Enlisted is a pretty fun time, though while you can absolutely play without spending a scent of real money, the progression massively slows down about half way through each nation's unlock path. That being said, it's not really that big of a problem since the starting bolt action rifles are some of the best weapons in the game, being able to one-tap anybody at just about any reasonable range.
this is definitely among my top 3 favorite Badger videos. When I watched it for the first time, I legitimately got a stomachache from laughing so much.
Also there was an Allied pilot in WWII who ejected after getting shot down, pulled out his side arm while the enemy plane came back around and he managed to fatally shoot the enemy pilot, downing the whole plane. The Soviet PTRD-41(used in the video) is the single shot version of the semi-automatic PTRS-41, both anti-tank rifles chambered in 14.5x114mm. Mind you that is a higher caliber than a .50BMG. In fact until South Africa's Denel NTW-20 and the US Anzio 20mm, it was the largest caliber sniper rifle. And if you think BMG ammo is expensive, 14.5mm and 20mm are ungodly expensive.

I used to play enlisted on a specialized windows school laptop. I always rocked and will forever rock the Axis Snipers. I love the starter Kar98 K (Kriegsmoddel) with the scope.
How about Badger's Gears 5 video? It good. So many WW2 guns are such classics. The 98k, FG42, MG42, MP40, BAR, etc. are just of the visually satisfying weapons; stamped steel or wood bodies regardless. I've played a little bit of Enlisted, but I dropped it because I didn't have anybody to play or grind the classes with. Dropped it just when I was about to get an armored car to focus on World of Warships: Legends and recently World of Tanks.
Saw the original vid right after it came out and it led to me playing a TON of Enlisted. Although the progression has had its ups and downs because Gaijin, it is a fire game as far as gameplay goes and because it's free is absolutely worth checking out if you're craving some WW2 shooter mayhem.
I played this game earlier this year, kinda fell off due to iRacing, though. Was a lot of fun, and I was semi-decent at it in most rounds. Posted a video on here back in March, and a short clip on Twitter. Hm. Maybe I should turn that one into a Shorts and put it on here, too. XD
