Someone else actually pointing out the very obvious. Despite City ending up with 33 shots, they very often take far too long to actually shoot. And that allows the opposing defense to reset, get in position, and not defend running back towards their own goal. Grealish, Silva, Foden, and Rodri absolutely refuse to take shots and are constantly cutting the ball back and recycling it endlessly over and over again. Far too many people don’t realize it’s not just Haaland who’s impacted by this. Alvarez likewise hardly gets a touch when he plays as the forward. Most of his touches come when he abandons the forward position and goes out wide to collect the ball.

As a real madrid fan i felt bad the entire game and i think city deserved to go though. It was awful to watch them sit back and defend. I understand why they did it but I don’t like it.
