No one is gonna be able to sing during energetic dance parts, that's completely normal for a backing vocal track to take over that part. Otherwise you'd hear their breathing. It's a performance. No matter how good a singer is, they're not gonna sing live throughout the whole performance when it's this energetic. It has no baring on her talent or vocal ability.

If you call this "maintaining her vocals" you have no idea what her voice can do. I don't think she sang any of that. Listen to her voice when she says MTV. That's a voice coming out of her, which has a completely different volume, power and resonance. The rest of it sounds like a recording that is intentionally set at a low, inconspicuous level so that she can sing over it while it gives her a little boost. The fact that all of the other vocals have the exact same too low volume and NO dynamic changes which automatically happen when you do all of those dance moves while singing!!!

No artist, no matter how good their vocal ability, would try to sing this whole performance live with this much dancing, or you'd hear their heavy breathing. It has no baring on her vocal talent. It's what all artists do when they've got this much high energy choreography involved. I wish people would stop picking out the parts where she didn't sing live, as though it's a bad thing, when that's a completely normal thing for ALL artists to do. She could have stood still with a mic and belted out this whole track live, but that's not what this is. It's a performance. It's about visuals, as well as sound.
