It was a huge opening night in Vegas. The were a lot of big stars in the audience - such as Cary Grant. Elvis was celebrating his 5 year movie contract ending with MGM. Now he could do what he wanted... Anyway, this concert was a really big deal and he knocked the ball out of the park. It was a resounding success!
We have so many great memories of him they will never be forgotten. Till day I’m gone.in 1971 I was fortunate to have said to him that he was the best and shake his hand.
With all the negative that everyone said about Elvis it the video with him and the little girl with cancer and I know why I love him . He was a complex individual who loved everyone of his family and friends What a hunk

When I was in school in the 80s there were kids who wanted to be thought of as cool so they'd use Elvis Presley's way of talking, saying ' man ' at the end of every sentence. I didn't even realize at the time that it was an Elvis imitation. That was just the accepted way to talk if you wanted to be thought of as cool. He was the most influential performer of them all.
He truly is after all these years an inspiration for man kind. We know he was a man, he was human and because of his love for others, wanting to be a good man, a humble man, a generous man he worked himself to death.
