The show starts with the sheltered kids struggling to kill a single walker to them killing multiple elite soldiers who have survived in the apocalypse for years
Haven’t watched the show but I’m sure every single soldier NEVER hits a kill shot on these teenagers unless the character is good and ready to die after some big sacrifice 🙄

@@uwumart2023 I stopped watching TWD before the attack on the saviours and wen I heard rick was leaving that was it for me.Same wth FTWD after they supposedly killed off Madison.I sat thru every painfully slow,dull and silly episode of WB season 1 and managed 4 eps of season 2.Then I heard about the end credits scene so I skipped to last episode and watched it.(BEST BIT IN THE ENTIRE 2 SEASONS).

When you summarise season 2 it actual doesnt sound that bad. If they just cut out all the boring filler and dumb teen drama this show wouldve been SO much better!

This show was lame for 99% of it's duration but it had some really good moments and the post credit scene is bigger than the entire show itself.

If they don't do a Civic Republic vs Commonwealth war I'm going to be desappointed, they're both massive factions with a standing millitary and extremely territorial.
I would not be surprised if the civic republic already has some sort of pact with commonwealth

@@brianachim2670 Not in alliance, but they know of eachother or even in contact. I feel like part 3 of s11 will be about the CR (not the military) visiting commonwealth, OR the CRM seeing commonwealth as another test for delaying reanimation.

Supposedly the Commonwealth has a much smaller army
They could very easily bring an end to the apocalypse if all the colonies unite just for once. They certainly got the manpower for it, clearing the lands of zombies should be a piece of cake. But instead, they go warring against each other because if they end up killing all the zombies, the role-playing post-apocalyptic fantasy would come to a stop and they've would have to go back to rules and regulations and dull 9 to 5 jobs, and who would want to return to that drudgery, right?
Nahh thats always been about humanity. Always against each other instead of a common threat. Just look at this covid thing. Usa and europe could have supplied the entire world with vaccines but instead they hoard and sell them for profits
They should stay as individual colonies. Colonies can band together as countries. They should have govts and rules. Examericans could defeat the dead with no problem . The dead are like animal like but less intelligent. They should be able to attack and destroy them easily. They should hunt the horde instead
You could say the same about our world but it’s not that easy is it?
They're building a zombie universe and it might crossover.

There are but the story focuses on the kids lives more than the environment they live in.

Season 2 was a huge improvement over Season 1 and loved how they ended the show with many ways to connect to the future of TWDU with some characters possibly returning in more spinoffs.

Plus Jadis is giving off the type of vibes Vandal Savage and Ada Wong would be proud of in her survival and status climb in her organization.
I'm going to have to make time to watch this series from the beginning when I get the opportunity but thanks for this recap.

The world beyond is that type of show that makes you yell at the screen. The stupidity of their actions. How they're all so healthy and hearty in an apocalypse? Why use stone as a weapon when there are a million things they can use..i can go on for days.
Ive always wondered if they'd add running zombies. We did get some jogging in the original walking dead season 1 when Glen and Rick were running through the city but that's really it I think
I think that was more of a production oversight then it being canon to the show, cuz if it was then we would have seen freshly turned zombies jogging after the main characters all the time

@@Ghostmite98 I think it was definitely meant to be canon. Darabont had walkers using rocks against windows, opening door knobs, picking up teddy bears, seeming to have some form of memory left. At least in the first season
@@FlipflopB sadly now it’s not canon and it’s technically a plot hole/oversight now that got poorly explained as “they were new zombies” but now new zombies don’t do anything of the sort

The walking dead universe never had even the idea of zombies in media before the outbreak. It explains a lot of things across all Series and comic

Thank you for this. I can't bring myself to watch any of the spinoffs after what they did with the original show but I've invested a lot of time into this world and i want to see it to the end. Or at least until The rick grimes story is over then Im 100% done.

@@ems7500 That's what I said! LoL. I enjoyed Madison and Travis and Nick also but after Morgan showed up and Dwight and Sherri it got so much better and felt like TWD. The nuclear missile going off and radioactive zombies was awesome.

Remember when living outside a community was a struggle and we had people making tiny mistakes and dying for it and your main character had to learn how to be civil after 5 years out there.....well here is the same world but with teens and the hijinks

The end credit scene is VERY telling. I can sort of see why they kept it low key, but it still doesn't justify this series. I think it shows how they intend on diverging from the comic storyline. I always thought another war is too basic for 3 movies, but now that they have a common enemy(runners) they have a reason to have Rick bring everyone together just like in the comics but it will bring more intensity.

This show was excruciating to watch and the plot holes are endless!!!!!! Also how they choose to make things hard every step of the way and do a cross country trip just so they can take one of the kids to help with this so called future????? Nothing about Rick except Jadis using him as a ticket in!
In my opinion , season 1 is meant to have alot of plotholes to connect it more with season 2 , 99% of the plotholes are explained and connected to s2

So it's trash? I was thinking of watching it just for the CRM which is supposed to be bad assery black ops secret society chopper gang who does Nazi experiments on human beings to find a cure but I see we're not getting any of that at all.
My favorite characters were Felix and the dad I enjoyed the show it was different but I definitely had a good time watching it.

I can see how this show only lasted 2 seasons. Like ST Discovery, it's an embarrassment to the whole brand. Half the time they were crying and hugging. They only been out for 3 months and they thought they were baddazz

Teenage drama and a seriously poor 1 at that.
It isn't even teenage drama, because even teenage drama is 100x better than this. This is ultimately just slow, bad story writing and character dialogue.
Season 2 wasnt that bad , because it focused on rick's legacy and they actually improve the story writing , season 1 was bland and boring AF but it had good moments

Although I still struggle with buying that the core four are now important zombie killing, and cure searching badasses. Seems forced.
The Jadis/CRM parts were interesting though. If the trash lady from TWD was the best part of the spinoff then it really didn't offer a whole lot.
