less than $30k a year. I love the financial freedom and the quality of my life, something most Americans can only dream of. Money aside, the brutal individualism of the US is not something I can accept. Albeit I can afford a decent life in a cheaper place compared to Dallas, somewhere in the woods in the US. Last but not least, the lowest price for a haircut I could get with a coupon was $25 plus a lousy $5 tip! I pay less than $1 here.

Steve, yes the Philippines is cheaper, but there are some negatives. As a northerner I can't imagine living in a place where I would need to have air conditioning. I have never had air conditioning in my house because I don't need it. Of course I don't live down south in a hot place like Boston. The weather alone in the Philippines make it a no go for me. But everyone is different. Also a fair bit of what you mentioned is stuff that lots of people never do. I have never had a massage and never will have one and the last time I went into a fast food place was in 2017. There are no fast food places where I live except for lobster shacks and you don't get food there is you want cheap. Yeah, I live on the Maine coast where it hit 80 one day last summer - I thought I was gonna die from the heat.

my mortgage plus utilities in flyover country usa runs about 1200 bucks. gas is 3.09 a gallon. a pound of hamburger is 5.50. i can live on 2000 a month if i'm not too extravagant. of course i own my cars outright and my only debt is my mortgage. 50 pound bag of rice from costco is 30 bucks. Depending on where you live in usa it can be fairly cheap.

Even a simple haircut in the States is about $30 USD

Eggs Steve, 30 eggs in a flat 200 to 250 pesos. Eggs were that much for 1 dozen a year ago in Nevada. Water bill about 8 bucks a month. My sister and everyone else in my hometown in Washington state pays 250 per month. Im paying 185 a month for a nice 2br 2 bath apartment. My girlfriend is having a baby due in Nov. All in 120k for c sec, vaginal birth 80k, $2500 max. And thats a pvt room at Medical city on Clark AFB. It would be $30k in America. My $$$$ goes lots further. Not to mention how i am treated by my gf. Amazing.

Lidl is a supermarket chain that originated from Germany. Similar to Aldi
before my g f passed away,,we would buy king crab, for special occaisions,,we paid 14 dollars a pound here in Alaska,,the other day i saw it selling for 50 dollars a pound ! needless to say,,i dont buy it anymore,,
