Al!! You Rock!! Good Job and God Bless You and Your Family!! 😀❤⚘
Al, I think on your the dividing wall that you put in the tank, the holes should have been on the top and not the bottom. not enough time for the solids to settle. Thats the way concrete tanks are made.
Good morning Lumnah family ☕️ happy Saturday, have a blessed day
Howdy there, Joseph - hope you and yours have a blessed day as well!
@@samvalentine3206 ☕️😎👍
I noticed that the bucket is bent on the tractor. Maybe you should think of getting a Piranha Bar or something similar, if it's not too late.

You two are one hard working couple. I truly enjoy watching you two on your journey. I don’t think there is anything you two can’t do. Love the progress.
I really enjoy watching your vlogs. Can hardly wait for you to start working on the house

@@samvalentine3206 Good Morning Sam. I am going to take another look at my house building plans .We have a Run of 4 openings outside leading to a tilefiied.
Had the sewage people out thinking there would be a lot if sludge...only 2feet water in first tank second one dry?,,
So will check plans. All I know is. The Julie Mango Tree, near the tile field is fruitful every season🥭🥭🥭🤣
We are watching from Illinois. We watch every video. Great work!
Hello Lumnah family and friends! Getting exciting at the OGP!!!
You should consider getting an above ground 100 gal diesel storage tank, since most of your equipment runs on diesel. Or even one for the bed of your truck that is a combination diesel tank and tool box. Maybe even both.
I was thinking the same thing. It'll definitely come in handy in the future.
Not sure he thinks out that far
At least here, not sure of your laws, that way you can put off road diesel in it at a much cheaper price, too.
One homesteader has a 1,000 gal tank on his property. 100 doesn't last long.
@@evalinawarne1337 100 should be plenty once he is all done building, 1000 you would have to have a truck come out to fill the tank
Great job guys! So beautiful up there!♡♡♡♡
looks like the baffle should have the flow through holes should be closer to the top of the tank so the solids do not get to the exit side of the tank but not higher then the fluid level to prevent floaters from crossing over
Thats what i was thinking holes at the top
He installed it per the manufacturer's instructions.
www.roth-america.com/app/uploads/2021/04/Installation-Roth-RMT-Partition.pdf
The holes are in the middle because that’s where the cleanest liquid is. Scum floats at the top solids settle to the bottom
Good Morning Lumnahs! You two made it look easy. I'm with Gina about fear the tractor would go in the hole.
Hey Al the next cut you have to your septic tank after you put dawn on the fitting that goes into the tank. bevel the outside of your pipe with a disc grinder or a belt sander make sure your bevel is at least 1/2 inch from outside to the inside, then coat it with a 50/50 mix of dawn and water you will be amazed at how fast it will go together.
Awesome awesome Al Gina and Olivia,
Looking forward to seeing the off-grid tiny house completed and you all moving in. God bless Y'all and have a wonderful weekend folks.
Much peace and love from Northeast Texas 🤠🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Should get an off road diesel tank for the property & have your fuel delivered or haul it yourself. The savings over the years could be substantial on fuel costs.
When installing the 4" Sch40 pipe in the tank, consider chamfering the end of the pipe to make it easier to push through the tight opening. You can also cut a "V" in the pipe end for same result.
Wow! You make the best instructional videos on the web today. I am so impressed by all of your knowledge Al.
I know im not the only one to tell you but the baffle seems upside down compared to all other ones i have seen. The one compartment will fill up and over flow to other side when only quarter filled. Hate to see you have to change it after you've used it. Cheers
Holes should be on the high side…you get to do a little swimming to correct. Good idea with the schedule 40 pipe for added strength in the tank. We have one similar. Great job. Thanks for sharing your daily lives & your commitment to your family.
I just checked an installation manual for what I think is the same brand of tank (Roth MultiTank) and it does appear that Al did in fact put the center section (of the 3) upside down. Stay tuned!
I'm sure Gina would vollunteer to do it. heehee
Great job to you and your wife on the homestead keep up the good work.
Good morning. That was a pretty image when you pointed to the sky. Al you have alot of patience to be able to put together everything you do. I'm so impressed .
sure looks like you might want that center divider turned over so the holes are on top. Enjoy your content, thanks
you popping up out of the septic tank reminded me of woodchuck hunting, when the chucks pop their head out
Good morning y'all, from the south of Texas.
Put a light bar front and rear on the tractor… mobile flood light for any work 👍
Looks like you installed the divider inside tank upside down! Holes should be towards the top of tank not the bottom. Good luck
OOps.
Holes should be most definitely near the top of the tank , not the bottom .
@@brianfisher3991 Keeps solids out of the leech field. Simple fix if the tank doesn't float. here isn't that much water in it yet so off with the boots and get them rotated. Should not even need to be disassembled.
He didn't. He followed the manufacturer's instructions.
www.roth-america.com/app/uploads/2021/04/Installation-Roth-RMT-Partition.pdf
Instructions show the holes at the top. So it's in upside down. Or the camera was upside down....... Im so confused.........
Good morning Lumnah fam! Waking up to a beautiful 63 degree morning here in southern Texas. Thank you Lord for the refreshment of cooler air. You guys make it all look so easy! Congrats on getting that done before the rain comes. That tank would have been quite the bobber!

