There's, not a lot of hate going around which is something we need to hang on to because we see the unrest which is happening in our neighboring countries and we need to ask ourselves if we want the same for our country because some of these comments are hateful and instigative towards white people. Yes, there is a lot of whites that own vast lands but the ones that contribute to our economy need our backing. The same can be said about black farmers. Let's unite and not divide, especially, if that divides us based on skin color.

What needs to happen is appropriation without compensation. But the black leaders are way too timid to take the land from the illegal Mzungu settlers and give it back to their own black people. It's unacceptable that a few mzungus own more land than the natives. Blacks cannot own more land than the Mzungus in Europe. So why should the Mzungus be owning more land than the natives in Africa? Windhoek is not a German (or white) name. The area is named after the Winterhoek Mountains, which is where the Oorlms (coloured people who later assimilated into the Nama tribe) trekked from 250 years ago. Also, white Namibians don't consider themselves to be European. If Namibia is to become a rich country, they should invest in human capital (education, and professional training). Farming accounts for only, 7% of GDP in the formal economy (3% for South Africa), and it's even less in most developed countries. Namibia has huge potential, with stable institutions, and civil liberties, however on the ease of doing business rankings it lags way behind, not only developed countries, but also countries that are natural to compare Namibia to. Namibia is within upper middle income countries ranked 34th out of 55, and 104th out of 190 in the global ranking. The process of registering a business, and getting building permits is particularly cumbersome. Besides that, poor and rural areas don't have access to finance and electricity.

And just a correction, whites don't own 70% of land, commercial farmland is only around 45% so whites own a large chunk of that percentage.
And yes, we do have a land redistribution programme. So far it has not been successful. Firstly, some of the people that got land do not have the necessary skills to run commercial farms, so these farms are lying idle. But then most of those are not stable and went straight into making civil war. Sometimes it is best to learn gradually from your "enemy", while you are already in control. The evidence we have in Namibia, most of our black people who have been settle at commercial farms, we have seen those farms degrading because most of our black people, still have not had the proper education on farming. it is exactly this, that makes a lot of other African countries degrading. Namibian is only 35 years old as an independent state but we are doing so much better than many countries, that have gained their independence in the 1960's. Of cause, we have those white racist people who do not want to share the land but that should be the focus of correction, instead of concentrating on getting rid of white people in totality. We should not depend on them but there is still too much, we have to learn from them. This world and its system are not built on African values but those of the white man. To outsmart them, we need to learn how they think and plan. See we have so many graduates just seating in the street, solely wanting the government to provide them with jobs, instead of being innovative themselves. As the young gentleman said, there are plenty of opportunities here and it is true. On a daily, we do see foreigners from all over the world coming to our country. It does not take them long, to see opportunities that Namibians do not see, to start up a business. We have seen even Zimbabweans, who came here and started selling airtime or brooms etc, in the streets. Today some of them have become Employers. We lack innovation and creativity and the vision to see opportunities. This young man is a great future to the country. Any person, who can do by himself, instead of just seating home complaining, is a great asset to a country. We need more people with the mindset: What can I do for my country, instead of what can my country do for me. A country can only prosper when its people are focused and full of visions.

I want to see what the place looks like but it’s just sitting one place and talk.
