You don't realise how wonderful you are Dennis. Warney and gang were outside boathouse on Yarra. Decades after you retired. I started LIllleeeeeeeeeeeeeee chant. Then speechless at Hadlee/Lillee breakfast I took my father to. Always love you mate
He is truly the greatest fast bowler the world has ever seen not just stats says that but his skills also said grown up hearing stories of him from my dad and saw some of his videos on CZcams and became a huge fan of his the greatest fast bowler ever
@Judgement A Come False logic... Just because Lillee pulled out of tours of India and Pakistan, that doesn't mean he wasn't the best. It just means Indian people missed out on seeing the greatest bowler. The greatest batsman of his era, Viv Richards was asked: "Which bowler kept you awake the night before a test match?" and he did not even hesitate in answering "Lillee".
@Judgement A Come Nearly all of Lillee's peers, fellow competitors, umpires and cricket writers of the day rated him as the greatest fast bowler. That's good enough for me. I value their opinion over stats geeks who write stupid, ill-informed comments on CZcams

🐐 bowler. Better than anyone who ever bowled a cricket ball. Had he played 125 tests (there were more first class games than tests in those days) he'd have had 600 plus tickets.
He played in pakistan and get only one wcket in three match series. He was a good bowler in his home condition and in english condition.l think west Indian fast bowlers are far better than him. They successfully performed in all conditions.
Malcolm Marshall is up there, took wickets against all Test playing nations, especially in the subcontinent where other fast bowlers couldn't take wickets
Rove was on from 99-2005 then his wife passed away. So he had a massive break from his TV stuff and took a while for him to come back. Understandably but he was effected by it for a long time. Very sad But Rove McManus was massive in the early 2000’s in Australia.
He had problems with everyone who attacked his bowling . Sunil Gavasker walked out of ground because of his behavior, constantly arguing with Viv Richards and he also got frustrated and kicked Javaid Mindad when he was unable to bowled him out . He also was very disrespectful to other teams players.

Really admire Denniss
