In 1957 $100,000.00 in today's 2021 dollars would be equivalent to nearly $1,000,000.00

Graceland needs someone a little more knowledgeable and articulate to speak on camera without all the, "uh's" and "aah's". The Stutz *is not* "an Italian model car" as he states. It has a GM platform & drivetrain & was only assembled in Italy. There are other videos on CZcams with a rather portly woman who also works in the archival department & who repeatedly gives out incorrect, misinformation on Elvis' cars. If these people won't take the time to learn factual information about what they're discussing, then they shouldn't be spokesmen.

Actually @Marc Poindexter the Stutz was a legit make based on the original Stutz cars of the early 20th century. There were independent Stutz dealers in the 1970's and the cars were featured in manufacturers new car shows across the U.S. You're correct that the Stutz's were based on GM platforms, often Pontiac & often with Grand Prix drivetrains. But Stutz's were an actual legit brand/make.

Again sir, I understand your point. However the exterior of the car was exclusively Stutz , as well as most of the interior fitments. The Grand Prix did not come with gold-plated gauges, mink carpeting nor seats like the Stutz did.
