Listen. I get that it's cool to rag on Bungie and Destiny because of lightfall.
But being a lifelong Destiny vet. Destiny and Bungie have always had their ups and downs. It's just that it was very jarring that we went from the best yearly expansion in Destinys life to the most lack luster expansion.
It just feels like mfs were just waitin for Destinys downfall so they could throw Bungie under the bus. Because say what you will, Bungie's model for Destiny was a huge page turner for other game studios causing them to do they're own failed live service games that couldn't last a month after launch while Bungie has been keeping Destiny going for ten years strong
I'm hoping the next saga will do the same.
Shiit, if there is a next saga. Don't get me wrong, I love Destiny to death. But I wouldn't be too choked up if Sony does decide to pull the plug on Destiny for Bungie after Final Shape and its three episodes.
Just because bungie has always had their ups and downs does not give them an excuse to fail as hard as they do. Most of their decisions just require common sense and common courtesy, but they dont even have that, they just want money with minimal effort, and when that backfires on them they panic. Yes they have always had their ups and downs, but eventually this game will die because of it
@@anosvoldigoad3021 nah. I'm not excusing them from the lack luster that was lightfall. I'm saying that being a lifelong Destiny vet, I think it's laughable that lightfall would be the death note for the game. Destiny through its ten year long lifespan has faced way worse lows than that
Same weapons same strikes , you cannot just come into this game you literally have to be a week one playa or nobody will raid with you
Bungie screwed up with the Destiny franchise. It pissed off players like and disuaded me from conitnuing to play the game.
When Bungie makes paid content you paid for obsolete and main campaign unavailable for replay, that becomes the final straw really. The FOMO is bad too.
Bungie screwed up by adding crafting, then forcing players to find Five blueprints.
Now recently adding FOMO,
You can earn many blueprints in the game,
But not all activities provide engrams for other game modes.
So farm something while missing out on other things.

I think Marathon is going to flop. Once everyone found out it was a hero extraction shooter, that killed the hype. It's going to ge a mix of Valorant and Tarkov. 🤢

Marathon actually had a major shake-up not too long ago and it really tanked my interest in the game. Former Valorant game director Joe Ziegler replaced Christoper Barrett, and with this change in leadership came a new direction for the game. The game is pivoting from custom player characters to a cast/roster of selectable characters. The whole reason I like Destiny 2 is because it's "my" character, "my" guardian, and "my" journey. I was really excited to create my own character and explore this new world Marathon had to offer. I don't want another Valorant or Overwatch, I just don't want another hero shooter in general.

I don’t think a last of us multiplayer would’ve done well and I think bungees gonna be fine with the final shape because it’s the end of a saga that’s taking them 10 years to get to.
After the final shape, I don’t know what they’re gonna do with destiny 2.

Bungie already admitted to the renounced D3 that they said they wasnt going to make.
I need Sony to take over, current leadership at Bungie is in shambles, so if they replaced bad leadership with bad leadership, we’re not exactly losing much here, but if they replaced bad leadership with good one, the game will improve for sure.
Bungie did a massive thing by keeping people engaged for so many years, regardless of drop in revenue, D2 is a cashcow that has been milked to death and beyond. I expect the final to flop not because of bungie but come on its been 7 years. I hate subscription models and sunsetting but i played it several times even then. However, graphical improvements make this game seem like gaming in the 80s and the story is wildly teenish. The universe is great but the depth is insanely lackluster.
I liked the video but when you brought up marathon you missed some information on it that made some players turn away from it. Marathon was originally supposed to be a in depth extraction shooter originally slated to come out this year in 2024 but got pushed back a year and now its supposedly a hero shooter more akin to Overwatch. I believe they are also building Marathon from the ground up again so its not coming anytime soon.

You're teling me that bungie. A developer and it's community couldn't get their pvp situation remotely stable. Had the audacity to kill it's potential competition? Well it's not surprising due to company incentives and what not but I don't feel bad about what happened to bungie either.
Bungie left Microsoft with the intention of moving on to greener pastures but they had to give up halo they not only found greener pastures they found the freaking garden of Eden they are basically one of the founders for modern-day live service games so why the hell did they decide to be bought by their former employers competitor

This isnt a charity. They had many chances, and they blew those chances every single time. Everything good they ever did, was when Activision was holding their hand. They then turned around and continually blamed Activision for anything that went wrong. Besides Witch Queen, everything they have done, has been an overpriced mediocre flop.
I hope that the finial shape is actually worth it.

@@my0866 They aren't removing anything anymore other than seasonal content, and they only removed stuff initially because the game was nearly 200gb, because they coudn't properly store it and save space like they can now (sorta), I don't blame them for doing it either and I'm kinda glad they did, because people think it's overwelming now just imagine if all that content was still here, yes it would be easier to understand the story better, but it would still be overwelming to New Lights, and imagine how big the game's storage would be.
Absolutely zero interest in marathon. In fact, I feel marathon is the reason light fall sucks so much. Resources and focus is being peeled away from destiny. Destiny is their cash cow and they shouldn't neglect it for a dumb passion project that absolutely nobody wants
I am a destiny player 100% I have ridiculous game time over both titles and I can say hand on heart that I do not believe for one second they will rectify season or micro transaction costs and tho I want final shape to exceed expectation as indeed it must I have zero faith that it will come even close

Bungie is not stupid. They will not fix anything since they are making money. I can say this with 100% sureity that final shape is making them a lot of money right now. I will actually be surprise if they low revenue or no revenue with the final shape pre-order. If that happened I would actually admit that destiny players have brains for not pre-ordering 80 dollar dlc.

Bungie will just carry on ruining the game, and damaging the new player experience by missing major chunks of the story , adding FOMO and a broken crafting system totally dependent on RNG and a hope to find or receive as a reward Five of the same weapon with a hope it has a red border.

Final shape looks good, but i need more from Bungie. They need to pull out ALL the stops. Exotic class items and prismatic ain't enough.

The worst dlc has always been and always will be curse of Osiris, the fact that u didn't know it was easily their worst dlc makes me think that you haven't even played the game and are just dogging on bungie because you got nothing else to post.
