The Magic full court shot was in 1987 against the Nuggets. The Lakers ended up winning 128-95. Cool thing is...I actually went out and nailed every last one of these shots lol. 😁🏀❤

Half court shots are still amazing! They can duck the life out of the opposing team. In my opinion,unlike back in the day, half court shots are more common in the NBA now and are practiced more by players. I also believe they should be 4pts like at All-Star game.

Unless something new has transpired here that I'm unaware of, Jerry Harkness has the longest made field goal in NBA/ABA history which was ruled good.
On November 13, 1967, in an ABA game between the Pacers and Chapperels in Dallas, Harkness took the ball from just inside the baseline and BANKED IN a 92-foot hook shot.
Initially, everyone thought an overtime session was upon arrival, since the that was the ABA's initial season, and the NBA didn't institute the 3pt line just yet,
even Harkness himself wasn't aware of it until the official, Joe Belmont, approached him and said "Jerry, it's over. That was a 3 pointer."