Looks good 👍🏻 Gina, I put a perennial flower garden around my septic tank heads. That way I can hide them and it creates a barrier so no one drives over it. Plus you get to enjoy beautiful flowers 🤗 lilies, hostas (which the deer eat😤) salvia,..... I'm sure your a little ways away from flowers but just wanted to plant an idea seed😉
Yeah, I call Hosta deer feed. LOL, but I don't mind too much. God love 'em.

Good morning from Sweden! I have heard some people here having trouble with the plastic tanks due to cracks, we where recommended concrete in our soil conditions but we was not allowed to do anything more than seeding afterwards so it was big money to watching someone else do the work
That was excellent, it professional and enjoy watching you work, it is hard work but the fruit is coming, wish that you will have a big solar system to power everything, so you will need no outside source of energy or food, you will be a free, wish you luck and happiness, again thank you so much. we love you and family.
You better not get used to driving around with your door open the hinges will start to loosen and you wont be able to shut it
Good morning. I certainly hope things went better for you than my sister. Her contractor had 800 gal in theirs. Got rain. It popped out. Had to start over. They were to be in the house by end of June. They will be blessed if they are in by end of September. I pray it holds for you. Have a beautiful weekend. Waiting on final inspection for occupancy.
till the tank fills up 60% , let them keep rocks or 4 ft of bricks across the top of the tank so it will
not pop out

Good afternoon from Germany. I am either improving on my prophesy skills or becoming a hardcore Lumnah Acres fan - when you tightened the ropes around the IVC tote, Al, I knew you would say: "That's not going anywhere!". And you did. Nice ;o))
Things are starting to take shape quickly! Great job with the tamping and compaction. So many tank installers just dig the hole, and set the tank, only to have it shift or settle a year later.
It also a bonus that there is no ground water seepage into the septic tank hole. All of your buildings will have no issues with moisture from below. Your slabs should be very stable.
Gooood morning Al, Gina and Olivia, I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Wow that's a full day of hard work!!
You need to put lights on the excavator if you want to work at night. Gina was right the excavator would have been better for setting the tank. You need more water in the tank to keep it in the ground cause y’all have some BIG rains. The baffle is upside down, it will cause you trouble down the road in several years. I hope you have all of this figured right for gravity feed from house to tank to leech field. I don’t want to see you have any trouble with this system.
Al is in way over his head and will not read any instuctions, am sure the tank came with instructions on divider. Can't believe he let his wife down in that shoulder deep hole , if it caves in your dead.
Did you get the hydraulic hose changed on the excavator ☺️have a wonderful and beautiful weekend 🙏🏻☺️
Hi Al and Gina. Sure glad you had everything you needed to take care of the tank. One thing short on, was daylight, and that was out of your control. Each day, your going to have less light, so try and figure that in your projects. 😉 G-D Bless

Diesel fuel, contact local fuel delivery energy coop. They will hook u up with off-road diesel tanks for your off grid property, the savings on off road fuel is astronomical. Plus there's a bonus, don't have to worry about deducting the road tax from tax forms because ur already purchasing the fuel without the tax.
WOW GREAT WATER PRESSURE!
Just glad you are safely out of that deep hole with no sidewall collapses.
...and with the Roth plastic tank it has nice big holes on the corners where you can tie tag lines to guide it into the hole.

Hi, I’m glad to hear that. Take care 😊
Should’ve put much wider insulation board on top of pipe. Putting on sides can reduce width needed on top. Don’t believe insulation on bottom will do anything. You’re still doing a great job though! Love the videos!
You should look into hydro power. It would be cool to see a wood wheel make you power 24/7. We are looking into it for our greenhouse in Minnesota.
Goodmorning lumnhas acres family glad to see the off grid is coming together hows the garden doing and haven't see Olivia.
I think it would probably be a good idea to make sure that your septic system is buried deep enough that as much as possible of it is beneath the frost line as possible, to avoid possible issues with it during the winter. The frost line is how deep freezing temperatures penetrate during the winter.
👍👍 That's a big job!!!
You folks have a great day! 💗
The word of the day = PROGESS! Bet is feels GREAT! Proud of you Guys. I miss Ms. Lady O.
It is most likely too late now but When I installed a new septic system where I live the last thing I had to do was put about ten pounds of bacon in the septic tank before closing it up. This is how I was told to introduce the bacteria to the system. that was 15 years ago and it working just fine! I had a little better results with the new well I had drilled. I had to drill to 240 feet but I had 70 gallons a minute output and the water on my old well had 700 parts per million of solids (hard water). The new well came in at 7 parts per million of solids. I have a almond orchard that I use a drip irrigation system to water my trees with. Watching your progress on something you have created has brought back allot of good memories. Best of luck to the both of you!
