Careful of the words you use, they are powerful. The hose doesn’t cause cancer, you are blessed and covered in prayer 🙏!!!!
Proverbs 18:21 puts it this way: “The tongue has the power of life and death.” The stakes are high. Your words can either speak life, or your words can speak death. Our tongues can build others up, or they can tear them down. I’m learning this daily guys! Love the channel

I have a GREAT idea. Since the exhaust is so SAFE.... please feel free to stick your head on top of it for 2 minutes and breath all the air. You WILL be fine right?
Dont rely on tech to keep you safe. If you need to ask the question then VENT it outside PLEASE. After 20years working in a "safe" asbestos mine people eventual said ops not safe but they thought the same thing as you do in the back of your mind.
I can come for free and do the work you supply the pipe.

FYI - Suggest you look at getting 1 or 2 of the Zero G hoses from Walmart. They are drinking water approved and you have no problem rolling and unrolling them. They are black in color and feel like a fabric versus vinyl. They are very lightweight too. We used to have a couple of those white hoses and we now use the Zero G in our 5th Wheel RV with no problem.

Solar thermal is a fun way to make hot water as you can run it fully off sunlight with the collector array and a solar panel to run the pump. The evacuated tube setup is best in a place with snow as it is much harder for large amounts of snow to build up on a round pipe then on a large flat panel.

My wife and I have land 30 minutes east of Coeur d Alene where we intend to retire. We got an estimate of 28K to drill a well so we decided that we will install a water tank and haul from the public source 9 miles away. I searched CZcams for "best water tanks for areas that freeze", and there you were. Now I'm going to watch your well drilling videos to see what happened. I'm going to be living off-grid pretty soon. I'm excited and a little scared too. I have never been 100% off-grid. Once upon a time I killed my breakers and used solar to power my lights, propane to cook with but I've never been without instant access to water. That's going to be a challenge but if I didn't think I could overcome it then I wouldn't be doing this. I'm a scientist. I built a nuclear fusion reactor (not self sustaining). If it was self sustaining then finding the off switch in a malfunction would be difficult. I've built some weird stuff. This step could be my chance to explore my creativity to the fullest extent. But still, failure is always a possibility..

You seem to be a happy family on a great adventure. Idaho is beautiful. I want to find your adventures in Tennessee next. I'm just getting caught up but if you are going to be there much in the winter you might think about insulating the floors above the crawl space. Though heat rises you must be "spending" a lot of your heating budget to keep all that area warm. You would then need to worry about your water pump freezing but maybe you could build a wall around round it and heat a much smaller space.

Growing up we had a water storage tank that must have been about 9thousand gallons and every year our well would run dry in the summer. One year after the water came back we started to notice a peculiar smell coming from the water then a color and really nasty smell. It turned out to be a squirrel that made it's way into the tank then into the pump in the house hahahahah that was pretty nasty but dad got it cleaned out and we went back to drinking it again and we didn't die hahahahaha
